As the fast-moving ice edge crushes all in its path, Sig and Mandy rush north to rejoin the fray. On the Cornelia Marie, Josh and Casey's race to save their pots comes at a cost in blood and pain. Heavy freezing spray threatens to capsize the Wizard.

CM loses 2 crew members to injury.  Joshie sitting on his butt in the wheelhouse complaining what a nightmare it is and how slow the deck is now with only 3 deck crew.   Gee Josh its not like you have no experience working the deck and could HELP.

They actually decided it was better the guy bleeding internally go out on deck and lead the crew than even pretend the ride along "captain" will lift a finger. WWPD? Roll over in his grave, that's what.

We sure got a heavy dose of Harley the Dick in this one.  Good.  I was worried this season was gonna give him an undeserved rep as a "good citizen" amongst the fleet.

I totally felt for Sig as he lamented that he was stuck in harbor despite his conscientious and expensive maintenance program.  In this case, he did not get what he bargained for.  One thing was very noticeable:  As the hits kept on coming, he did not go berserk.  Not at all.  That's real progress, imo.  Good on him.

The CM getting the call to not continue harvesting where Casey had absolutely nailed the biomass location was not big deal in the scheme of things.  He acted like someone was on death's door.  He haaaad to know there was every chance that he would have to run to the South.  In crabbing terms, this was no tragedy.  Nature gives and nature takes away, eh?
