jewel21 November 13, 2022 Share November 13, 2022 Quote To distract Intelligence from the investigation into his son, Chief O'Neal forces the team to handle a "dead fish" case. When that dead fish turns into a complicated heater case, Burgess is thrown back into difficult memories from her past. Airdate: 11/16/2022 Link to comment
Guildford November 18, 2022 Share November 18, 2022 FINALLY they remember that Kim was actual a victim of a crime & let her explore her PTSD, better late than never. It shouldn't have taken a whole season to address it though. I enjoyed the case, I thought Marina did a great job with it. Her sitting in the car while Adam was in the house alone was full of tension, considering that she was abducted from a car. I thought that was well done. Very convenient that Felony Barbie was put on leave so she didn't have to see Kim's PTSD, and the episode didn't miss her at all and the teamwork was great. More Platt too. I'm loving Atwater & Torres together. It's a relief that he wasn't lumbered with Borestead. And then they ruined it by the ending.... ughhh it literally sucked the oxygen out of the room.. I was enjoying the peace and then we get this forced female partnership. There is zero onscreen presence with them & as per usual Upton never asks Kim how she is or even if they solved the case. Of course Kim figures things out despite felony barbie spending all her time staring at the wall, did she read Ruzek's notes about the cabin? Clearly not. And you'd think the first thing you'd do if you came across that shed & suspected something may have happened there you'd take some photos before destroying the crime scene integrity. It's not like it was they had to work quickly to save someone's life. Nope just dig it up... just stupid... but then Upton is involved so it was always going to be stupid. 1 Link to comment
jewel21 November 18, 2022 Author Share November 18, 2022 I really enjoyed this episode. It was chock full of tension and I was really happy that they remembered Kim had been through a horrible experience and might have PTSD as a result. So far I'm really liking this sex trafficking's storyline and I am looking forward to the next episode. 3 Link to comment
NJRadioGuy November 18, 2022 Share November 18, 2022 I just loved the fact that FelonyBarbie™ had all this time freelancing the case full-time and got nowhere. Meanwhile Kim drops by for two minutes, sees one sticky note, and cracks the case wide open in however long it takes to cross a state line, go into a creepy abandoned bunker without a search warrant, or having state, county, and municipal pleece arriving with lights-and-sirens. The only thing that was missing would have been if the bunker doors closed in behind them as the credits rolled. As usual, Marina rocked her scenes as well as Tracy didn't. And there REALLY has to be a come-to-Jesus knockdown/dragout between Kim and FelonyBarbie™. Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy November 19, 2022 Share November 19, 2022 Huh? Will all the forensic evidence they found in that cabin not be admissible in court due to illegal search? Will Kim/Adam/Kevin ever find out about what really happened to Roy? Hey writers - re the shower scene, why it’s never Kevin or Adam? Just curious… ”My ma drives me.” How can someone badass be adorable at the same time? 😆 1 Link to comment
Nintra16 November 20, 2022 Share November 20, 2022 (edited) Good episode. Disappointed that the writers didn't let Kim lean on Adam. She's suffering. At least Adam didn't believe her. I thought the end was going to be with Kim and Hailey having it out over the Roy thing. I doubt that moment will ever come. Looking forward to next week if it airs. I'm also liking the small attention to detail, like Torres giving his call sign as "5-0-2-1 Ocean" instead of the typical 50-21. Edited November 20, 2022 by Nintra16 Link to comment
