  1. Good lord, was that Caskett actually getting some? What wonders ensue when grown-ups write the scripts.
  2. Well, I went all summer without nary a peek at spoilers -- mostly because I was crazybusy, but partly also because it never crossed my mind to look, and by the time it did, the premiere was nearly upon us and I thought 'sure, go unspoiled, that'll probably be better.' I guess it was? As in my reaction is wtf, rather than WTFFFFFF? I mean, of course he was never dead, and for a few minutes it looked like it was getting interesting. But really all it amounted to was the same summer apart bullshit we've had every year, as if they can't have a life without us watching (except when they need their privacy, of course, and all the good stuff happens out of sight). Somehow it all felt kind of rote, paint-by-numbers, calling it in on pretty much everybody's part. Even Stana, who had most of the emotional weight, and certainly tried but....I don't think anybody really had very much to work with. It did feel un-Castley to the point where when Castle came back and was making jokes, it felt beyond not funny. More like some other show. That I think I'd rather be watching. I mean, what will they do next week? Drag this out or follow it up with space bunnies or summat? Sigh. I really wanted them to get their mojo back. Instead it looks like they're going to drag the wedding out yet another half season, at the very least. Gah. ETA: Not a spoiler for those in the States, so...I see they've opted for drag it out. Oh, joy.
  3. Hi GeorgieNY -- that would indeed be me. How last century of us :)
  4. Sniffle. But I see the conversation continues ::squee:: I've never seen any chemistry between Jane and Lisbon, but I have watched the show for years with the same reservations I have with Bones (not particularly impressed by the leading female actor) and for the same reasons (but I do like that there's follow-through and consequences for the darker strands of a mostly light show, and I do like the supporting cast. Also, I have a soft spot for Simon Baker. He does tortured genius so very well.) Haven't seen the finale yet (I like it, but it's a binge show for me, which I suspect Castle may become next year) but the buzz around it seems to be good. I don't think there has ever been anything terribly original about Castle's formula. Following through on the promise that it was really just a romantic comedy masquerading as a procedural, now *that* would have been original. But I also don't need a show to be 'original', I just need a bit of spark between the leads, some cheeky sidekicks, and sharp dialogue and I'm there. Castle used to have that in spades, but I think as time has gone on, it's become obvious that Marlowe had the idea and the control, but the sparkle was coming from others who have now, sadly, left. OTOH, I did like the eps the newbies did this year, probably in fact the best of the lot, so if he can find a few more of those next year....and then refrain from f*£&ing cliffhangers.... I think my overall wish for S7 is that it's the last, and they are made aware of that early enough to pull the finger out and tell whatever grand story it is they've been trying so hard NOT to tell for the last two years.
  5. Fialka from TWOP here -- registered on these forums awhile ago, but I never pack till the last minute. I actually liked the single thread, but we'll see. It's a bit like moving from a bedsit into a mansion. Lots of room, now we need stuff to fill it....
  6. Holy mojo, look at all the roooooom. Although I think I'll miss us all being jammed into one thread it does make the spoiler policy a lot simpler, dunnit? Hi TWOPfugees! To which...I've been trying to ignore the speculation, but the romantic past complication (eyeroll) thingie...is this the bad boy who taught Beckett to ride motorcycles (also can I hope against hope that's not the character Warehouse 13 boy will play, but rather this is why Michael Polish was hanging around onset?) Or is W13boy the grungy Kurt Cobain wannabe who smelled like wet flannel? The title of the ender suggests there's a wedding, although prolly not the one they expect. I guess at this point if it's not as miserable as the proposal I'll be grateful. This season, though better than last, has already dragged the whole thing past boredom for me.
