On Tuesday I ran into Alexandra Daddario at a panel hosted by The Kids Mental Health Foundation (where she serves as a celebrity champion), and she said that in Season 2, “bigger, really cool stuff happens,” especially given the reveals of the Season 1 finale. “Now that Rowan knows who she is” — a Mayfair witch — “what does that mean for her? So she gets to do all this cool, crazy stuff.” Daddario said that Season 2, which is “pretty continuous” with Season 1, has wrapped filming in New Orleans and next is en route to… the Emerald Isle. “We get to have some Irish backdrops,” she shared, “so we’ll see how that changes the flavor of the show.”

Here is a short teaser featuring Elizabeth McGovern for the new Anne Rice TV Series "The Talamasca" currently in production, set to air on AMC. 

The Order of the Talamasca is an all-seeing, all-knowing secret organization, established to research, track, and oversee the paranormal world (vampires, witches, werewolves, etc.). The show will focus on Helen (Elizabeth McGovern), the veteran of the organization and head of the (New York House?, most of the filming is being done in the UK) of the Talamasca, who fears that the Talamasca is falling under some shady leadership. After a mysterious death, Helen recruits Guy Anatole (Nicholas Denton) as her protégé. 

The Talamasca will also star William Fichtner and Maisie Richardson-Sellers.

I won't be watching this season either unless I hear it's vastly improved. I came here after the 2nd season ended to make a snarky comment about the lack of comments, but I couldn't even get myself interested enough to do that. 

I hate watched both seasons. I don't think I have another season in me. My husband would be in another room and shout "these people sound like morons". He's not wrong.

More "Anne Rice's Talamasca: The Secret Order" stuff along with a possible release date after visiting talamas.ca website with a countdown clock set for June 22, 2025.       

Based on characters and themes from Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, Talamasca focuses on a secretive agency that monitors and protects us from the supernatural world. The series follows Guy Anatole, who falls headlong into a world of secret agents and immortal beings who, up to now, have maintained a fragile balance with the mortal world.

I totally forgot about this show. Last Autumn, they put the first season on Netflix, I think, and I binge-watched it as I was doing things in the morning. I didn't mind it that way. But I haven't seen this season, except for the first episode. I just remember a girl wearing headphones, and one of the things I hate: magically growing children, they're suddenly adults.
