  1. Definitely not his real name, he told Henry to call him Adam because he "feels like he's been here since the beginning." The impression I got was that he and Abe would have to move again. That's what they've done every other time anyone has figured out Henry's secret. Abe had to convince Henry not to move when Adam first called, and since Adam seemingly has no interest in telling anyone (nor was he murdering anyone to prove it like Henry originally thought) they have no pressing reason to run from him. I suppose if Jo did find out but promised to keep it a secret then it wouldn't necessarily be a problem either. Henry mostly seems worried about looney bins and dissection which is more of a wrong and/or too many people find out issue as opposed to an anyone at all finds out issue.
  2. That is beautiful. That was me! I am entirely too geeked out that so many people liked it, Thanks guys/gals :-) *Does happy dance* *Ahem* Carry on...
  3. Since so many asked questions, a bit of a play by play: The barrels have nothing in them and don't deter the giants. They do sort of watch as the giants get set up, but that's more so that Jon can tell if they'll be able to stop them. When he sees that they won't, he dispatches Grenn and they spend the rest of that time filling/loading barrels with oil. After the first drop is when a barrel explodes and they're dealing with the aftermath/regrouping before they continue the attack. Ygritte and Jon get exactly 60 seconds of uninterrupted, non-slow-mo time together. And because somebody asked, Grenn Team Six had no arrows to speak of. A lot of 'middle' indeed, I enjoyed it all the same.
  4. For the record, the Ygritte death scene was partially in slo-mo. The battle was wrapping up so I'll give them (director/editor) the benefit of the doubt on that scene. Having said that, I agree with everyone else who thought 'good riddance' to her, she deserved it, and especially from that kid too. About to rewatch now (if HBO-GO cooperates) but also wanted to concur with everyone who saw that the giant couldn't actually manipulate the gate until the mammoth loosened it. It couldn't have just walked up and lifted it beforehand. I'm gonna look for the wildling being squished by the mammoth this time around. I was too busy giggling at the childlike exasperation of the giant who chased it, trying to get it to come back.
  5. They said the names so quickly that they kind of melded together to my ear too. There were three names/guys killed at the tavern. Well I do now that you've mentioned it lol. What is the difference between a knife and a dagger and when did GOT screw it up?
  6. I find that GOT usually benefits from a rewatch; I had a much better appreciation of the beetle story once I knew where it was going. It also made it clearer that Jaime did indeed get the point after a bit. Two episodes in a row and two childhood Tyrion stories I could personally relate to. 1. My brother once told me about how it was very easy to make me cry as a toddler by pretending you were sad in front of me. No matter how happy I was, smiling or even laughing, make a sad face and I'd immediately start to cry. Not nearly as cruel as Cersei but it was clear that my brother got a certain enjoyment out of it that upset me when he said it. 2. Same brother, ran 'experiments' on bugs, lizards, spiders etc (no mammals). Even when I was too young to understand why, it never sat well with me. I made an 'ant farm' out of a Barbie fridge once. I thought I had them contained to one area so I poured in some water to clean out the rest of it... BOOM, 30+ drowned ants. I was 10 and devastated for a week. For all this talk of how disgusting and gory Oberyn's death was, they actually didn't show much. It was mostly the sound and (our) imagination. I rewatched with the sound down and didnt wince at the end - there is no explosion, just a slight bulge, a reaction shot, and then the aftermath. (Not that I don't understand that that's probably enough for some people. I just thought it interesting that some here seem to be implying that they saw his head pop)
  7. I think, as innocuous as the line may have originally sounded, this exchange... Tyrion - Oh, he's going to die. I'm going to die. Jaime - Oberyn believes in himself. Tyrion - That's putting it mildly. ...could've been foreshadowing; believing he'd beaten the Mountain was certainly part of his downfall.
