paigow October 8, 2022 Share October 8, 2022 With all this baggage, is Bruce Wayne actually the bio-son of Thomas & Martha???? Link to comment
Bort October 8, 2022 Share October 8, 2022 I definitely see Batman traits in Martha. She’s a very sneaky moral crusader. And knows her way around a fight. Like when her husband is brainwashed to kill her. Good thing Mrs. Pennyworth showed back up. I guess that big honking bruise on Martha’s head made her suspicious of domestic violence. I did love that girl talk scene at the playground with Martha and Mrs. P, it was very cute and hilarious. So it is that specific song by Sandra they’re using as a trigger. Which… why? Couldn’t they very well use any song? Why that song? 1 Link to comment
AmigaJoe October 16, 2022 Share October 16, 2022 (edited) Not really about this particular episode, more of a general question. As I've watched this show the past couple of years, it really strikes me how the writers have concocted an entire alternate history of post-war Britain, using many elements of the society that really did exist. I'd be fascinated with how viewers from the UK, if they were around, view this concept. Edited October 16, 2022 by AmigaJoe 3 Link to comment
tennisgurl October 24, 2022 Share October 24, 2022 I really like the gimmick this season of a different character doing the "Previously On" every week in character, its a much more fun way to give us a recap then just showing up relevant clips. Well shit, that took a real turn. Good thing Mrs. P was there, I have no doubt that in a straight fight Martha could take Thomas, but she was understandably rather shocked that her husband started rambling nonsense than tried to kill her right over dinner.
