The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a "Morning Steele". Here's a clip from The Weekend last year regarding confusion about him and the Steele dossier. Love how Michael was able to call out stupidity and laugh it up with Alicia and Symone at the same time. Joe would probably be all insulted.

Leslie Charleson's guest spot on Happy Days just aired on MeTV not long ago. I believe that was in 1975, a couple of years before she joined GH. I enjoyed the Quartermaines, and it seems like they all adored each other in real life. One of my favorite stories was when Anna Lee (Lila) received a helmet from Ms. Charleson dubbing her "The British Bullet" once she was using her motorized wheelchair. Stuart Damon (Alan) said in interviews that he was so broke during his first few weeks on the show that Ms. Charleson would drive him to and from the studio. Great times.

If they do think that, then they are totally misreading the room. Most people who are NOT in this business could tell by the tanked ratings that the core viewership of MSNBC would like some NORMALCY and not soap opera. Then again, what do I know? 🤷‍♀️ Yes, he has. Michael has also filled in for Nicolle Wallace, Chris Hayes and Jen Psaki among others.

I think Michael is the only panelist to push back...and good for him for not being cowed by Joe!! Look at Michael...he is handsome, charismatic, funny and articulate. He is the complete opposite of the Mr. and Mrs. in that regard. If they put Michael in that timeslot, MSNBC could win back a lot of those viewers who bailed after Election Day. He doesn't huff and puff like Joe...who is, in a word, insufferable.
