  1. My husband's dad used to be a forester in the Okefenokee swamp before he went to work for Goodyear. We went there a few years ago, and the swamp tour was done in a boat no higher off the water than a rowboat. If the alligators had come after us, we were like sitting ducks, and it would have been bye bye.

I have a couple of old wood office chairs (also from Tufts, they never threw anything away!). A swivel desk chair and a guest chair, both really old and nice, I wouldn't touch them with paint. Ditto old school desks, I have three, and wouldn't dream of painting them. The conference room chairs are old but I don't think they're super great quality. And the existing finish, after washing, is a disappointing orange-y brown color. I think a coat or two of no bleed primer and some bright white paint would look cute in my kitchen, which is painted white and robins egg blue. I could paint my table too, I bought it at Pier One 30 odd years ago, the wood doesn't match the chairs, so painting everything white would bring it all together.

I bought my table at Pier One, too. I didn't think it was super quality wood, but it was actually much better looking after I took the white off and did the wood finish.

Right? I'm struggling to stay awake here.

Anyone have anecdotes? Houseguest is in NYC for the weekend so I have been lazing around and doing housewifely tasks. And today I took my kitchen chairs, which were old conference room chairs that I salvaged from Tufts, and scrubbed them down. The chairs are wood and really nice, not some shit plastic conference room furniture. I've been ignoring them for years, idly wondering if I should paint them or leave them be. You know, they're old. But I scrubbed off some of the finish too, which tells me that the wood is probably not super high quality so do I really want to preserve it? Painting them white would look super cute in my kitchen. Thoughts?

I'd refinish them in a wood tone. My tabletop was white and it began to look gross, so I did one of those Minwax wood finishes and never looked back.

Lauren has been constantly pregnant for a few years. It’s hard on the body. In a few years and with patience and perseverance she would be back to her old self. I don’t think surgery is the answer. She will never be satisfied.

She also plans to have a repair to her surgical site. But she does look good and doesn't need anything else!

Wow.  Rob's mom is rude.  Not even a "hello."

This is all Rob's fault. The chicken heart was too scared to tell his mommy HE wanted the money back and made Tennie the fall girl. Since then, he's never told his mom the truth and he is still expecting Tennie to make it right. All he has to do is tell his mom the truth. What a coward.

Now his mom is blaming Tennie for not explaining - not her son. Still blaming her for the money situation. She's as messed up as he is.

This control freak needs to be dumped in the worst way.

Had a roommate like that when I had my knee replaced. Thought the world revolved around her and wouldn't even speak to me. Nurses in and out constantly, kept me awake and insisted the TV should be off. I pretended to the nurses I didn't understand and said no, thanks! Really pissed her off!

Maybe she'll decide she needs a new roommate and insist upon moving. Or you will!

ETA: I did turn it down low despite the commotion.

Sorry guys it’s impossible for me to watch or comment much. The bitch has asked me to turn down the volume to a whisper. She thinks because she has been waiting for hip surgery, and I can walk, my pain and siituation don’t matter. She also summons nurses every few minutes and has loud arguments with them. So much stress!   … sorry to vent, though.

I mean, should I get another credit card?” This guy is the new Chance. Damn, Candace is mad that Andrew potentially saw someone who might advise he limit spending money on her.

If he didn't break up with her on the spot, he's probably the biggest mark ever. I can't believe how much he's spent on her and then to completely set her up out of state, truck and all!

@Pepper Mostly, my dog did a search and destroy mission on yet another mouse last night. Same M.O. Dog 2-Mice 0. I asked my neighbors for exterminator recommendations and they told me not to waste my money, but this madness cannot continue. One more mouse chase and I won’t care how much it costs. I abhor mice!!!

Go for it. Our house was built on what used to be farmland. The mice were in everyone's house before we all moved in. If you see one, he has a lot of friends. I tried catch and release, but it didn't work.

It will cost you, but I don't think you'll get away without it. And they will keep trying, so a one off won't work. 🙁

  10. Thais' father wanting them to ask for a blessing at this time in their lives reminds me of my dad.

We had been married 5 years and had a toddler. My husband had finished his stint in the Army and we were temporarily living with my parents while waiting for our furniture to arrive during a trucking strike. I had spent every weeknight alone while he was in OCS and not allowed to leave the base.

I was at our new apartment unpacking after our things finally arrived. My husband was working his new restaurant job. At midnight, the phone rings and it's my dad, sounding irritated.

"Where are you? It's after midnight!" Suddenly, I'm a 17 year old who has missed her curfew, LOL.

A rehab nursing home. I am worse! Not enough painkillers, not enough help!

Been there, done that! So sorry for this! I'd turn on the light at night, not allowed to get up, and they wouldn't answer for an hour! So 😞

Ashley ...he  doesn't want to waste his kids time having you meet  them because you are NUTS!  and once he has a green card he is dumping your butt and working to bring them to USA

I'm beginning to think he's not supporting any children.  He's just too secretive, and why? He may have kids, but I'll bet he doesn't support them and is socking away money for himself.

Nick and his fake apology is killing me. He doesn’t care. Though at the same time I don’t think Devon really cared about it. It was the only drama they had.

I think he doesn't care what the messed up cast of this show thinks. Doesn't think he should be judged by them.
