I have to agree, I was a teenage and in HS from 79-83. We went from 70s styles (jeans, hair very natural, flowy dresses )and at the start by senior year, we had girls in miniskirts and people sporting spiked hair. Hair was big, but it got bigger after that. I was never big in fashion but I did the miniskirts and then when Madonna hit, I did the lace etc..... It really was varied. MTV also was a big influence on style, it just depended who you followed.

I didn't have a problem with the costumes for 1981.

Like you all said, 'the 80s' was basically 1983 to 1987 maybe.

There was, as my 1985 high school yearbook shows.
