I found this episode to be much better than the first one. I guess looking back the first oen suffered a lot from Pilot-itis with trying to cram in so much 'character development' and plot points.

The fact this episode focused more on one character than trying to spread the attention around also helped bring focus to the plot. I still think the show was wrong to play its hand with the characters secrets though and this episode showed that. I'm wondering if this show would have been better with 30 minute episodes as they seem to have a lot of padding which takes away from the mystery behind the characters.

With each episode, memories of the book are coming back but nothing concrete until the moment occurs. I totally forgot that SImon was the son of the mayor for example. 

After being a bit worried after the first episode, the one has sold me on the show and I'm officially hooked. And I hope the show brings more attention to the source material and the author. Especially since the the author hasn't disappointed me with any of her books so far.

This episode was great. Loved the twist if who took the laptop and the 4 kind of coming together at the funeral.
