  1. I am sorta watching. I am having to help my husband who has a really bad hip get ready for bed. Also we had our grandson over and I am still cleaning up. I still want a “slap” button on the remote.

  2. It cracked me up when they showed Robyn and Kody’s wedding reception as a happy time. All I could think was that they were happy because they were going to have a tv show. I could almost see the $ signs in their eyes.   I do think Savannah was sincerely happy because she was excited to have Breanna join the family as it gave her someone her age.

And planning to get married on meri’s birthday.

I found that appalling. It made me realize Kody had a mean streak. And I already had zero respect for Janelle for “marrying” her ex-SIL’s husband. Didn’t she ever read the commandments about coveting?

When Kody refers to the children by the mother's name: "Christine's children, Janelle's children", not as the collective "our children." It is not so hard to imagine children are allocated time and resources by him based on how he feels about a child's mother at the time.

The Robynettes seem to be most favored

The mis-matched cabinet doors and the door extending beyond the microwave would disturb my Libra sense of balance.

I am just a sleepy Scorpio but I cannot make sense of the cabinets. I need to see a picture of the other side of the stove and microwave. Is there another random long thin cabinet door on the other side.
I think one of the best features of the house we just sold—other than location—was the numerous wooden cabinets in our large kitchen. The buyer was excited about them. These cabinets confuse me.

  6. I missed a bunch of the middle seasons, but I caught up with them.  Last night I re-watched season 7 episode 7 where they went to Missouri to visit Nathan Ricard and his 2 wives; the wives have left him. I could not find the thread for it here.  The epi before it is something about wives in an rv and shows up as season 5 ep 6 if I recall correctly—I was a tad sleepy. Anyway, his two wives have been in the news because they left. I doubt they would have had a mention had not Janelle and Christine’s split been all over social media.
I did wonder if his second wife was ever able to have children. The three all shared a bedroom which creeped me out.
christine seemed to get along with the daughter Abigail; I wonder if they kept in touch. Abigail would probably be around 20.   The dad also had the kids line up like the von  Trapp children in the Sound of Music.

  7. In the story about the Rice Krispie anniversary and the possibility of Meri and Kody kissing all I could think of was mykelti’s expression when Kody explained the hormonal exchange in a kiss.   Kody will never want Meri’s hormones again.  Ew!! Can’t believe I wrote this.
not sure if safecis a time out word. I think something is not safe if it hurts their feelings or embarrassed them and “triggers” them.

So, we only have two weeks of this left. I’m a sucker for these train wreck TLC shows. Anybody know if we’re getting more Plathville during the SW off-season?

I don’t know, but I cannot stand the parents on that show!! Not watching it again.
    I think Kody is mental.

Boy it is all about Robin—she is such a narcissist. Do Christine should stay for Robyn?

    why is Robyn getting softballs?

I was watching some sisterwife stuff on Youtube yesterday and someone suggested that part of the reason Kody might have divorced Meri and married Robyn was that it would improve his credit and ability to secure loans to finance stuff.

Supposedly divorcing Meri would distance him from the bankruptcy he filed with her and marrying Robyn would help him even more because she had never been bankrupt.  I don't know how legit this theory is - Robyn had a 32 K of debt in her name that was probably in collections, so... ?  Anyway, that was someone's theory.  There are people here who know a lot more about that kind of thing than I do, so I am interested in what they think of this idea.

Just FYI in Robyn's divorce, she got the vaccuum cleaner and the VCR.  David got their RV.  Most of Robyn's debt was for credit cards - Target, Sears, and about one thousand dollars to Victoria's Secret.

That seems like a lot to spend on "pajamas" but my legs are normal length, so ... maybe they charge more for "tall."

Well, Robyn could provide him with at least two more dependents.  I think Leon was probably still a dependent at the time, but they had only a few more years before Leon would no longer qualify.
as far as long legs— I am 5’4” with a short waist and long legs that are the same length as my husband’s and he is 5’10”.  I always buy separates because I need petite tops. I just bought a pair of flannel pjs—definitely not VS —-and the legs are a perfect fit, but the top looks like a shirt dress on me 😂

The good thing about mountains is that you can see them from more than just one parcel of land.

I think it will be hilarious if the wives who leave end up slimmer and glowing than the wives who stay. Because looking at those early series shots of the family, Christine and Janelle are definitely on the upswing. (And Pilates does help a lot mentally as well as physically)

Yes, there are other places with a Mountain View. I actually preferred the other location they considered but I don’t recall the view.  I think it was called Cottonwood??

maybe Janelle can get enough money to build at another location. I am jealous of that view of the night sky.

From my upbringing and perspective,, I can't fathom why Meri would stay, or why the others wouldn't leave.

With the exception of Janelle, the wives seem to repeat the examples of their moms. Total speculation here- just my opinion.

Bonnie was the 1st wife. She stayed thru 4 other wives while the family grew. She stayed with Barber after the other wives left.

Janelle and her mom left the Lds for this polygamous religion.  Janelle left her first husband—Meri’s brother—-because he wanted to become LDS.  POLYGAMY was a decision on her part and I think it was hard for her to admit the decision she made was wrong especially since her mom stayed in it until death.  Also not having grown up in it, she probably understood it less than the others so maybe she was more comfortable as a buddy because she thought that was the role of a second wife.

As for Meri, the polygamous life began when she was about six years old. I think her mom was a true believer and pressured Meri to stick with Kody. She may have sold Meri on the idea that Kody would tire of Robyn and run back to Meri. I think having been the original wife, Meri wants a chance to reprise that role despite the fact that the chance of that happening is zero.

or not.  Just my theory and I am sticking to it for at least today.
