Also...there's a reason her physician put her on a diuretic. Could be for high blood pressure or some other pulmonary issue. If her doctor prescibed them then she needs to take them. Post menopause can wreak havoc on a woman's heart and blood pressure. They don't interact with alcohol. She's a moron...just looking for a reason to get drunk every day. I've been on them for five years and have never been told they interact with alcohol. If anything, excessive alcohol consumption will do more damage to her then taking a water pill.

It wouldn't surprise me if the diuretic she is on is not Dr. prescribed and is one of those over the counter pills to help with period bloat.  The way Ramona responded to her like "you don't need those. you look great" makes me think Sonja is abusing those to lose water weight.

Unless she was just overly dehydrated, the diuretics aren't responsible for her behavior when drinking.  And if she were that dehydrated, she would have had a raging headache and likely would be vomited from that.

I don't believe Sonja is doing anything more but acting.  Is she drunk?  Probably.  Is she overplaying that?  Absolutely.   I used to love Sonja.  The season of the fight with Aviva with Ramona was my favorite of her.  She was charming then.

Like others, I like how Lu bounces back.  I've always thought she had a great sense of humor, and when she was that haughty countess, I heard that was pretty much the act and she was a lot of fun to be around.  I like that she's had drinks but she isn't going back to her old self.  Dorinda shoving the arrest in her face, yet again, was disturbing.   For Lu, that was an aberration.  For Dorinda, her drunken belligerence can't even be hidden when she's having dinner with philanthropists.

And I know I'm in the minority, but I like Leah.  I didn't like her throwing torches episode, but I generally like her. I think she has some great talking heads.   I liked that she told Dorinda she was wrong about what Lu said.

In life, sometimes you don't get your feelings validated.

But why should Josh have to deal with what some other guy did to Cathy?  Cathy came with suitcases and trunks.  She needs to deal with her issues before thinking about getting married.  Josh on the other hand needs to know it's not right to tell his mother his relationship problems.

Why is it creepy?  KC needs to learn the word boundaries.  She barely knows the man and she's cleaning his house?  Stuffed animals aren't hurting anybody.

Amen!  It's extra strange to me that she really doesn't even know Josh and his talking to another woman generated so much anguish.  They aren't legally married.  They barely know each other.  But him talking to another woman (I don't care how flirtatious she might have been) caused that much trauma?  She needs to see visit something other than a plastic surgeon's office.

And yes, KC is another headcase.  Although if all those stuffed animals were in the house of a man I was paired with, I may be a little worried he's grooming someone.

Josh made my blood boil this episode. WTH is wrong with him? Why did he turn off so suddenly? I agree they had sex too soon. As for her feeling insecure...she's been cheated on in the past multiple times so her insecure feelings and/or feelings of jealousy do not come out of thin air. I have compassion for her. Josh should have tried harder to allay her worries over Haley. His mom is a shit stirrer and I wanted to slap

If she can't watch her partner talk to a woman without thinking the worst of him, she shouldn't be in a relationship and should deal with her issues first.  This is the turning point for Josh.  And who could blame him?  I would not want to date someone who gets jealous that easily.  I wouldn't give a fuck what their baggage was.  More people in this life have been cheated on than not.  Suck it up, deal with your insecurity.  Because you will doom every relationship you get into if you are gutted when a flirtatious woman is talking to your man.  Pretend to be secure.  It's a lot sexier.

I believe he started it.  I believe they went back to Moldova and he started acting like some sort of alpha male.  Liz is right to check him on his house husband status.  Hubs and I are mostly retired but I have a part-time job that pays the mortgage; if he discounted me that way, I would be happily single since I can support myself and it is my (and my husband's) choice to stay married.

My take is he turned on Libby and she isn't having it.  Libs, go home with your kid and family.  This clearly isn't a nice opportunity bond with your husband's family.  Have you noticed he hates you?  Go home.  Let him work to afford the plane ticket back to FL.  Go Home.

For some reason, what you quoted was attributed to me -- "I think even if one disagrees with their spouse, they don't turn against them in front of a bunch of people like that." - but I was't me!

I don't think they exist on this show w/o some drama.  So I'm sure they are bringing it to pad their wallets.

I agree.  Mishell, Cathy, Connie.  They needed therapy, not marriage.   The men however, need to understand that many women feel insecure because we living in a 24/7 culture that tells woman "you're not enough" over and over and over again.

Mishell was rude walking out like a spoiled entitled child.  I wouldn't have done that as a 10 year old.

Cathy and Josh had sex too early.  Josh got upset with Cathy when she told him she felt insecure that he was sitting with what's her name, who got kicked out of the experiment.  Josh thought it was an attack on him.  I'm sorry but walking out, turning off your phone and not coming home until 1:30 in the morning?  You're grounded, young lady!

I think Jonny felt like he had to walk on eggshells because Connie was too insecure and too sensitive and he just got tired of it.  Not sexy at all.

Ivan was too much of a workaholic, asking Aleks to be his assistant?  That was really strange.

Exactly -- therapy not marriage.  Or the "experiment" since it's not a legal marriage!

I'm sure each of them would run if they were paired with a deeply insecure man!

Mishel has no self awareness.  First of all, she's no spring chicken.  When you get to a certain age, the men aren't going to want to jump out of airplanes.  Many of them are "been there, done that," and what they want is to settle down.

Also Mishel is vulgar.  She'd just met Steve, yet every other word out of her mouth was a curse word.  She didn't even know Steve and she was cursing like a sailor.  You'd think she would want to put her best foot forward, I guess not.

I still think Ivan and Alex are grifters.  This is what I think happened.  I think they get along because they both have similar backgrounds (Eastern European) but not really attracted to each other.  There was a strange scene of them on their honeymoon.  They sat by the pool I believe and commented on how nice the place was, how good the food and drink was, etc.  I would not be a bit surprised if, off camera they realized that they could have a nice little vacation, plus be on TV and become "reality stars."  So they agreed to not talk about their physical relationship (because they have none) by saying, "we both agreed not to talk about it on camera."  Unlike the US version of the show, these aren't "legally binding marriages."  They can get to the end of the show, say, "we don't want to get married" and be done with it, no harm no foul.

I agree on Mishel.  I don't think a lot of men are going to find her personality attractive, much less her looks.  Steven is no prize either.  I agree that the "i'm not attracted to her" comment should not have been revealed to his friends, but at this point he wants out anyway and she inexplicably wanted more airtime and decided to stay.

Alex and Ivan have zero chemistry, and I think he's just odd. I think they are both hoping this helps their real estate careers or they get onto some reality TV real estate show.

And of course, blow up doll is going to love Michael's place!

The guy with the stuffed animals, odd.  I also realized the jealous chick has a rubber face as well.

Seb is weird.  Lizzie has a lot of baggage. I don't believe the off camera discussion was her not drinking water and not eating vegetable.  I suspect he was questioning whether she's anorexic.

The other two women -- Josh and Jonny's partners -- are such insecure messes that their mates packed it in a long time ago.  Insecurity is such a turnoff.

I don't see what doesn't add up. When I was 26 (lo those many years ago) I was young, good looking and a good catch - and I was ready to settle down into married life (not with a stranger but still)... I think there are men out there who are ready at that age to settle down and Miles seems like a mature guy and an old soul to me. Thus far I don't see anything NOT to trust.

I'm in NoVA too and I think this is exactly what Henry was talking about. I'm guessing he likes the monuments and touristy stuff downtown and the bars and restaurants in the 'burbs. I don't think he's talking about as far out as Purcellville and the Shenandoahs - those aren't really considered "NoVA" as much as exurbs (or maybe a far-flung suburb if you're trying to sell a house). We not Paris but Christina should give us a try - it's a nice place to visit (and a good place to live if you are ok with a pretty high cost of living).

Leesburg and Purcellville is considered NoVa, but most people don't think of that as NoVa.  When he said that, I def thought he meant Arlington, Tysons area, not further out.  Shenandoah is def not NoVa!  Va just has a lot of beauty to it, a lot that you can do within the state.

Hi neighbor!!! (Not sure how close but unless you’re in Southern MD we’re probably pretty much neighbors ... MoCo here). And yes, I was cracking up during that scene.

I was getting almost “rainman” vibe from him there as she sounded like she was studying for a geography bee rattling off countries and he just kept repeating “DC and Northern Virginia” ... guess he has a friend who lives in Arlington (not judging, we lived in PW when we moved here and I worked in Arlington/Tyson’s for 15 years)

Actually it would probably be a not bad location for them  ... we have 3 international airports (extra points for living in MD that we count BWI as local) for Christina to fly out of.

Plus I’m a big fan of Maryland’s fruity wineries (my unpopular opinion) PLUS in non-pandemic years the great Ren Faire!!! AND the MD/Del beaches (Team Bethany ... sniff ... maybe next summer if we haven’t moved to Cali by then)

Hi neighbor!  I'm in the Frederick area and not that far from MoCo!  Lived in Germantown for a few years.

Yes, Maryland has some wonderful wineries!  I like taking Rt. 7 towards Leesburg.  Some nice wineries there too!

My nephew just moved with his GF to Arlington.  That's exactly what I was thinking he likely meant by "Northern VA"!

I keep looking at retirement areas less expensive from here, but Maryland/VA has it all.  It's hard to leave this area.

But Henry's favorite place to travel is the Northern Virginia suburbs of DC.  Then again, maybe it's the eastern part of Washington State your sister likes?

I did chuckle at that mostly I live in the suburbs of MD and I love Northern Virginia -- mainly the areas with some mountain views (Purcellville is pretty and has some cute wineries). Virginia is a cool state -- I just got back from a weekend stay Hot Springs, Va which I think is in the south western part of the state.  Alleghany Mountains -- Beautiful mountain views!  Skyline drive of Virginia is gorgeous.  Then you've got the ocean!   It's got everything like my native MD!  Still, Henry should get out more.  🙂

    Amelia and Bennet

I knew Amelia would look better in regular clothes. She has the best smile and teeth. Looks nice in a bathing suit too. They are both quite the characters and do seem well matched. However if I were Amelia, I'd wonder if I would do something like married at first sight knowing I have this huge commitment to becoming a health care professional and schooling. Once she does her residency that's a 12-14 hour a day job. It just doesn't seem fair to marry someone sight unseen and then spring this on him. I would have to be sure this marriage is going to work before I'd move somewhere.

    Amani and Woody

We shall see if he has conquered his demon temper issues. Definitely a concern when his own family issues warnings... for now they seem fun loving.

    Olivia and Brett

Seems like Brett is pleased with Olivia and he seems to feel he's gotten a good partner.

    Christina and Henry

Trying to figure out how Henry was selected at all. He's not a bad guy just doesn't seem to have anything interesting to say. Some people have commented that they like his father but I think he's a disgrace. What kind of a creep bad mouths his own son to his new wife? I can see why he's a momma's boy with that dad. Christina is a looker I have to admit. I don't see how a person like Christina had a hard time finding a suitable man to hook up with...I can see why Henry would.

    Karen and Miles

Looks like a good match...though I think the man being 5 years older is better than the other way around.

I think Amelia could be rather pretty without the garish outfits!  Beautiful smile!

Totally Team Christina here.  I get that her continual references to travel may get tiresome, but I think she's trying to find a point of conversation-i.e. we're both traveling to Mexico, so let's talk about traveling.  She seems to be trying to engage him in conversation, but he is just not participating.  I believe that the "experts" cast him thinking that there would be drama between his "friend" Kristine and his wife Christina.

I found Bennett's position on children off-putting.  NOT because he doesn't want them and would prefer to adopt (that was my preference), but because he puts it in "moral" terms.  By declaring it unethical to have children, he has placed judgement on everyone who has their own children.  Including his parents...  I also think the reason his sister brought this up at brunch was because their mom kept going on and on about how fabulous Bennett is and sister felt overlooked so wanted a big "moment" for t.v. and the brunch.

Brett looked disappointed when Olivia said she didn't want children.  To me, this is a definite deal breaker when one partner definitely wants children and the other doesn't.  One is bound to feel pressured and it could turn into long-term resentment.  I loved that Brett had the old school suitcase.  Used to be that we only packed what we could carry and lift (when I used to take students to Europe back in the 20th century I explained to them that nobody was going to help them with their suitcases so to make sure they only packed what they could physically handle [that went for me as well]).

The resort looked fabulous!  I will probably research it a bit in the next few days.  Loved that Bennett and Amelia could jump into the pool from their room.  The beach looked amazing.

I think Karen is being won over by Miles' sincerity and respectfulness.  Loved how her straw hat looked on her.

I think Christina's running list of where she is and how she traveled in such luxurious accommodations is why I find her recounting it annoying. I get the context, but I get the vibe she's a one-upper.

And yes, if Brett wants kids, she doesn't that's fucked they put those two together.

As a fellow introvert who has trouble with eye contact, I could see myself acting like Henry in this situation. Which is why I would never, ever apply to be on any reality TV show. Ever.

Amelia had some really unflattering jeans on. And it seemed the camera crew wanted to show them over and over again.

I am deeply envious of Amani and Karen's no-fuss hair for vacation. It's a dream of mine to be able to not think about my hair for days on end.

Brett is acting better than in the past few episodes. But I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.  We shall see.

I feel like Brett is just acting.  I don't think he's attracted at all to Olivia.

  13. (1) Brett wasn't bad this episode, but I feel like he's trying to get the good guy edit that he was totally into Olivia at first.  It seems forced to me.

    (2) Olivia. I don't know I just get a vibe she's a little crazy but her girl next door conceals it for a bit.

    (3) I love Amani and Woody.   Her voice doesn't bother me like others here.

    (4) Christina, not impressed with your travel like you are, particularly since that's your job.  Henry doesn't appear to have a personality, but i don't see one on her either.

    (5) Miles is adorable.  I don't understand Karen's "relationship hopper" concern in those upcoming segments.  Until you get married, you relationship hop unless you're just into flings.  I don't think she wants a nice guy.

    (6) Bennett has great bone structure. I noticed that last episode when his glasses were off.  I saw smoldering handsome!  I think he and Amelia are adorable.

Don't feel bad; I was upset anyone would think I would insult special needs, given my own family. I feel angry for Henry because I think they're pulling weird edits on him, so IF he's got something going on it's even worse for them to do that to him. It's what production is doing with him & how that's pissing me off this season.

In the previews they show Henry telling Cal there's been a "pattern of dishonesty" with Christine. I don't wish this on either of them, but edits do change depending on how they want to spin things, so we'll see what that's about.

And I do get how you felt and so sorry about that!

I can't decide who is worse, jihoon or sad sack devan.

I sound like my grandma, I want to tell her..."smile, you have such a pretty face" she seems like one of the most depressing, humorless people.

bimi dances in a club with about 30 people and is able to make a living doing butt slapping dances in Ethiopia? this is not a career path.

For me, it's Deavan.  She has one child already. She HAS to know how much it costs someone to raise a child. if you're expecting someone to support you, you better damn well know more about the man who just impregnated you.  To me, she's got to be smarter than Jihoon by default simply because even if she lives with her mom, she knows full well the cost of a child.

There's really zero excuse for an accidental pregnancy at this point when you're an adult, especially when Plan B is available over the counter.  I do not for one minute believe they took precautions and the rubber fell off his micropenis.  They did what a lot of stupid people do: roll the dice because they think making a kid together would be exciting.  The mere reason you know zilch about the person you're fucking is the reason you should have protection and a medicine cabinet full of Plan B.

I agree, but I feel she has been surprisingly low-key to just about every situation that has been presented to her. Like she is in another universe or something. There seems to be something just not connecting with her about future living conditions, finances, and EVERYTHING else.  She doesn't know how much he makes as a dancer and whether or not it will provide for her and the baby.  Have a feeling she won't be living there long.

My guess is she knows her mom will ultimately provide the lifestyle she wants.
