starri August 13, 2021 Share August 13, 2021 Quote The USS Cerritos is dispatched on a mission where it ends up in a sci-fi event resulting in "strange energy," which Commander Ransom inadvertently absorbs. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/121460-s02e01-strange-energies/
vibeology August 13, 2021 Share August 13, 2021 I laughed so hard when T'Ana rolled up with that boulder on a forklift! Everything about God-like Ransom was delightful. Every Star Trek trope plus some really great characterization. Ransom sometimes seems like a mental lightweight so it was great that he had figured out Mariner and the Captain's emotional issues and totally called them on it. Tendi is unhinged. I think she really needs a story away from Rutherford but then I think back to last season and when she did get stories away from him (the ascending guy, Dog) she was still wild. The way her insecurities manifest are frightening. How did she ever make it into Starfleet? 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/121460-s02e01-strange-energies/#findComment-6949346

starri August 14, 2021 Author Share August 14, 2021 The idea of Mariner having a work out program themed around a Cardassian prison break? Totally tracks. 1 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/121460-s02e01-strange-energies/#findComment-6950638
ottoDbusdriver August 14, 2021 Share August 14, 2021 I'm really trying hard to like this show, but the writing is really making it tough to do that. Though that "They keep showing me lights!" line did make me chuckle. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/121460-s02e01-strange-energies/#findComment-6951629
