There were mentions of a contestant stumbling on a binder with the pre-decided winners of each 'week' in it for the (then) current competition.

There is a past contestant with a sex tape who advanced far beyond what some (including me) thought her talent merited.

Any investigative reporters out there want to look deep into PR?

The sex tape was pretty hardcore. I was actually kind of shocked by it even though I was born in the 70's. Whatever...

Nice?  Wouldn't she have had to be considering how she had to depend on other designers for help?  I didn't find her nice at all on Under the Gunn, or Mondo either for that matter.

Nobody was really nice on "Under the Gunn". That show ruined a few images.

  3. The twins shouldn't have been on this show. Worst gimmick in showbiz. At least they could have been talented, interesting, or personable. No, annoying pretentious assholes. Damn reality TV. And the cliffhangers are so tired. Claire better not win this. That would be final straw time for me. Anya was at least nice. Gretchen and Erin were sort of talented. Narrative storylines my ass!

I haven't watched the Laci Peterson one and don't plan to.  I've caught various parts of the Natalee Holloway programs and while I hope her parents will find out someday the real truth regarding what really happened to their daughter, I think the chances of that are pretty slim to none.  That guy they're monitoring in that room over the course of a few episodes is a real piece of work.

The cable channels rehashing all of this old news plus other stuff is making me rethink my cable subscription but that's a topic for another forum here.

Yeah, what's going on with all this stuff? Extreme 90's nostalgia? These things have been cooked and overcooked for the past 20 years. Enough already.

Well, the highs are really high - and the lows are in the gutter.  And I don't mean the pretty gutter dress that Andre made either.

I don't know names all the way yet, I didn't watch any of the previews or Road to the Runway stuff - but Chacha?  No thanks.  Even the cosplay kids wouldn't go for that.  It wasn't even sci fi kinda cool, like the gold dress that looked like it came out of Forbidden Planet.  No thanks to the twins either, there's just something way way off with their calculated precision.  I did read they'd done some show thing before, and that always makes me wonder a bit, are they just doing anything to chase their dream, or are they reality whores?

I will need to reflect upon this more.  In the words of our wonderful God Of Burnt Sienna Michael Kors - I'm underwhelmed.

Reality whores are aren't for real. That's perfect for this era.

You got it!  All I could think was that I knew his name started with a "G".  Shame on me, but there's just so damn many serial killers it's hard to recall.

Brian Dennehy movie from the 80's that I saw as a teenager. He was very scary effective in it. Probably the reason I remember it.

Trivia quiz for all you true crime lovers -- I've been watching "Cash Cab" every night on the Game Show Network, and one of the questions posed to the riders last night is this (they didn't know the answers & needed a street shout-out):

"Named for an American film icon, what serial murderer of the 1970s was also known as the Killer Clown?"

Damn if I couldn't recall his name, but I could picture him.

Alright everyone - be honest - did you know it?

    John Wayne Gacy?

Fuck you, University of Phoenix for using a Cranberries song in another one of your scamming, annoying ads.  I thought we were past the horror of that "Brain" ad and then they doubled down with "Dreams."  Someone, please make it stop.

Damn, I like that song too.

Wow, I always liked him. I'm old enough to remember what I think was his breakout role as Jim Jones in the People's Temple movie back in '79 or '80 (I Think, it was a long time ago !) He really channeled Jones in that, it was kind of scary. Also just re-watched Frailty when they put it on Netflix recently. Great movie.

68 isn't really that old these days. Did he have cancer or something that we didn't know about ?

It's like Steve Railsback. All I remember from him is playing a great Charles Manson in "Helter Skelter".

Until today I've always had respect for Phil Mudd. But after Dana Bash and Briana Keilor reported on Situation Room today that lawmakers on both sides are trying to sort out the Flynn story, Phil Mudd's take?  In a year or two no one will care about any if this except that trump acted swiftly and did the right thing.

    I really am surprised.

They really are trying to bend over backwards to normalize this era.

No. The Zevon Estate sold the marketing rights to a very aggressive company. They're placing their music whereever they can. "I saw a Werewolf eating a bowl of Raisin Bran at IHOP and his hair was perfect..."  Hey! Ol' Warren's making more money off that song now that he's dead than he did while he was alive.

Have they used "Lawyers Guns and Money" for any law firms yet?
