I'm confused about the Arya scene. Or rather it's placement. I remember there was a point in season 2 where I thought they'd changed her storyline and cut out what we saw tonight. Or I could be completely off base. I only read the books once and my memory is not that great. I looks like I'll have to re-read, because I don't recall the gold line.As for shae, I cannot figure out what they're doing with her. She acts like a modern woman, not someone aware that she's in danger, and I can't figure out what she realistically thinks Tyrion can give her. I get so frustrated with her. So annoying. And so different from the mercenary Shae in the books.

On the cold open, I marathoned season 3 in the last few days, and a couple episodes had it as well.I still can't believe the wait is over. So many call backs to seasons 1 and 2, I'm thinking I should have watched the entire series over. It broke my heart seeing Neds sword melted down. Arya is getting scary cold. Glad her targets so far are all bad people. I hope that doesn't change. Love her and the hound on the road. Jamie looked so different. I miss his longer hair. Shae drives me crazy. Her modern day attitudes make me want to slap her. What exactly does she expect Tyrion to do? She's going to get them both killed.

I marathoned this show. The first two seasons were so much better than this one, which is just becoming both dull and silly. B-52 is so boring, I just cannot care. And the characters are all starting to talk in the method AnnLaw78 points out -- staccato, overly dramatic, and in short bursts. It's silly. I like Mellie. Olivia has lost all of her power as a fixer, a mover and shaker. She's just the mistress now. Having the gang scour budgets to find the source of B-52's funding is also silly -- the budgets are all public, and the money for a black ops outfit like B-52 wouldn't appear in a line item. (I call it B-52 because I can never remember all those numbers, sorry, Shonda.)
