Hamstring injuries tend to linger. A lot of players came back early from them and suffered a lot. One was Tyrese Haliburton, who came back too early and paid for it last year.

Ngl, I like the Pacers because I feel like they've done the most with the least. They have Haliburton and Siakam as borderline All-Stars, but everyone else is just a very skilled role player.

Wow. The Pacers are a hard team to beat. They're very fast, very sneaky, all starting 5 are good shooters. They're not a top top tier team, but on any given day they can give every top team a hard time. Haliburton is insane. Two clutch game-winners in one playoff series. In other news, @Magog will be happy that Steph went out with a hammy injury.

I have a soft spot for Jill, as needy and exhausting as she might be to deal with on a regular basis. Something I've noticed about a lot of fundie women is they tend to be rather stern and cold. They're like Jessa and Jana. Or Nikki from Big Love (miss that show so much). It's a survival mechanism for sure. Jill strikes me as ... idk, more sensitive? Fragile? Someone whose personality was ill-suited to being a fundie matriarch. Idk what happened that made Derick join the funemployment line, but I wish there was a world where Jill could just go out, get a job, hold down the fort financially while Derick tries to get a job at a right-wing think tank or join an alt-right podcast. But she's completely tethered to a guy who: 1) Doesn't seem all that nice and 2) Has issues sticking to one job for long

Him and Jonathan Kuminga are both kind of busts. Both very athletic and exciting prospects who never developed the BBIQ and finesse.

I'm not calling Jalen Green a bust in the vein of James Wiseman or Anthony Bennett, but he's getting close to a bust. He's just not developing the way he should.

It's not him leaving the job. It's more like him leaving without something else lined up. Most people leave jobs and have another offer lined up. He seems to have left his job and is now unemployed with a wife, 3 kids and a mortgage. That doesn't sound like him leaving was voluntary..

I actually canceled plans tonight so I could watch the Game 7 between the Nuggets and Clippers. Great series.

Cizeron and Gabby fell out bc of his support for Nikolaj Sorensen. He sucks.

Ok I went down a rabbit hole but basically ... They trained together in Canton and when Marina split from Igor the Shib Sibs stayed with Marina and C/B went with Igor. Then in 2018 at the Olympics the Shib Sibs decided to skate both the short and long in the team program, and C/B felt some type of way about it. Then ... this is the weird part ... Apparently Alex in 2018 went on a bizarre Twitter rant that got deleted where he attacked many US skaters and called them names before of course deleting the whole thing. But it caused permanent hard feelings between him and the teams he rage-tweeted about, and C/B were one of the teams. They unfollowed each other on socials and have not been on good terms since.

There's a bunch of tension betweeen the Shib Sibs and Chock and Bates too that goes back years. They apparently hate each other.

It's giving "spend more time with my family" energy ...

So update: Pumpkin is taking her blood pressure meds. Her vision is not good, she sometimes accidentally pees outside the edges of the litter box, so we put wee wee pads nearby. But she's learned to get around, and now that she's on her BP meds, her appetite and spirit has gone up. She's going to be 20 in July and I hope she still has some time left. She's adorable.

Rough night for the Nuggets. Getting pushed to a game 7 from the Clippers is ... not good.

Apparently multiple players have complained about Hali-dad's overbearing, intrusive ways. It's a shame because I LOVE seeing parents at games supporting their kids. I love seeing Mama Durant and Mama Bam and Papa Irving, etc. etc. But when parents get disrespectful of other players' spaces, that's when action has to be taken.

So has anyone seen Court of Gold? I saw it on Netflix and binged the whole series last night. Really enjoyed the behind the scenes look at Olympic basketball teams. I somehow was unaware that both Bam Adebayo and Kevin Durant didn't grow up around a lot of money. For whatever reason, I assumed that anyone who makes the NBA is super affluent because it costs so much to do all the camps and lessons. Really enjoyed seeing the French national team. Also, the comfort that NBA stars are millionaires but they're really just regular people: talking about how much they like Shirley Temples and eating cafeteria ice cream late at night.

So has anyone had a dental implant? How long are you in pain? I had a root canal a few months ago and it was absolutely excruciating for a week or so.

Some other angles of Giannis/Dad-gate show that the dad was screaming at Giannis and approaching him waving a towel like at a bullfight. I don't blame Giannis for getting mad.

Bizarre ending to the Bucks/Pacers series. Giannis and Haliburton's dad almost came to blows and had to be separated.
