  1. Take out the LGBT factor, and just by biology, Callie already has the upper hand in court. It does suck. A lot. Especially for a show that has for so long prioritized family you choose over biological family. And I have no trust in these writers to handle it well. No matter what it is. Call me cynical.
  2. The LGBT community has been so gut punched by TV shows lately that it's easy to assume the lesbian non-biological parent will get screwed over no matter what.
  3. If Arizona is looking into her legal visitation options, I could see Callie being quite offended since co parenting is the one thing (we assume) they have down pat. From those episode 21 (I think) promo pics, it looks like Penny is on Arizona's service. She could unknowingly exacerbate the problem that leads to this seeming court "battle" in 22.
  4. It all just seems like one giant misunderstanding based on Callie and Arizona once again talking to each other, but not actually listening. Arizona makes a decision, Callie makes a decision based on Arizona's decision, which causes Callie to make a decision based on that next Arizona decision, and around and around it goes. And then they'll go to court where *gasp* they have to listen to each other.
  5. LOL at saying she wanted to make things lighter this season. Nothing says light like bringing back the doctor who "killed" Derek, having Meredith attacked, Ben and Bailey at odds, Callie and Arizona about to be at odds, Jo and Alex at odds over the proposal, Amelia and Owen's never ending torture cycle. "Light"
  6. I read a thing about Washington's custody laws that said that the parent who gets the most time with the child has the right to move as long as they give 60 days notice, and then the other parent has 30 days to file an objection. If that happens, it's up to a judge to decide what is in the child's best interests.I don't know if that would apply, but I'm guessing that as the biological parent in a seemingly stable relationship, Callie would be "winning" in that instance.
  7. The show barely acknowledges that they're parents. Lol. But, no, all we have is that S8 "we'll get you a piece of paper" conversation. Which the show may forget ever happened.
  8. I actually wonder if the purpose is to clue Penny in to the Callie/Arizona dynamic. She just knows them as fleetingly friendly exes and not their baggage. It would be quite eye opening for her.
  9. I have a feeling 12x22 may be an Arizona info dump episode the way that Callie centric court episode was. Shonda kept harping on how private Arizona is, so what better way to force her into info dump talking than having her talk under oath while fighting for her kid?
  10. If it's custody, it seems really dumb to have not had something in place already, especially since Mark died and particularly after the breakup. Like, some sort of custody should just hinge on Callie's goodwill as the biological parent? Is that what Shonda's party line is gonna be to explain that? I just don't see why it would bother Callie, unless they would have Arizona fight for full custody (and obviously lose) just for drama's sake. Who am I kidding, of course Shonda would do that for drama's sake, and get pats on the back from GLAAD and the like.
  11. Shonda specifically pointing out on twitter that Callie said "Thank you" to Penny's "I love you" raised eyebrows for people. Because she only usually tweets during Scandal. LOL C/A's breakup was largely based out of assumptions as opposed to actual truths, so I think court could be what brings out the truths about their relationship and breakup. Do I think that will make them less afraid to try again? Nope. Depends on their roles in the final 2 episodes, and if there'll be another time jump, and on and on. I've seen speculation that there's a time jump, Callie goes away with Penny, but comes back to Arizona having a baby of her own. Totally baseless fanfic-y speculation, but C/A fans seem to just be thrilled to be able to speculate about anything.
  12. Seems like in a way they're paralleling that weird Callie centric retcon episode, but we would get to hear Arizona's side of things. Like, they'll finally remember she had a miscarriage and such. *optimistic Arizona fan* It's so interesting to me that with so much shit hitting the fan PR wise for so many other shows with LGBT representation that ABC is getting to dangle C/A out there for May sweeps. I know that it's all planned and written ahead of time, but it's really convenient.
  13. I was being sarcastic, because of the predictability of Penny winning the grant. I should've finished with "Lol." Sorry, forget how things come across in print.
  14. They're paralleling Callie and Arizona's S7 arc for some dumb reason. Arizona wins a grant she applied for years ago, Callie is bothered by it. Penny wins a grant she applied for 5 seconds ago, Callie is bothered by it, but will choose to go with Penny anyways for the hell of it. Cue season finale time jump, Callie comes back and Arizona slams the door in her face. And cliffhanger. Otherwise, copying the storyline is dumb as hell.
  15. There was an episode in early S8 where something happened at the hospital that made Arizona freak out about not having parental rights, can't remember what it was, but Callie was shown kind of blowing it off as Arizona having a moment because of a bad day at work and not taking it super seriously. Though, she finally did say "we'll get you that piece of paper." Who knows if it actually happened, or if they just forgot. Which is very possible. But then in S10, there was that moment where Callie just took off with Sofia and Arizona found out about it from Meredith. So, I'm not 100% sure if there were any legal ties. You'd think there would've been after Mark died, but, no idea. Washington has "third parent" adoption laws, so perhaps they did that before Mark died?
  16. This guy is working with Sarah, Justin and Jessica: https://m.facebook.com/smendel/posts/10153681354798250 Sarah posted a pic of her and Justin in the OR, so not sure where Jessica fits into the equation. Also, there's this tweet from Ellen: https://twitter.com/EllenPompeo/status/715682638778896388 Literally only thing I can think of is him being a recast of The Colonel. No idea.
  17. 2.2 and 7.8 million in overnights. http://www.spoilertv.com/2016/04/ratings-news-1st-april-2016.html Hmm. Not sure why it's not linking. Oops. Fixed it. Sorry.
  18. I think I may have been combining more than one missing kid storyline. Because both talked about sound familiar now. Lol.
  19. Didn't they do a "missing kid in the hospital" a couple seasons ago? Bailey thought it was Tuck and was freaking the whole time?
  20. It's really just speculation based on the girl who plays Sofia being listed in the guest cast for 19.
  21. The only speculation I've seen that makes any sense to me is that Arizona doesn't find out about Sofia being hurt next episode until after the fact, so she goes and files for legal recognition. But would that happen 3 episodes later?
  22. What relationship with Callie? This past episode was the first time they've been in a scene alone together in a season and a half.
  23. Wasn't it initially reported that there was going to be 25 episodes this season? Did I dream that?
  24. Ended up adjusting up in the finals. 2.1 and 7.9 million. tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2016/03/25/thursday-final-ratings-march-24-2016/
  25. For the folks who are curious about the filming schedule, there was no table read for 12x21 because filming for 20 ran over. 12x22 table read was today.
