  1. Does anyone remember an episode from years ago about the JonBenet Ramsey murder? I vividly remember a cop/detective who worked on the case saying that she knew who did it and it was someone in that house that night, but that she would not say who it was because she felt that she was disrespected during the investigation. Does anyone remember this??? Or am I crazy, because I can't find the episode online!
  2. I apologize if this is the wrong thread for this, but I just had to say that, out of all reality personalities, I find the ones from the Bachelor/Bachelorette the most insufferable. Given that we have the Jersey Shore kids and the Housewives, I think that says something about how much I dislike them. I think it may be because the show is so disingenuous and contrived and that carries over after the show. And, for some reason, they all comes across as so desperate for money and attention and they treat their participation in the show as some badge of honor (with all their reunions). Ick.
  3. Stephen Dillane (Stannis) is in one of my favorite movies ever--Spy Game (don't laugh). He plays an antagonist, but boy do I find him ever so sexy. He is just so good.
  4. I was a fan of Jack and Kate, but the triangle was a mess both on and off the show. It detracted from other, better story lines and also derailed most online conversations. Even though the show ending with Jack and Kate made sense to me, I still cannot believe the show runners dragged the triangle until the very last episode. If Kate loved Jack, then why was she upset to see Sawyer and Juliet together? If Sawyer loved Juliet, why did he look at Kate in that pivotal moment? The fact that the showrunners wanted to pander to both sets of fans created inconsistencies and watered all relationships involved.
  5. Thank goodness for this thread. Whenever an article about the Lost finale springs up, the comments section inevitably fills with fans who decry those who criticized the show as not understanding the ending or having not paid attention to the answers. While I still think there are some questions that were left unanswered, my biggest gripe with the ending was that the answers it did provide were unsatisfactory and/or were inconsistent with what came before. I'll list my biggest ones here: 1. THE OTHERS. If I were to give an "award" for most disappointing--and inconsistent--storyline, it would be to the Others. They started off so intriguing. Native island dwellers who seemingly were supernatural and who would play a big role in the show's conclusion. Boy, was that impression wrong. Not only did the Others become less and less menacing, they also became less and less important to the story. I still don't understand what their purpose on the island was, why they bothered the losties, why one of them couldn't be the new Jacob, etc. And please don't get me started on the Temple Others-ugh, ugh, ugh. 2. Sayid's whole storyline in the last season, as mentioned above. 3. Claire's whole storyline in the last season. 4.The Smoke Monster and Jacob. The whole "why" of the show was one huge mess. Not only did it not make sense, but it was also cliched as fuck.
  6. Was it just me, or did Jon appear oddly calm during some of the fighting? Too calm, for my liking.
  7. I'm really sad about Jon's friends' deaths. Like really sad. For some reason, I grow really attached to tertiary characters and, sometimes, would rather have a main character die than one of them. Most of the love stories on GoT bore me. I just don't find them pointless and not executed well. Sam and Gilly's love story is the wooooooorst. But all in all, an exciting episode!
  8. I'm still thinking about this episode hours later. I just... Th Starks, as a family, became a non-factor a while ago, but I still want them to win, dammit! And I want them to reunite and be happy and rebuild Winterfell (which will never happen). But it just makes me so sad and wistful to see the Starks separated and each chance at their reunion frustrated, while the heinous people in this world keep moving forward. I understand that GRRM is trying to subvert the fairytale trope, but it makes me less invested in the show. So, I just hope that Sansa is indeed playing Littlefinger and will not become a willing participant in his schemes. As for Missendei and Grey Worm--yawn. I'm completely uninterested in a romance between the two of them and, to be honest, it feels out of place.
  9. I actually hope that's true! I hope this is a way for her to lure Littlefinger in and bring him down, and not because she actually cares for him or trusts him. *shivers*
  10. What the everloving fuck! I honestly did not see that coming at all. Oberyn (and the actor) just struck me as someone who would stick around for a while. Damn. He was fine too. And, this is most definitely an unpopular opinion, but I'm annoyed that there will likely be some twist which saves Tyrion. It's obvious that he won't be killed (this is not a spoiler at all, just based on his status and importance to the story) and I would have much rather it have been because Oberyn won. I can't watch Sansa/Littlefinger scenes. It honestly makes me sick. He is such a predator. And I honestly don't know what Sansa is thinking. Has she developed a crush or something? Can someone please clue her into his role in his father's death? She must know that he is not a good man. If Arya and Sansa don't see each other, I will scream. BTW: I was meandthemoon on TWoP, just in case.
