  1. I'm really not enjoying these 'remote' connections on 'The View' or any other show. For the most part, the visuals and audio are completely off - two people can't communicate properly because the audio feed cuts in and out (that happened a few times this week with 'The View' when they're speaking with each other).

As long as this continues, they need to either 'up their game' with the remote hosting, or take a hiatus. And for the record - I finally caught an episode of 'The Talk' in during their remote hosting. Talk about a trainwreck...

  2. So many of these cases these days are quick, boring, and rather inane. I think these are the 'extra cases' which aren't good enough for ratings sweeps months, so they burn them off in 'off months' (March, April). I can't wait for May when sweeps begin again - hoping for better, entertaining cases.

As much as Meg annoys me, we watch so many of the same shows. Don't judge me, but Tiger King is just the kind of entertainment I needed at this time! It was nice watching something that wasn't political or about corona.

I agree. The reason I watched it over the past few days is because she talked about it last week. It was ...... 'entertaining' to say the least.

  4. I just caught up with the past few days, and here's my observations...

    1. Kim Kardashian is not someone I look to for guidance in times of crisis. Is this the best they can do ?

    2.  Notice Bernie's tag line below him was (D-VT) when in fact he's an Independent ?  No one caught that before they aired it and kept it there during the interview ?

    3. Too bad Sunny didn't sell off her personal furnishings and belongings from her house in a 'special' VIEW YOUR DEAL. She had nice stuff - not the crap she pushes on the show.

  5. For those who wish for 'lighter topics' these days on the show - be careful what you wish for! They may give us even more 'View Your Deals' and more Jason Biggs each week. Now we all know we don't want either !

By the way, has anyone here watch any episodes of the dreadful 'The Talk' this week? It was their first week back (so I read) and each host was remoting in from home. Wonder if it was as bad as 'The View' with remote hosts ?

ll taping?  Does she do segments on GMA?  If she's already in the studio (and apparently not afraid of infection) it makes sense for the producers to drag her in and set her butt in the chair.  Otherwise I doubt she'd be filling in as a host (from home).

No - that show has been 'furloughed' so to speak, and now they are doing COVID updates each day for an hour.

Everything I've been reading for the past season or two has suggested that show is not doing well in the ratings no matter how they try to revamp it  (adding the third host).  I have a feeling ABC may just cancel it at this point. Strahan has his GMA stint, so he's all set. Sara most likely will return to this show. Who knows where third host Keke will show up - maybe as a rotating host at 'The View'?  We shall see...

Everyone there seems to like Sara except Meghan. No surprise there...I'm sure she feels she's a threat.

  7. Someone asked why Sunny and Sara are going to the studio every day. I think a lot of it has to do with vanity - I doubt either lady (especially Sunny) would subject themselves to being home without expert lighting, makeup artist and hairstylist to get them ready. They are each too involved with their appearances on television - especially Sunny.

I'm so glad they had 'View Your Deal' today - NOT!!!  And the fact that 'these are small businesses' that Sara keeps pushing doesn't help; viewers want to help the small businesses in their own neighborhood. If they want to help 'small businesses' then encourage viewers to check with their local restaurants, and see if they have a donation to a charity or a go-fund-me-page for their laid off staff members. That would go a long way with making a donation with the money they would be spending by buying the unnecessary crap they're pushing on TV.

5 p.m. episodes, first one new, second one a recent rerun (rerun I missed the first time because that channel was having issues, and it's doing it again.  I really want to know how JJ gets interrupted, but every stupid commercial runs just fine.)-

    First (New)-

I'm a Cash Guy, Not a 'Tax' Guy-Plaintiff suing former friend for the return of property, and for  filing a false police report, and arrest.   However, plaintiff admits he never pays taxes (right to the top of the list for people who shouldn't have come on this show, as JJ points out, the IRS has people that watch her show for tax evaders).     Plaintiff had most of the money for down payment, and a previous truck that defendant gave him, in return for work.      Plaintiff put his own $1,000 down on truck, but had to put the truck in defendant's name for financing.   Plaintiff paid $800 a month for truck, and wasn't paying for the truck a few months later.   Defendant's wife said either make the payment, or return the truck, but he didn't do either one.    Plaintiff claims he was trying to refi car loan, and they were negotiating with the finance company.  Payments were auto pay from defendant's bank account.  Defendant has the truck back.

Plaintiff has no bank accounts, because the government wants our share of his earnings, for his various jobs, and a renter.  Defendant reported the car as stolen, which it was, and therefore the false arrest part of plaintiff's complaint is dismissed. Defendant got the truck back, and the property plaintiff is suing for was in the truck (and probably a huge lie, like always).     (Plaintiff's annoying witness has so many metal studs in her face, that I bet she set off the metal detector in the court room).    Plaintiff case dismissed, and defendant's counter claim dismissed (he has the truck back).

At first, it sounded like a hot romance between the younger guy and the older guy, as JJ began the case by saying to the plaintiff "You and the defendant had a relationship for a while..."

Turns out they were just friends, as the plaintiff did work for the defendant. Nothing 'sexy' there. LOL!

5 p.m. episodes, first one new, second one a recent rerun-

    First (New)-

Mercedes Benz Tug-of-War-Plaintiff suing former friend for breach of car lease deal, and returning the car damaged  Plaintiff leased a MB for 8 months for a former assistant who left the country.   Plaintiff needed someone to make the lease payments for the term of the lease.     Defendant was supposed to pay the lease amount to plaintiff, once every 6 months.   After 19 months defendant didn't want the car, and after month 27, car had 9 months remaining.    There was no written agreement between plaintiff and defendant.   Counter claim by defendant is garbage according to JJ.   Defendant claims he returned car to plaintiff with damage that was on car when he received it.

Plaintiff says defendant offered to fix car damage.   Defendant says he only made the repair offer out of friendship.  Plaintiff's estimate for car damage is $4,300.   Defendant's dealer estimate is less than $500.

Counter claim is that plaintiff stole clients in car business from defendant.   (this is when JJ says if Byrd could fit in her robe, he'd take her job in a heartbeat.  Nope, not unless he removed the lace collar).  There is no non-compete contract between the litigants, so that's out the window.   $500 to plaintiff, no mileage because they had no contract.

German Wirehaired Pointer Puppy Fail-Plaintiff suing defendant for return of deposit for German Wirehaired Pointer (GWP) puppy.   Plaintiff found GWP breeder through a friend, put down a deposit for a puppy from the defendant's next litter (63 days later), plus 8 weeks until release.   Deposit was $500 from plaintiff, and was paid.   Dog's pregnancy didn't take, but plaintiff decided on a refund, instead of waiting for the puppy.    Plaintiff never received check, and Pay Pal wasn't used either.    Defendant, despite saying she will return deposit, that deposit was non-refundable.

Counter claim is because plaintiff told the truth online about defendant's business practices (defendant is a real estate agent.   After this case I wouldn't use her).      Counter claim thrown out.

    Plaintiff will get $500.

I must say that defendant was damn sexy! 😅

I will have to say that Whoopie looks the best outside of the studio and that is because Whoopie does not put on alot of makeup on her face even in the studio.  She still looks the same after all of these years, her face is rounder due to gaining weight.

Lisa Ling looks awful and I was shocked. I hope my shallowness did not offend anybody on here.

I said the same thing about Ling. I was shocked at how bad she looked - again, maybe stress the past month or so?

As for Whoopie, when she first started out in the 80s she had big spacey teeth. She no longer does. Does anyone know when she had her teeth fixed and what was done to close all the gaps in between her teeth ? Whatever was done, her dentist did an incredible job.

  11. Catching up on the past few days...

I shut it off during Newt's interview. Sorry, he's not an interesting person to interview - he just isn't. I've seen him interviewed on other (news) shows as well; he's boring to listen to as he drones on. Not sure why he was there.

Today's episode (which was recorded yesterday) was just as dull. However, its interesting to see how these women look in their 'natural environment' without a team of make-up artists, hairdressers, and lighting techs:

Sorry to say that Lisa Ling has not aged well at all. Maybe she has a stressful life, or maybe it's genetic, but seeing her 'real self' from her home on Skype - she's not aged well at all. (Of course she would look better in-studio with a team of make-up artists, hair dressers, etc.)

Meghan  - WTH is going on with those eyebrows? Not quite sure why she was dressed in a black turtle-neck sweater and hat while sitting inside her apartment, but she needs to be advised by professionals.

I think Joy must've seen a recording of the episode she participated in on Monday, and decided 'no more'. I think she must've realized how terrible she looked without professionals, and how bad her audio was - and decided it's not worth it.

Jason Biggs - AGAIN ? I guess he's the "go-to" celebrity in NYC when they need filler. It used to be Mario Cantone (don't miss him AT ALL), and now it's Jason Biggs. Ughhhhhhh!

  12. Looks like Sara will be covering the show for a while, since her show with Straham and Keke has been pre-empted for COVID19 coverage every day.  I still say she moves permanently back in the hostess chair for The View before the season is over, replacing Abby.

5 p.m. episodes, first one new, second one a recent rerun-

    First (New)-

Never Say a Judge Made a Mistake-(I hope this makes sense, because it was a very confusing case)    Plaintiff suing his daughter's mother for the return of child support (daughter is 15).    A child support order was in effect, and there was an additional $274 a month for child care, however, So in 2015 the child support child care portion was ended, but it was retroactive to 2010 (or something like that) to pay for previous years that no child care was paid.          Plaintiff quit working in 2018, and has gone to court many times to get child support reduced, or eliminated.   In 2018 daughter was getting some money from plaintiff's Social Security, so child support was reduced by  $180 a month, until the over paid child care amount is paid back to plaintiff.

Plaintiff (I'll call him Mr. Deadbeat) wants extra money, because there were $17k of over payments, and that can't be paid back before daughter ages out.   My guess is that daughter and daddy won't have any relationship after this.      In 2018 child support went to zero, so Mr. Deadbeat isn't getting his extra money back.   And Mr. Deadbeat says the judge was wrong, and says it to JJ.  Mr. Deadbeat stopped working in 2014, claiming he's 'being disabled', but started a company then too.   Mr. Deadbeat admits to four trips to court to reduce or eliminate child support, defendant says

(Did I mention I loathe the plaintiff, Mr. Deadbeat?)

Plaintiff's witness stands up and interrupts.   JJ yells a "Sit" order loud enough that I bet every puppy watching this show just planted their fanny firmly on the floor.   Plaintiff's witness gets his stupid rear tossed.     Mr Deadbeat's case is tossed.  (By the way Mr. Deadbeat, child support is to support the child, not to bank it, especially at that minimal level of payments)

It was hard to follow, but I believe the plaintiff had a good case, and it was beyond Judge Judy's expertise for a half hour show. At one point she acknowledged he was owed $10,000 but she could only grant him $5,000 and he was fine with that - which pissed her off more.

From what I gathered, he was paying his child support every month on time, as well as child care. His baby-mama was collecting both, but then left her job to be a stay-at-him mom, and was STILL collecting child care - even though she was at home with her daughter. Apparently, their family judge understood this and awarded the plaintiff a refund going back a few years, since he essentially 'overpaid' in child care expenses which no longer existed.

Judge Judy doesn't like responsible fathers like this. She abhors entrepreneurs of any kind (she's prove this time and time again). She doesn't like disabled people, either. So he had three strikes against him, and she allowed the wife to 'double dip'.

  14. Some observations from that uneven show this morning...

    1. Joy, I believe, was on Skype or something like that. That's why her feed was so choppy and hard to understand. I believe Whoopi and Rahm had an actual camera feed from where they were - makes a huge difference. I noticed that last week with Whoopi, as her picture is so clear and her audio is as well.

    2. After a few weeks of having ob-gyn Jen Ashton, faux Dr, Phil, and cardiologist Dr. OZ on giving their medical expertise on COVID 19, Sarah and Whoopi said they are only listening to advice from epidemiologists - that's it!  See ya Jen, Mahmet and Phil - your advice is not wanted there any more.

    3. Congratulations to Meghan and Ben. Wonder if she's returning at all before November?

    4. I was to distracted by Rahm Emanuel's half middle finger than anything he was saying. And I like him very much - wish I could pay attention to him, but that finger was distracting.

    5. Looks like Sara made up with hair and makeup this morning. She must've apologized for her behavior which pissed them all off last week. He makeup and hair looked fine - even her wardrobe was fitting for a 25 year old, even though she's in her 40s. It's a step in the right direction.

    6. Joy looked horrible, and wouldn't shut up. I was happy to see her, but come on! Was she trying to take over the show because Meghan wasn't there ?

    7. Finally, as their viewers are laid off and struggling to make their rent and mortgage payments, I'm sure they are thrilled to know that they can decorate their backyards with bird houses that look like mini-mansions, and expensive bird feed. I'm sure the bank will appreciate that curbside appeal when they foreclose on their properties. Just clean up the pigeon droppings on your way out.

Procrastinate Now-Plaintiff suing brother and sister/defendants for missing and damaged property.    The litigants were all living together, and about a year ago there was a fight with the brother.   There was an order of protection against plaintiff, and it has since expired, and plaintiff wants her property back.    Plaintiff was given the right to go with a police escort to get her property back, a year ago, but plaintiff didn't pick up her property.      Plaintiff says she had no where to take or store her furniture.   Plaintiff's items were put in a back storage area, and plaintiff never picked her property up in over a year.

At the time of the argument, the plaintiff went in brother's room and destroyed his clothes.

Defendant says the TV plaintiff wants back belonged to defendant's boyfriend, and it was picked up long ago.     Defendants are counter suing for property damage, and harassment.  Defendants have nothing belonging to plaintiff.    Everything dismissed.

Damn her brother was sexy, until she let out at the end that he liked to wear her clothes which is why he stole them. Sorry Devon - I'll pass on that. LOL!

Between this family and the first family - I wish the producers of 'FAMILY FEUD' would sign them up for their show. Can't wait for Steve Harvey to question Devon - "So you like to dress up in your sister's clothes?"  Harvey would have plenty of fun with the other family, as well...

  16. Maybe Meghan will take over Carter's position as exec producer ? She can retitle the show "MY View...and Only Mine".

Is it coincidental that Behar took this week off while this was going on behind-the-scenes with Carter? From the timeline, it looks like Carter joined the show when Behar came back in 2015.  Wonder of Behar will come back full time - ever ?

Looks like today's show was recorded yesterday (the announcer called it an 'all new View', not 'The View is Live', and it said 'recorded earlier' in the left bottom corner).

As I said earlier, Sara pissed off someone in the hair & make-up room, as well as the wardrobe department. They're getting back at her by dressing her like a 10 year old, and dipping her in wax before she goes out.

  18. Ahhhhhh....Judge Judy made a few phone calls today. One was 'Joe' the mechanic, who concealed his identity to Judge Judy. She didn't like that! Sorry Judy, I do the same when some stranger calls my phone and addresses me by name - I always deny I'm the person, since I don't want to confirm to telemarketers.

  19. First of all, the idea of no studio audience makes the studio much quieter, of course. Which means, when Warren was on, I heard Whoopi whispering something about 'not the right time' for something - whether she was talking to someone in the room with her, or someone in the studio - I don't know, but it came through loud and clear to me. Same with the host who took a deep sigh when Meghan was talking on-camera. Someone took a deep sigh off-camera (Sunny? Sara? Whoopi?) which just showed me they had zero interest in what McCain had to say (can't blame them). This has happened before, too.

Second - who in God's name did Sara piss off in the make-up room this week,  that they are playing this horrible trick on her? Let's face it - she looked like she was dipped in wax today, before she took her seat. her face was pale and shiny - what is going on ??? And the hairdresser decided to join the make-up artist and give her that awful hair style (if you want to call it that). Sorry Sara - someone doesn't like you there.

Not to beat this to death, but I see it was mentioned again on today's show.  Yes, it's a lovely gesture, but I hope they spare us the complaints and the "Who's crying now?" when these businesses go belly-up and their benevolent dollars are lost.  You know it's coming.

"WAAAAAA - I spent $200 on these cards and now they're no good.  They left me high and dry."  There's not a restauranteur or small business owner who's strapped to the max who will say "I CAN'T go out of business...Sara bought all these gift cards and she'll be disappointed."  Not gonna' happen.

Patronize them while they're open.  Even buy some extra To Go meals and pop them in the freezer for future use.,  Win-Win.

Exactly! Even in my city there's a push to buy 'gift cards' now from small restaurants, and use them later. I disagree, because chances are the restaurant won't be around 'later' - many of them close abruptly when the economy is great, as the industry itself is tough and very competitive. Not going to take that chance. If anything, I will be buying take-out from them as often as possible.

OK, I'll explain what REALLY happened here...

This is when Jarvis did indeed say, "Stop pushing that Oprah shit on your show because your viewers should put that $85 towards their  mortgage or rent instead of Oprah's favorite beeswax candle".

Meghan snapped her head to producer Brian, to see if he was going to shut Jarvis up,  because Meghan knows 'View Your Deal' pays the salaries around there, with all the kickbacks they get from each product sold. And no way is Meghan going to throw a tantrum every day on the show without getting paid!

  23. I was intrigued with the Jarvis segment where she was warning everyone about a possible recession on the horizon, and how hard it's going to be financially for average Americans who are trying to make ends meet, but have jobs which have been cut due to closures.

I just wish she would have ended it with:

"So next time this show is trying to sell you 'Oprah's favorite bubble bath' half off the regular price  for the incredible price of $99,  and her favorite spa robe at just $200 regular $600, don't fall for this shit! Just keep that $300 in a savings account and don't spend it on this Garage Sale crap! Oprah's robe and bath bubbles won't pay your bills for you! "

  24. Today's episode had to be one of the very worst in a long time. Sunny was a competent moderator, but the whole show was off without Goldberg and Behar. They need to go on hiatus for the next month or so.  Observations:

    1. The set-up: It looks like each host is at war with each other, the way they are sitting so far apart from each other at that new table. Yes, I get they need to be six feet away, but that's not the way to have conversations with each other on television. What will next week bring? Will they be Skyping with each other?

    2. Sarah is obviously auditioning to come back and take Abby's seat. And whoever's doing her make-up, please give up the job. You're making her look like a senior in high school on the cheerleading team. She's too old for that look.

    3. Dr. OZ was as boring and dull as ever, He brought nothing of interest to the table during such an important medical crisis. And he doesn't look too healthy giving health advice.

    4. The Governor's call-in segment went on far too long. Talk about dull and uninteresting. WOW!

    5. What's left to say about Meghan ? She's over-caffeinated and needs producer Brian to shoot her with a tranquilizer dart from six feet away, every twenty minutes. I'm out of breath listening to her, and get dizzy watching her.

Please, ABC - put this show on hiatus for the next few months until things calm down.
