Many of this leg's tasks in Switzerland were adapted from BvM's visit to Austria while he was scouted the location for this season as part of the original route in late 2019. The Pit Stop in Altstatten was also a scouted location in the Austro-Italian border that BvM also visited there for the part of the original route.

The Travelocity Roaming Gnome task was originally to be part of the leg in Kathmandu, Nepal where BvM scouted the location in late 2019. Kathmandu has many staircases as on the leg in Lugano but there are plenty of religious places like Swayambhunath Buddhist Temple and many Hindu places like Durbar Square.

In TAR Canada, three couples tested positive at the beginning of the 3rd leg.  The two previously eliminated couples came back   Then a couple of legs later, the 3 couples battled and two were allowed back  one of these couples ended up winning…she’s battling terminal brain cancer, so a lot of people were rout8ng for her.
