Getting to Genoa You All Over Again: Y&R Daily Chat

The character of Devon Hamilton made his first appearance in June of 2004 and the character of Mamie Johnson made her last appearance, until now, in September of 2004, so there was some overlap - anyone know if those two characters were ever introduced? -

If it is "naughty" photos, I hope it can be proven that they haven't been photoshopped. Not only is Sharon Nick's ex-wife (1995-2007), she's also his ex-sister-in-law (Adam 2009-2010) and his ex-stepmother (Victor 2012) -

Michelle Stafford, Sharon Case and Joshua Morrow were on ABC's The Talk today, and MS wore a long dress with a slit in the skirt that reached up to the hip Just speculation on my part, but I'm guessing that the Gala's entertainment will include enlarged digital images of GC through the years projected onto a wall, and that JS might somehow hack into that show and slip in blow ups of "naughty" pictures Diane got paid posing for while she was living incognito in LA, and that Diane will not be alone in some of the pictures - - I'm imagining that the scene will unfold as follows: Jack, microphone in hand, and Diane standing, arm-in-arm, on a stage with the projected enlargements of GC through the years flashing on the wall behind them, and as soon as Jack announces that he and Diane are engaged, enlargements of Diane's "naughty" pictures start flashing on the wall behind them. -

Jack has so completely lost sanity over Diane, that I'm not surprised he truly believes that an adoring crowd will cheer his taking over the GC bicentennial festivities to announce their engagement while a fireworks display lights up the night-time sky. -

Am I wrong, or was Mamie a little less than overjoyed to see Jack back with Diane? Wonder how everyone's going to take Leanna "Love" Randolphe's return to GC - what cans-of-worms will be re-opened? Abby's flashback made me think that Bryton James must be shrinking because he looked so much taller in that scene. Hoping that Stark's surprise for Diane is a real doozy - - will GC Gala attendees be expected to come in costume, or will they just have to wear those fancy face masks with fancy dress? -

Does CH have it written in her contract that she will always be shown wearing a bra during F scenes, because I think she's about the only actress on Y&R I've seen wearing one while doing the nasty, or am I remembering wrong. -

How did Summer kill her father's unborn child, and who was the baby mama. Now that Ashley has acquired Tucker's debt, might she also be planning on pushing Jack out of Jabot? -

Nick sleeping with someone who's carrying Adam's baby; it's kind of like the Nick/Sage/Adam(posing as Gabriel Bingham)/Christian storyline, except Sage really thought the baby was Nick's - shouldn't Nick be getting a little bit tired of women giving birth to his brother's babies while they're involved with him? -

Eeeewwww, losing her 36-year old boyfriend to someone 34 must really suck for the 52-year old Sharon Case, no wonder she looks like she's had cosmetic surgery. -

Kyle and Summer - 1) I didn't really catch on to Y&R until about 2017, so I missed the first 4 actors who played Kyle, but the actor who's been playing him since 2018 must really come cheap for the powers-that-be at Bell Dramatic Serial Company to keep him on in the role 2) Please, people at Bell Dramatic Serial Company, please have the Y&R writers stop having Summer call Victor Newman "grandpa" when she's mentioning him to other people, because it makes her sound like she's 12-years old. She's a responsible business executive now, so she should refer to him as "my grandfather" when she's mentioning him to others; she can call him "grandpa" when she's talking to him. What's your take on Kyle - would the character be less ridiculous if he was being played by a better actor, because I think the one who's been playing him since 2018 just keeps getting worse-and-worse at it. -

What is it, Waldo, can you not stand the Nick Newman character, or do you despise the actor who plays him? -

I seem to remember reading on some fan site that the 52-year old Sharon Case was having a romance with the 36-year old Mark Grossman, so maybe all the cosmetic work she's had is an attempt to not look 16-years older than her boyfriend. -

In Sunday School, the nuns would tell us girls that we shouldn't bathe in the same water our fathers or brothers had bathed in, because we might get pregnant - of course, this was 60 years ago, so maybe they've changed their line on that one. -

I thought today's dream-sequence scenes were actually entertaining, though I wish the show had ended with a reveal of the real baby-daddy. -

I know that botox injections into the muscles that control eye movement is a therapy used for strabismus, but won't injecting botox directly into your eye actually blind you? Guess you caught on to the whole dream-sequence flash forward stuff - the real baby-daddy reveal happens on tomorrow's show. -

Nick never said those words to Sharon, it was part of Sally's dream-sequence flash forward. -

You do know, boultice, that today's (2/21/23) show presented two different flash-forward scenes for what Sally imagined the outcome would be depending on who's the daddy, don't you - we won't find out who the real baby-daddy is until tomorrow's show. Don't know where you are, gingerella, but here in Massachusetts, the showing of Liverpool vs Real Madrid didn't start until after Y&R and then BB showed. -

Wow, today's (2/21/23) show really pulled out all the stops with the flash-forwards, didn't it - can't wait until tomorrow's baby-daddy reveal. -

No one seems to be quite sure of the specifics, but what I'm getting out of the show is that he became a workaholic when his business started to fail, and was nasty to Heather and Lucy in the process - and here's hoping, KLovestoShop, that you have a full and speedy recovery from your emergency surgery. -

Daniel's daughter is named Lucy, Heather is his life partner who absconded to Portugal with Lucy and has now found a new soul mate. -

Lucy is the child of Daniel Romalotti (son of Phyllis Summers and Danny Romalotti, although it was later revealed that Brian Hamilton was Daniel's biological father) and Daisy Carter (Daisy is the daughter of Sheila Carter and Tom Fisher - Tom is the father of Michael Baldwin's half-brother, Kevin Fisher). Daisy having drugged Daniel into believing that he was having sex with his 2nd wife, Amber Forrester (Lily Winters was his 1st wife), resulting in Daisy becoming pregnant with Lucy, and Lucy has had quite the lifestory for someone who's only 13: First, she's abandoned at birth by her mother, who left her in a church; then she's sold to Billy Abbot and Victoria Newman by a baby broker named Primrose DeVille - it's Billy and Victoria who name her Lucy; then she's kidnapped by her nanny, Jana Hawkes; then her father, Daniel, signs away his parental rights to Billy and Victoria; then her mother, Daisy, regains custody of her and her father, Daniel, marries her mother so as to ensure her safety; then her mother disappears and is presumed dead (Daisy disappears again after she is found to have been a resident in a mental institution all that time); and then she leaves Genoa City for Savannagh, Georgia, with her father and his life partner, Heather Stevens (daughter of Paul Williams and his 1st wife, April Stevens; former fiance of Adam Newman; one night stands with Billy Abbot and "Chance" Chancellor; begins affair with Ronan Malloy after he's accused of shooting his half-brother, "Chance" Chancellor; begins relationship with Daniel Romalotti - Heather and Daniel cannot marry because he is still married to Lucy's mother, Daisy Carter, whose whereabouts are unknown). -

Nate was a surgeon, and surgeons are well known for thinking of themselves as major deities, so the attitude works in both the OR and the corporate boardroom - and speaking of Nate, am I the only one who finds the "sexual tension building between Nate and Victoria" storyline as dull as dishwater? -

1) Jack's made his bed, let him lie in it until it blows up in his face. 2) I've got two takes on Audra: 1. She's an opportunist who's playing both sides while waiting for the final winner to be decided in the epic McCall vs Newman battle of the titans; 2. She's a mole who's playing both sides against each other as a way of causing both to be over-leveraged and, thereby, vulnerable to take over by a third party. 3. Could Diane have looked any happier during the knock-down-drag-out between Jack and Ashley? I'm thinking that Summer will be next to go after Diane works her wiles on Jack and Kyle as pay-back for having had the nerve to set boundaries with her, and I'm thinking that Diane will also lay a trap for never-a-bad-word-for-anybodyTraci that will earn poor Traci the Wrath of Jack and banishment from the Abbott homestead. -

Nate's really making himself at home at Newman Enterprises, isn't he; when his boss, Victoria, told him she'd make sure he was informed of updates on the Tucker McCall deal, instead of thanking her for for her consideration, like any employee should, he just told her that'd be good. Will the Nate story line eventually play out as his arrogance leading to his downfall - - I used to work in an OR, and I can tell you that one thing that the writers do get right about the Nate character is that surgeons can really be that convinced of their "divinity."
