  1. Yep. And that is why I think the mysterious woman from the bar who is blackmailing Dennis -- although technically working for the ISI -- is actually a Taliban/Al-Qaeda sympathizer and double agent who is working outside her ISI superiors' knowledge. The young guy from the ISI who met with Saul and reported to the woman does not seem to be in on it. When he reported to the woman (in the ISI headquarters) that Saul was leaving the country, the woman said "good riddance," and that was the end of it. Then, next thing you know, she is secretly arranging to have Saul kidnapped. I think that is the big twist in the story line this season. The Taliban/Al-Qaeda is using their mole in the ISI (the woman) in an attempt to destroy the cooperation between the USA and Pakistan in their fight against the extremists. That was also the reason for tricking in the US into bombing the wedding - to drive a wedge between the US and Pakistan. I expect the kidnapping of Saul will likewise be blamed on the ISI (or at least the mysterious woman will do everything she can to make it look like the ISI did it) to further upset US-Pakistan relations and cooperation in fighting against the Taliban/Al-Qaeda. Aayan will probably end up being the key for Carrie, Quinn and Farrah to figure out what is really going on.
  2. I thought I would start a post for speculation about how the series is going to end. Here's my guess. We are going to see something akin to The Godfather ending -- with the kingpin antihero killing all the heads of the rival "Five Families" in one fell swoop, while at the same time personally confronting and killing the traitor on the inside of his "family." We will find out that all of this season has been part of Jax's master plan to turn all the other gangs against each other to weaken them. Then Jax will arrange the near-simultaneous murders of August Marks, Lin, Alvarez, whoever is now in charge of the One-Niners, and possibly others to consolidate his power. He will then confront Gemma and tell her that he knows that she was the one who betrayed him by killing his wife, at which point she will be killed too, or convinced to kill herself first. That puts Gemma in the "trusted traitor" role of Carlo from GF-I, or Fredo or Frank Pentangeli from GFII. ("I knew it was you Fredo! You broke my heart!"). Like the Godfather, the series will end by showing that Jax has become the king, but at the price of losing his soul and his family, which he claims he cares most about. His children will fear him, and will grow up wanting nothing to do with him (just like Michael Corleone). Success as leader of the club goes hand in hand with personal tragedy.
  3. Yes, looks like it is Stephen Root. He is credited on the episode as "Bar Patron." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3468290/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_2
  4. That guy in the lounge and the elevator with Loren and the two ladies (hookers?) looks a lot like good old Kentucky Federal Judge Mike "The Hammer" Reardon from Justified (actor Stephen Root). I love that guy.
  5. You know that Jared is going to run off as soon as he gets into the cabin and discovers there is no TV, and nothing to watch but two copies of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. ;-)
  6. Yeah, but Kate is probably thinking that her KGB phone expert guy will be on the case to see if there is anything fishy about it. But whoops, he's dead.
  7. When Stan was interviewing all those Stealth tech guys, I just kept thinking that now Stan is going to know all of these guys deepest, darkest secrets and weak points . . . so now he will end up giving them all to the Russians when they blackmail Stan with photos of him handing over the surveillance information to Oleg by the pinball machine. Because he has been compromised, Stan's investigation is making the Have Blue program less, not more secure. Also, when Phillip walked into the church, for some reason I thought he was going to burn it down.
