  1. I really thought I was having a waking nightmare when I saw that. Who in their right mind thought that a mutation from The Island of Dr. Moreau would sell soda? The claymation intestines representation for Xifaxan is equally horrifying. Stop trying to make IBS cute! It's not working!

How about the one for opioid-induced constipation? Really don't think being on opioids or the side-effects of them are any laughing matter. These ad guys need to realize that not everything is just jokes and giggles.

  2. Both parties aren't unhappy with their front running candidates! In the latest, most respected poll out from the Des Moines Register tonight, 83% in Iowa are enthusiastic about Hillary in spite of the never ending deluge of lies about her.

Yeah, I'm okay with Hillary. She's likeable enough...

  3. http://money.cnn.com/2015/11/24/media/hln-albie-hecht-cnn/Albie Hecht, the guy who wanted to turn HLN into the Millennial network, quit a few months ago[/url]

They're ratings seem to have stabilized a little and Robin Meade is somehow pretty popular, so it's not all doom and gloom for HLN.  But the problem to me is that HLN doesn't seem to know what it wants to be.  They want to appeal to Millennials but have crazy auntie Nancy Grace railing against marijuana legalization and Making a Murderer.

I don't get it, they had a good thing going on with the trial coverage and they threw it away for YouTube stars whose shows flopped.

Nancy Grace really sticks out like a sore thumb on this network. It made me kind of sad to read that it gets good ratings amongst the younger demographic. They like this stuff? It's just so lightweight and silly.

  4. I don't normally watch this network, but today it was blaring in my gym locker room, and I caught who I think was Robyn Mead and an entertainment reporter. One of them intro'd a story with "I wonder if this has ever happened before" (a film getting nominated for both an Oscar and a Razzie). Can't they do research on that? We don't watch the news to hear their anchors wonder about matters of fact.

As if that wasn't enough, they played the "news" that Jimmy Fallon apparently does a great Bob Dylan impression. Cool. Great headline news. But then they referred to Dylan as "the Boss." What??

Seriously, what is the point of this network?

It's a very silly network. They're supposedly going for the millennials; the social media generation. I hope its not working. I remember watching this when I was younger back in the 80's and 90's. It wasn't like this at all.

  5. All I have to say is, this woman, her staff and the work they do on this show is a breath of fresh air.

I think Chris Hayes is good too.

But I'd follow Maddow anywhere because quite frankly, I don't think MSNBC is worthy of her anymore.

She works hard to truly uncover the real story like HBO's VICE and Gumble's Real Sports.

She doesn't belong on a network that's pushing the bullshit of a Morning Joe.

Last Word is still sort of okay to me but like everything else on this network its become so politics and Trump -obsessed lately that its getting harder to watch. But, yeah, Maddow is head and shoulders above everybody else at this point.

  6. The problem with just muting instead of changing the channel is that your digital device still records it as watching MSNBC and it adds you into the ratings. The only way that MSNBC could get the message that Trump is poison is if people turned their tv's off en masse and their ratings plummeted (even further).

I beg to differ. Trump is yoooooge because of the mass media coverage he's gotten. Unfortunately, his message has resonated with a lot of the people who tuned in to see/hear him because he was a loud-mouthed well known tv star but if he was an unknown buffoon, nobody would have paid any attention to him in the first place.

Definitely! It's the media that's making this sumbitch. If I was a Kasich or Jeb fan, which I'm not, I'd be pissed.

  7. Oh lucky Joe and Mika.  A dream come true.

A sit down interview with Trump tomorrow morning.

Aren't we blessed to have so many Trump appearances in so many different forums? I never want to hear again how Obama was helped in 2008 by a fawning media.

  8. Sadly, my initial reaction was, "I'm surprised it took this long."  (Of course we don't yet know cause of death, but he cheated death for a long time.)  I saw STP in concert a couple of times; great band.

Yeah, I had a couple of their later albums and even the solo album that he put out back then. I think he and they were majorly under-rated at the time. He was sort of the Rock version of Robert Downey Jr. back in the 90's. Bit of a screw-up. Always thought he might go early and I guess in the end he sort of did. I'm still kind of shocked and saddened. I loved the 90's music scene and he's only a few years older than me. Shit...

  9. Love how so many conservatives have in the past pushed the concept that "We need someone who can run this country like a business!"  And now they think they've got that 'someone' in Trump?   Now, how many bankruptcies has he gone through?

Apart from the bankruptcies, what I knew of Trump while growing up in Jersey for thirty years or so is all the tacky shit he built in Atlantic City. He isn't some Rockefeller or even Perot for that matter. His taste and skills is that of a scumbag.

  10. I don't have a link handy, but apparently some of the extras and non-principal cast members had to sign a contract that specifically allowed "genital-on-genital contact." Sounds like traditional, old-fashioned sin to me.

So,,,they're gonna do porn? This is the future?

  11. So let me get this straight.  Obama just gave an important and great speech to the UN General Assembly and Brian Williams and Chris Mathews are given about two minutes tops to discuss it when they are interrupted to go to a press conference called by Trump to discuss his ideas on taxes.  Trump. We now give Trump live coverage, pulling away from the actual president and the UN.  Well then. I guess the conversion from news network to the Trump Channel is complete.

Seriously, this really pisses me off.

I barely watch anymore because of this shit. I don't think this network knows its core audience at this point. Or cares about it. I don't know what they're going for or want with all this stuff.

  12. This one was really bad.  Why did she think someone murdered her daughter?  There was no one person that they suspected.  It was sad that her daughter died but I really think it was a suicide and the mother could not handle it.

I definitely thought it was suicide. The way the daughter was depicted was in a very depressed manner. I don't know where the mystery was in all this. What are they trying to accomplish with this show? I was getting mad at the mother at the end. Yeah, the cops and the coroners and everybody else are all in it to suppress the truth! What is this; Oliver Stone?! Phoooey!
