After all the crappy Lifetime movies so far, Wrapped up in Christmas was so much better after the rewatch. The chemistry was great and the storyline was not boring. When did Lifetime lose IT? And what is up with them having so many movies revolve around Christmas in the south? Christmas in the Bayou, Tennessee and Louisiana. Are they all a similar theme because I’ve refused to watch any of them.

That Christmas Princess movie looks really cute- what channel is it going to play on?

The Christmas Princess will air on ION on Dec 1

😁😁😁😁😁I feel like I just watched the trailer of an Alyssa Cole novel. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

It was a cute trailer. I read Truly Madly Royally earlier this year which is a YA prince story with a black girl lead so it was reminding me of that too.

I do live in Bethlehem, and though I affectionately call it the biggest small town in America, with a population of 75,000 it’s not exactly the little village the movie portrays.  I took the most umbrage at the liberties they took with the town’s founding story, though.  We were indeed founded on Christmas Eve, but in 1741, not 1896, and the Moravian settlers weren’t so much missionaries as they were seeking religious freedom.  I mean, ok, some artistic license is fine, but unless that date becomes important to the plot later on...c’moooooon.

oh, jeeze, it’s still on, and the dude just told the story of how he came to live in Bethlehem (or “Bethleham” as Rudy keeps saying, grrrr).  His car broke down outside of Harrisburg, and he discovered this quaint little town...which in real-life geography is an hour and a half away.  My head is going to explode.

Yes i freaked out when they tried to say it was outside of Harisburg cuz being from PA and having visited both cities I knew that was a lie.

  4. Watching Radio Christmas on Lifetime. I never lived in Bethlehem, PA though I went to college with people who did and I did visit there. It's a long commute to Philly but doable if she really wanted to go there. It would never be that sunny during the holidays in Bethlehem.  Also it's not that small of a town.  It's one of the 10 largest cities in the state.

An interesting experiment, but didn’t really work.  And oddly enough, I think playing the animated movie probably did more to take the wind out of the sails of the upcoming Live Action than just doing the full stage show.

I don’t know why they didn’t do more speaking scenes live.  They had a Grimsby in Fathoms Below!  Why not keep him and do more of his scenes with Eric and Ariel? And actually cast Triton and show him onstage worrying about Ariel and regretting everything.

I know dialogue has often been a weakness in these events, but then they should just keep choosing sung-through musicals like JCS.

We won't even see the live action movie until at least 2021 so I don't feel like this horrible special had any effect on it.  By the time the movie hits theaters this will have been forgotten.

It's weird. I guess they didn't want to do the full Broadway musical so as not to steal the upcoming movie's thunder?

This has been in the works for 2 years. They could've done the live show. The movie isn't even filming until next year. Probably won't see that until 2021. There's no thunder to steal.

I'd kill for a Live version of the Broadway show.  Screw the remakes.

And are they editing parts of the movie?

I feel like they're editing parts of the movie. Plus this is the remastered version of the movie. It makes me want to go bring out my VHS of the 10th anniversary edition.
