That final scene of Jean realizing he had met his match in Camille made the series for me.

I'm not buying the chemistry/forbidden love with Valmont and Jacqueline and it also seems that Jacqueline's husband was trying to seduce Camille (and not the other way around) so while I can feel sorry for Jacqueline having a shit husband, that sympathy dries up when I think she chose to support her creep husband and turn her back on the young girl she promised to love as a daughter. So Valmont insta-buying Jacqueline's version without even letting Camille explain (and using her scars from the suicide attempt as proof) rings false as well.
