  1. I agree wholeheartedly with this entire post. I've never been a shipper of any of Sookie's romantic entanglements and have always wished the show didn't center around it. Anyway, you said everything I wanted to say only better.
  2. Of course I loved this episode what with all the Eric/Pam interaction. It just proves to me that an Eric/Pam prequel would be awesome. I really hope there's a cure in sight and the dynamic duo can continue in perpetuity. I liked almost everything about this episode and it's the only one I've saved to rewatch. I didn't like the 2 seconds of Violet that I saw and think it's a shame one of the Hep V vamps didn't stake her. And I loved the Ginger flashbacks. Looks like poor Ginger used to have some brains before they glamour fried them.
  3. I'm wondering how long the Terminus situation is going to take to reach a resolution. Season long or the first half of the season devoted to Terminus and the second half dedicated to......what? I honestly hadn't even entertained the idea of some of them going to DC until it was mentioned here and now I'm worried. Somewhere in the back of my mind I've suspected that Eugene invented this story to offer him some protection in the ZA. He's certainly ill prepared to survive without lots of help. I love my core group and want them back together. I'm still mourning the loss of T dog and Hershel. Oh, totally unrelated to the topic of speculation but my son was changing planes in Chicago (I think) and who should be there but Scott Wilson, ponytail and all. He was very nice and posed with my son for a really cool picture.
  4. Yes to Zombie Apocalypse Now! The Horror! The Horror! Ugh, I don't want them to split up. I love my core group and their interactions. Wait, maybe Carl and his Hat could go to Washington. Yeh, that's the ticket. Anyway, seriously, I rewatched the last couple episodes last night and I'm excited again about the show. I'm curious as to how they get out of this mess and hoping to see some genuine badassery. And I'm skeptical about Eugene (I think that's his name) being some super smart guy with all the answers. I see him as a random nerd who's been locked up in the basement for too long playing World of Warcraft.
  5. I don't care that Alcide got killed. He was only supposed to be a supporting character but maybe because he was nice to look at they kept him around. True Blood's problems began years ago when they gave the supporting cast main plotlines and took the focus off the main characters, which is a problem that's still plaguing them even in their final season. Alan Ball created this monster but I had really hoped they would do as promised and return the focus on our leads. Also, I've also suspected that the show runners hated that fans loved Eric more than Bill and have often wondered if this is why he's been neutered somewhat. He used to be the badass you would expect a 1000 year old vampire to be and I so looked forward to his exchanges with Pam, which is what's kept me watching. I was hoping to see a return to that and instead I get to see Eric moping around in France and weakened with Hep V. I know they (showrunners) gave up on this show a while back and seemed to just throw shit on the wall to see what would stick while they waited for their 7 year contract to be up but I had really hoped they would reward us fans who kept watching through the Billith and Ifrit shit with a satisfying final season. I feel kind of betrayed at the lack of effort and imagination. I watch TWD also and rewatched the last few episodes last night. I've been critical of their writing but it seemed positively Shakespearean when compared to the nonsense and chaos that defines this final season.
  6. After last season I decided I had enough and wasn't going to watch season 4 but my DVR had other plans. I almost deleted the episode without watching but decided WTH, I'll give it a go. I just watched and was thinking WTF did I just watch and thought I would come here to see if I could make sense of it. I don't know where to begin. Yes, I do. The rapidly maturing child with God-like powers has already worn out it's welcome and this in the first episode. I thought at first Ben had gotten hit in the head and was in a coma and dreaming but no, it's really happening. I like this Tom Mason a lot better than President Mason and I am curious to see what happens there. I'm just confused. Maybe I need to rewatch the episode because there's obviously something I missed. Or maybe I'm just shocked that it's such a departure from the direction the show seemed to be taking.
  7. All I could think about while watching tonight was how everyone seems to have forgotten that all of this was caused by Bill. I'm smelling revisionist writing and it smells pretty bad. I don't really think Tara is dead because I thought I saw her in some different scenes in the pre season trailers. If she is, that's pretty inconsistent writing since Pam would have felt it immediately. My favorite relationship is Eric and Pam. I would definitely watch a spinoff of their escapades but that would never happen because the show runners seem to just love Bill and Sookie, who I've never liked from the beginning. I don't know.......I just expected more from the premiere of the final season. Oh, and I hate Violet.
