Emmys are the 15th, I think. Not a big fan of awards shows during the work week, but there you go.

I feel like "comedy series" now = "any series that is routinely about a half hour long each episode."

The way I'm handwaving this award is that the HFPA looked at the top however-many (seemed like...too many) box office grossers and then...picked the one they thought was the best film? I dunno, it's kinda weird.

Worst way ever to present the nominees for Best Song but 🥳 to Billie Eilish for that beautiful song.

Someday when I have nothing else to do for three hours in a row, I will watch Oppenheimer.

I just wanted him to win, that's all. I watched The Last of Us and never could get into Succession, so, vested interest 🥲

Steven Yeun will always have my heart for his voicing of Speckle on Tuca and Bertie.

Stephen is an exceptionally good interviewer when talking about grief and loss, especially at an early age, as he himself experienced. It gives those topics a real gravitas that no one else in late night can match. And then he can turn on a dime and be silly without disrespecting the seriousness of that moment. It's kind of amazing.

I do not get the seemingly random capitalization and punctuation of TAR (accent over the A). Maybe the filmmakers just didn't want to confuse audiences with a black sticky substance or The Amazing Race?
