  1. Just for clarification, Josh is not at rehab or a mental health facility. From a legal perspective, Josh is just living in a new house with a bunch of roommates. And I do not believe for one second that Josh would not get an immediate tongue thrashing from Boob whenever another scandal emerges.
  2. I mean I know that we know that Joshie-poo is completely under his father's control, but the law does not care about those things and Josh and only Josh would have been served with the suit, whether he was in adult Jesus camp or not. He knew,
  3. Yeah that is the thing. A person accused of something they did not do will immediately and reliably deny it. I personally think that Josh was up to some very shady shit when they lived in DC. I think he was going to strip clubs, drinking, maybe even sleeping with hookers. What I wonder now is if it was only recently that Josh looked at all his records and realized that he was not in PA that night. However, he could not reliably deny it any of this at first because he had been up to enough naughty escapades that he really was not sure that this didn't happen when the woman said. Or maybe it just took the Duggars this long to falsify all the records and alibi statements.
  4. The Duggars are too stupid to realize it, but they would be better off settling with this woman for like $100k and then publicly saying that Josh is paying the price for his wrong-doing. Such a move would start to repair their brand and their relationship with the public.
  5. This might sound crazy, but I thought that Josh may be lying about being unfaithful in the sense that he never got any pussy from Ashley Madison or any of the other dating sites he was on. I think that Josh would rather publicly say he was unfaithful than admit that he struck out time and time again, year after year on those sites. It seems stupid but I really believe that if Josh's life was falling apart anyway he might as well have all the men out there think he is a stud.
  6. I am pretty sure that first response was a 12(b)(6) motion to dismiss. Under this motion, the defendant alleges that plaintiff has failed to state a claim upon which relief can be granted. It has been a long since I learned about this and I do not do any litigation, but the way I remember it is that such a motion assumes that everything in the claim is true, and says "okay even if this is all true (for the sake of argument), it still does not state an actual claim". However, what surprises me is that Josh has not simply publicly denied it if he never even met this woman. Personally I believe Josh paid this woman for sex and that he was perhaps a tad too aggressive in bed but I do not think he beat her or anything.
  7. He says he has an alibi. I bet his "alibi" is Anna saying he was with her all during that time. BTW, if he really had not done this then he would have denied it immediately. The fact that he is only denying it months later after hiring a lawyer tells me that she is (mostly) telling the truth. At the very least he paid her for sex. The other reason I think she is telling the truth is this: she has gotten a lot of flak for saying he was violent with her and then admitting that she had sex with him again after that. If she was lying about having sex with him, then why make herself look stupid and say she did it again after he abused her?
  8. She isn't. She'll double down and pop out at least ten more kids. Then when Josh is 40 and hitting mid-life crisis levels of needing his "freedom", she will be way more fucked. The show and media interest in the Duggars will be long gone by then too. I too think that Josh can only really "behave" himself if he is right under Boob's nose. I bet Josh was into porn and strippers in Arkansas, but it was when he was on his own in DC that he upgraded to hookers. To a certain extent I believe that being a cheater is just a part of some people's nature and that there is not much treatment for them. I do not mean all people who cheat, I just mean people like Josh who clearly had no intention of being faithful from their wedding day on and who are unrepentant about it. They're also compulsive about seeking sex outside their marriage. It's not like they ran into their ex at a convention and that was the ex they still had feelings about - I am talking about an overriding need to seek out sex with perfect strangers (hookers) and engaging in a style of sex they cannot get at home. To me, it is similar to asking a gay man to marry a woman and not seek out sex from other men. The only "cure" is to set them free from the marriage and let them be openly gay. I am certainly not excusing Josh and I think he is a total asshole, but I just do not think that there is any amount of therapy or praying that will change him. How many sexual partners we want and need is something that goes much deeper than our character or religious beliefs. The travesty is that while Josh did not have the ability to understand and express this very well before his marriage, he clearly knew that the Gothard lifestyle was absolutely not for him. He knew he would not be content with one woman having baby after baby. I wish that from now on that the Duggars would listen to their children a little better instead of bullying them into a marriage they neither want nor need.
  9. Oh I think Josh would dump her in a heartbeat if he could. He got a taste of what life could be like for a single guy and no doubt he yearns for that life like nothing else. But I do not think that Josh could realistically give up the support of his family, and he would lose it if he dumped Anna. Josh has no education or real job skills. All his "success" in life flows directly from his family to him. Besides the hooker sex, Josh has no independent life outside his father. The guy is completely dependent on his family for everything. Had he a good job independent of Boob, then sure, he would dump Anna. I mean can this guy even crash on a friend's couch? Like does he even have one male friend outside the family or the church? I don't think so.
  10. I don't think Josh will ever dump her. He is extremely infantile when it comes to his relationship with his parents and he won't want to go through the punishment that would come with leaving his wife. Josh will just resent her and his 10 + children more and more and get better at hiding his infidelities.
  11. That is extremely rare and almost never happens. Most people fight it and so it is almost always something short term until the other person can get back on their feet. But again, Anna won't leave Josh and even if she were to, he hasn't had a job in months and has no money. I think most women these days can deal with a life without their husband if it came down to it. They probably at least had a roommate situation or lived alone for a time before getting married. I don't think Anna can even come close to imagining a life as a single woman - it's just so far removed from her understanding of reality.
  12. It depends on a lot of factors. Often assets are divided at divorce, but in the case where say the wife never worked and stayed home for twenty years, the court might order spousal support for a period of time until she gets on her feet. It is generally not more than a few years. Basically the policy is that a spouse should not become a welfare case because she gave up her career and ability to earn money in order to raise kids and take care of the household. It is not common for spousal support to go on long term though. I do not think Anna would be paying it to Josh since she never earned money during their actual marriage and he is the one with the "job skills". But alas, Anna will never leave the Duggars and will just become Martyr Junior alongside Michelle.
  13. You do the book, you do interviews, you give speeches....there are a lot of ways for Anna to make a decent living off of all of this. One other thing. Assuming Anna was careful and everything in her book was true (or 99% of it), then I do not think the Duggars would have the balls to sue her. It is only libel if it is false, so the Duggars would be relentlessly deposed by Anna's lawyers. Lying in a deposition is perjury, a crime which could potentially land them in jail. If my memory serves correctly, the Duggars were not bold liars the other times they have been deposed. Also, Anna looks like the victim of the Duggars right now, so suing her would make them look doubly bad. If I were Anna, I would take that small risk. After all, if it true, then it would be hard for the Duggars to win a lawsuit against her.
  14. What I mean is that she has something of value to exchange for lots of money - her story. She has the agency to make a million dollars right now if she so chooses. I do not have that kind of agency right now, do you? Probably not. Anna is in the absolute smallest minority of people on the world who have that option. As the reality currently stands, Anna, a person with no education and limited brain power could set her and her children up for life if she opted to. She is too brainwashed and stupid to actually do it, but she has the ability to earn the kind of money it takes most of us a lifetime to earn.
  15. Anna could make a fortune on a tell-all book about the Duggars. The thing is that she still believes in her religion so she won't do that. Anna has more agency to make a ton of money than 99.99% of the women in the world (and that is absolutely not an exaggeration).
  16. Yeah that is the thing. What he did only "ruined" his life because he got caught. Since youth he has shown that he feels entitled to do what he likes with females. They're mainly using that place as you say, to keep him out of the spotlight until this all simmers down a bit. My guess is that this is all making Josh's misogyny problems even worse. Now he is being punished for wanting sex and one part of the punishment is being denied sex for six months. Then to further his punishment, he will have to spend even more time being good and not going out to strip clubs or visiting hookers. This guy must be so sexually unhealthy right now. I actually hope the douche gets some real therapy from an atheist.
  17. It doesn't mean anything. Bikers don't have any rights - they're just people using a certain mode of transportation. Anyway back to Josh. Yes he loves pussy but hates women. I know a lot of people argue that porn is harmless, but I think for a guy like Josh, his excessive consumption of porn has been extremely harmful. It completely reinforced what he already thought about women, and there is a lot of porn out there that combines physical abuse of women with the sex. If this guy could have remained unmarried, and had casual, protected sex with whomever he pleased, then so much of his issues would not have had such tragic consequences. I hope that at least a few fundie parents will see where this all went wrong: Josh was screaming to his parents who he really was and what he really wanted, and they completely dismissed his own wants and needs and pressured him into a life that was just not for him. Oh yeah and the idea of him holding Anna in contempt reminded me of a couple of things. First of all, a habitual liar always holds the person they are lying to in contempt. But also it made me think of men who claim they "put women on a pedestal" and then are shocked that every woman they date dumps them and goes out with an "asshole". It is the same concept with the super subservient wife: both kinds of people are proclaiming that they have no value. Similar to economic principles, people don't want goods with no value and they also do not want mates with no value. Anna's actions have just screamed "no value" to Josh, despite people telling her she has great value to him as a baby machine. It's an interesting phenomenon really - by being everything to Josh she has made herself nothing to him.
  18. The more I think about Josh, the more I think that this woman is probably telling the truth, or is very close to telling the truth. Based upon the way that Josh treats his sisters and his wife, I can only assume that he absolutely hates women. He finally had one he "owned" for that night whom he could take out some of his rage on.
  19. Mine too (just a little). To me these are the kinds of lawyers who try and appeal to clients who really know nothing at all about what is going on with their case. They are advertising to the least sophisticated client out there. I mean everyone here gets that bikers cannot possibly be a protected class or that getting on a Harley does not magically give you special rights, yet this man is not above pretending like it does in order to get clients. (Personally I think it's unethical). I could just see this guy now, very easily convincing Josh and Jim Bob of his legal prowess without them having a clue as to whether or not he actually knows what he is talking about.
  20. There is no such thing as "biker's rights". Josh is so super fucked.
  21. I'm a lawyer, and I hate it when lawyers have photos like this on their website. Our professional already has an image problem and photos of you looking "bad ass" and "cool" on your homepage is unprofessional and cheapens the whole profession. A truly great lawyer's work speaks for itself and he doesn't need photos like this to attract potential clients. Josh is screwed.
  22. I think Renee is annoying for one reason only: she announced to everyone that she was sassy when she introduced herself. It's fine to be sassy, but it's another thing to tell be that when you are introducing yourself. It's pretentious and if you're truly sassy, then you should not have to tell everyone; they'll figure it out in due course. Also "sassy" is to me one of those traits that exists more in theory than in real life. It's like the personality equivalent of food being described as "zesty" by the advertising sluts. No one in reality talks about food that way, and similarly in reality people are rarely thought of as being sassy. So announcing it to everyone just comes across as insincere and obnoxious. Obviously Renee gets a lot of negative reactions to this, which is why she decided it's because everyone is jealous of her happy life. And actually since she feels the need to announce how great she and her life is to complete strangers, I am thinking this is case of me thinks the lady doth protest too much.
  23. There was not a whole lot of imagination on the vegan team. Everyone except Kimmy (?) made a side dish. They could have made a really interesting four course meal like team Persia. Also, not to beat a dead horse but to the person who was upset that they called it Persian instead of Iranian: I lived near that area of LA for years, and believe you me, no one says Iranian and everyone says Persian.
  24. I do not think that Grayson understands this show. The idea is not really to make good meatballs and sauce or a good salad, but rather to make something unique and new that the judges have not tasted before. To me, good meatballs and tomato sauce is just a really good comfort food meal; it's not something a top chef would produce as part of a competition. Someone said on the other thread that Grayson clearly no longer wants to grow as a chef and that is exactly how I see it too. And Manbun is not nearly as hot, cool or talented as he thinks he is. If your wife is a model and an actress, then how come I have never heard of her? Oh right.... BTW brah, you are clearly not going to make to even the final 6. I can already tell.
