5,588 steps yesterday.

Moore of the same mostly. I started  going through my bookcases in the "library" but was having a hard time putting books in the donate box so gave up on that for now. Made a nice new cozy shelter for the front porch and tidied up the other ones. Then my friend came over with some pillows she was tossing and a couple wicker laundry baskets that we put in the kitty house for new beds. The cats are skirting them as they smell of other cats for now. I'm sure they'll like them once they get used to them. Then we visited for a while so not so much walking yesterday.

No plans for today except the laundry I didn't get to yesterday, gather the garbage for tomorrow's pickup, and finishing the pricing on items for the crystal lady tomorrow.

Sooooo late to post. The crystal lady was a no show Monday. but showd up at 9AM today. From there the rest of the day was just all out of sync from what I had originally  planned.

6,110 steps yesterday. (Monday)

Sunday was some house cleaning, I have been needing to do, vacuuming the extra bedrooms, along with some of the endless dusting. Living on a dirt road it is a constant activity. I'm sure other tasks will come up in the course of the day.

Busy morning yesterday with the crystal lady. And profitable too, which is probably why I put up with her scattered energy. I didn't plan much else for the day, but as I was searching (all over) for the pegs to put shelves back in some of the short book cases I am going to sell her, I got side tracked going through a little 3 drawer piece of furniture (don't know what to call it) in my storage area/pantry. I had put lots of old kids drawings and photos in there so that took a lot of time to go through. So more sitting than walking yesterday.

6,300 steps yesterday. Not often do I end up with such a nice round number.

I've settled well into this range of steps and feel good, I'm beginning to wonder if it is time to maybe try to up it a little. May try just a little at a time, especially now that the weather is nice outside for walking. Whatever the day brings will be OK for now.

Doing laundry helped in the count. Plus I did a good clean up/sweep out in kitty house too. Today I plan to start a gradual increase in steps with a goal of 7,000/day. Increasing slowly so as not to stress anything too much. Once there, I'll hold for a while and see how I feel, then decide what to do next.

Projects for today include pricing items for the crystal lady on Monday. It gets tedious after a while, so I stop, that is why I end up each weekend scrambling a bit to get enough priced for the next Monday. ...or whenever she shows up next! LOL!

Then I need to do some more raking near the fence line between my neighbor's yard and mine. The leaves are really packed in there so if I get them loosened they can dry and be easier later to rake or the wind can move them out. The grass is just about in need of mowing so I want to get the leaves out of the way. This weekend looks to be a good one for some yard work.

OK, so I hit the new goal yesterday. So far today feel good, no new aches or anything. I'll see how today goes with no plans to push for a repeat, I'll just pay attention and try to walk more than sit. I don't want to feel "driven", I want it to just be natural. One day at a time...

The crystal lady comes in the morning, then garbage up to the road and a quiick PO run to pick up a prescription, that is all I have planned for the day.

Well, that came out of the blue!! As always lots of short walking around when crystal lady comes. One spot to another and back and forth a few times. Then a quick PO and grocery store run. I really didn't think I'd put in so many steps without even realizing it!

In the evening my neighbor across the road came over and started mowing my yard. I had to go out quickly, as last year he mowed down all my day lilies. I walked him around the yard and pointed out where not to mow, so that added to the steps too. He never asks for me to pay, but every couple of times I slip him a $20 to cover gas. It is very sweet of him.

I didn't really do anything particular yesterday, just the normal stuff. I did do a really small laundry to wash the new sheets I got on Amazon. A quick visit from the crystal lady to pick up her order which she paid in full instead of payments which made me happy. I think the fact that it is lighter so much later now, I am walking longer each day because it is light out. Wintertime I settle in the recliner much earlier because it is dark and cold out.

Went into town to deposit crystal lady's check, at PO got my check for my Jury duty, $46 and change for a couple hours of my time (and the added stress of it all). Not bad. Plus I checked the results of the Senate session and the bill that make 75 the cut off for jury duty passed!! Yay! No more jury duty for me!!

I also did a quick run through the grocery store for some fresh fruit and veggies. The rest of the day was just around the house chores and some tiding up in the cat's house.

I did a fair amount of yard work yesterday. Cut down suckers from a tree by the garage and hauled them near the end of my driveway in a pile, then trimmed the fir tree that had begun to hang over my driveway. And finally did some weeding around some of the tiny shoots of day lilies in front on the front deck. I maybe could have done more but my left knee buckled once and I took heed and stopped right away. Walked it out a bit and rested it the rest of the day. Today it feels fine so will work outside again some.

That is all that is on the agenda for today.

More work outside. Trimmed a miniature maple that has grown suckers all around the base. Then I noticed half of the tree was dead, so I left the suckers on that side. This tree appears to be two types of maple grafted together. In the Autumn when the leaves turn, almost exactly 1/2 of the tree remains green and the other half turns bright red. The red side is the side that appears to have died. Hopefully one of the suckers that has grown quite large will take over that part.

Next was cutting out some sort of bush that was growing out from under my front deck. How it started to grow I have no clue but it was coming out of the latticework on the sides so it had to go. Same with some volunteer Aspen trees coming up near the side porch.  I never realized how invasive aspens are! They are coming up all over and I haven't really kept up with cutting them down. They look gorgeous on the mountainsides as they turn gold in the Autumn but not so much in the yard...

Last project was digging up a lilac shoot from an old bush and transplanting it along my fence line to begin to create a shield from neighbor's work trucks. Don't know if it will take, hope so, if not I'll buy a couple plants at a nursery for now and try transplanting again earlier in the season next year before they leaf out.

Good thing I did all the yard work I did the last couple of days as the weather turned last night and now it is rainy and cloudy and not work outside weather.

Today will be a bit of a rest day, probably just as well...
