  1. To me, 11x21 seems like it will mostly take place away from GSMH. My theory is Derek suggests he and Meredith go on a road trip/vacation away from GSMH. He's trying to fix his marriage, so it makes sense that they would go for some alone time. The only people we know for sure were on set during the filming of this episode were EP and PD. Everyone else was radio silent/no BTS pictures. Also seems like they were on location almost every day. Also, this season parallels S4 in many ways. Derek wanted to take Meredith on a getaway then, so maybe they actually go. They can't go on a getaway without major drama though, since this is Shondaland. My guess is they either witness or come across an accident, then decide to help out. PD was on location. They would have shot the accident on a green screen most likely, and if he was lying there injured, as someone mentioned, I don't think he would have needed to miss two races for filming. I think he's actually in the field, saving lives. Someone said the media was on set for 11x21. That's actually wrong. They were on set for 11x20.
  2. I hope that the episode title holds true, and the episode ends with Amelia and Derek making amends. In the promo, Derek sounds mature/like he seriously has no intentions of stealing Amelia's job. It's Amelia who needs convincing. I honestly think Derek is back in Seattle with the intent to fix his marriage and family, along with his relationship with his sister.
  3. Lots of babies. Now I'm wondering if Geena's character is an OB-GYN. Definitely a Neuro case involving both Derek and Amelia. Dr. Kelly has made them the go-to hospital for neurological intervention, and the only doctor on the west coast performing this procedure. Seems to describe Derek, not Amelia. Amelia's great, but it's Derek who was the main Neuro attraction at GSMH. Dr. Kelly stops him and tells him one more word and they’ll head straight to plastics in order to surgical remove Dr. Graham’s lips from his ass. Yet that doesn't sound like Derek, IMO. It sounds like something Amelia would say.
  4. I still think they'll parallel the Meredith/Derek and Richard/Ellis storylines again. Shonda likes to do that whenever she can.
  5. You might be onto something. It also reminded me vaguely of what Meredith and Derek are going through right now (aside from the fact that they're married and there's not a third party involved), though Meredith did say she'd go to D.C. with Derek and then went back on her decision. Though, there have been parallels between the Meredith/Derek and Ellis/Richard storyline throughout the entire series. Meredith and Derek are basically what Ellis wanted her and Richard to become. "We can be extraordinary together rather than ordinary apart."
  6. They switch the genders up all the time in the sides. The fighting could also be Meredith and Derek, since they're going to be on the rocks probably. If we take the sides literally, well, they did have a dog together that died, so it's possible. Who knows. Sides tend to mix scenarios up all the time just for the sake of being confusing (or they get changed/omitted). They can be red herrings. It sounds like a lot of neuro/ortho in 11.3, though. Not surprising, since there was a casting call for people with missing limbs recently, so it's probably Callie unless Derek stays since I don't think he'll be working on her research in D.C. That's entirely separate. Also, he recommended Amelia to Callie, so perhaps Amelia will work with Callie on the sensors.
  7. https://twitter.com/jessicacapshaw/status/494310102761877504 I think the Eric/Rita patient is Arizona and Maggie. Re-reading, the doctor in the Jeannie/Majorie side sounds a lot like Meredith.
  8. Patrick and Shonda both confirmed that the table read is Tuesday, and Patrick said it's for episodes 1 and 2. I wonder if it's a two part premiere, even though the premiere will only be one hour. So we'll get part one on September 25th and part two on October 2nd.
  9. I've been thinking this for a long time, long before Amelia actually returned and was made a regular. Amelia and Meredith actually have more in common than Cristina and Meredith did, in my opinion. I don't think it's possible to replace Cristina, but Amelia can fill a bit of a void. Amelia and Meredith have very similar life experiences as well. They've both lost friends (Amelia's friend died on PP), Derek has held them both dead (Derek revived Amelia after she OD'd), they've both lost a baby (Amelia's baby was born without a brain), and the list goes on. I look forward to seeing them bond more.
  10. I hated Cardio with Cristina, so I can only imagine how much I'll hate it without her. The only perk was her sarcasm. So I'm going to hold onto hope that the cases change. I'm not interested in this Maggie character at all, outside of how she'll affect Meredith and Richard.
  11. Mmm, nothing too excited. Personally, I'm hoping the Rita/Eric side is actually a Neuro case, since Amelia is a regular and Maggie is just a guest star. I hope she won't get too much focus, outside of being Meredith's half-sister and Richard's daughter. Alternatively, I wonder if the pregnancy storyline will somehow parallel to whatever Jackson and April are going through with their pregnancy. It could also parallel to Calzona, who are attempting surrogacy (which Shonda has basically said isn't going to work out). Regardless, these sides don't give us much to go off. They're just ordinary patient storylines, and none of the doctors' actions stand out like in previous sides.
  12. I'm very excited to hear Amelia is a regular. She was my favorite on Private Practice. She's by far an improvement to any of the interns. Amelia is an interesting character all by herself. Very smart move in adding her to the cast, IMO. Now, NO MORE additions, I hope. Down three, up one, so the cast is the same size it was in season eight. That was manageable. Plus, Amelia already has a background. Viewers already know more about Amelia than Stephanie and Jo combined. I hope Richard's daughter is only temporary. The Head of Cardio position is jinxed anyway. Shonda herself has said it's the DADA position of Grey's Anatomy.
