  1. As a Cincinnatian, I was eager to watch the 20-something’s house hunting. I really wanted to know where their purchased house was. I live in a first ring suburb (older and closer to the urban areas they prefer) and my commute would be 15-20 minutes to northern Kentucky. I can also avoid highways if necessary. I will say they seem well-matched: they share a lack of personality and poor posture. Got the feeling their realtor’s lack of knowledge about the city impeded their search.
  2. I just saw what I think is a new Subaru commercial (or it could be really old and I never noticed it). It was the Golden Lab family dropping the kids and all their other dog teammates off for soccer practice!
  3. 10 Minutes in and I want to smack the s..t out of the mom! Buy the house you want. Maybe acrossl the country so her visits are few and far between. I hope she buys the house she wants and tells her mom to stay in a hotel when she visits. Sorry, not sure how to edit. This is the one from Greenville SC. And, what's the obsession with fireplaces? I think they can be aesthically pleasing, but I live in Ohio and we never use ours. I just look at them as taking up wall space.
  4. I can’t bring myself to watch these shows but enjoy reading the snark. As a middle-aged mother of 2 adult children I have to comment. When I was 12 an extended family member became pregnant. She chose to terminate the pregnancy. At that time my mom sat me down and said, while she didn’t agree with premarital sex, she wasn’t going to be naive and if I found myself sexually active when I was older I WOULD get on birth control. That conversation stayed with me forever. WTF are these nitwits getting pregnant in 2018?!?!?!?! Birth control is readily available. They should ALL be using condoms to prevent STD’s and they need to stop pretending that some high school romance is going to turn into the love story for the ages. Learn to co-parent and stay in school. And for the love of Brutus why is the “A” word never mentioned. And I’m talking, ADOPTION!!!!!! Oh; and McKayla or however your name is spelled, there are more than 2 types of birth control on the market. Go visit Planned Parenthood. They’re a great educational resource....... Rant Over
  5. One of the things I tell couples expecting a baby is: Don't get caught up in a plan. Expect the unexpected and don't be rigid about your labor and delivery! What. Insufferable. Morons!!!! When I had my first baby I knew she was on the small side and with my generous breeder hips I thought I'd have no problems with her delivery. After 23 hours of back labor I accepted the fact that the only way I was going to have a baby was via C-Section. She arrived with an infection (probably due to the length of labor) and couldn't/wouldn't nurse. I became engorged and the only relief was through pumping. She stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks and I pumped and froze the milk the entire time. I think these self-absorbed, smug hipsters live their lives for very unspiritual compliments. They don't give awards in the hospital to women just for having a natural birth. The goal is a healthy baby. Period. I would be a raging alcoholic if I had to spend any time with these two.
  6. Holy Schmolkes! That young bride from Texas looked 10 years older than she supposedly was. I would think if you’re going to travel all the way to New York to get a wedding dress you would have at least tried on some dresses back home to get SOME idea of what you like and what silhouette looks good on her. Also, who tries on dresses without a bra?! Those puppies needed support! So, in general I think that was completely made up situation and she already had a dress bought and altered back home. But the other brides were just lovely. I thought circus bride would be too petite for the dress she picked but it looked wonderful on her! And I loved third bride and her family. No unnecessary drama or bickering. Just people who love each other. Rant Over
  7. I know I'm going to catch hell for this, but here goes. Why the hell do none of these girls/and their families EVER consider adoption?!?!? I realize this particular show wouldn't exist if they did choose adoption, but I've just had enough of these immature, unskilled nitwits giving birth when they are just children. Do their parents not tell them ANYTHING about safe sex? STD's are a very real and scary possibility if you have unprotected sex. Planned Parenthood exists to provide great information and birth control. Those moms who are now going to be young grandmothers should be ashamed of themselves! It's not enough to lecture your daughters on how difficult it was. Taking them to the freaking doctor and get them on Norplant or an IUD to avoid this situation. And to all those who want to cut Mckayla's (?) birth mom some slack: stop it! That woman is 30-somehing going on 13. The kindest thing she could do for her daughter is go away.
  8. Ditto on the psychiatrist vs. therapist. That's pretty much the standard for medication and talk therapy. From personal experience, I'd say it's quite helpful to always do the talking part and be open-minded to the use of medication. Therapists will often work with an internist of psychiatrist when considering meds. When I look at Adam and his bulging eyes I keep thinking maybe he's got some thyroid issues going on which would complicate any other issues like depression and fatigue. He seems to be a pretty "traditional" guy in a very "manly man" part of the country so I get his reluctance to get help. I don't think he's that different from most guys. I would probably never sleep a wink if I had multiples. The financial burden alone would cause me to have panic attacks on a daily basis.
