  1. Meghan keeps liking tweets that explicitly insult her coworkers and she wonders why she doesn't have a great working relationship with them. She has complained about the lack of bipartisanship in Congress...perhaps people insulting moderate Republicans as Fake Republicans doesn't help the situation?
  2. Jefferson was actually not that great of a writer, despite people saying he is. He also heavily plagiarized John Locke
  3. Meghan's comment about things being "off-the-record" made no sense at all. First off, asking for an off-the-record conversation doesn't mean you can blow up on reporters. And secondly, someone like Pompeo who is constantly interacting with reporters knows that you discuss if you want a conversation off-the-record, you discuss the disclosure details beforehand.
  4. I just don't understand how Sunny keeps calling herself "Pro-Life." The pro-life movement is about advocating against the practice of abortion and its legality. I do agree that she is actually more conservative than she is given credit for.
  5. Meghan has said before that she views politics as a game of winning or losing, and so to voluntarily choose to do something that you can't get "done" (i.e., impeachment and removal) means that the democrats "lose" and republicans "win." That's my guess as to why she thinks the way that she does.
  6. Haven't all the hosts on the view literally said before something along the lines of "this person should have spoken to this person privately, personal feuds shouldn't be made public, this person is shady for leaking" etc.? And they get all pissed about staff leaking to the media instead of confronting them in person? I don't see how this Warren-Sanders feud is any different. They're both using their fans & the media to fight their battle for them instead of confronting each other and dealing with it themselves.
  7. But like...Meghan grew up in Arizona with millionaire parents, so Sara is right? Like no true midwesterner would be EVER be as rude as Meghan.
  8. I don't know, that wasn't ignorance so much as literally making no sense at all. Ignorant people are at least coherent in their ignorance. It came off to me like she was high or something.
  9. Thank you for the explanation! I actually meant when did Meghan try to get someone fired for liking a tweet. Who would hate on Sara, she's the sweetest person ever!
  10. Oh gosh...seeing the posts here make me not want to watch the episode. I am not looking forward to another year of the same questions to the candidates.
  11. When did this happen? For someone who hates snowflakes, she seems so easily triggered.
  12. She's not even trying to hide it anymore...I mean, she could at least not publicly like mean subtweets about her own coworkers. Say what you will about Abby, she at least had the basic decency not to air out her grievances with her coworkers on social media.
  13. I didn't see it yet, but from what I heard from comments and Abby herself, the scene with her was like her on Fox & Friends, crossing her legs to show a bit of leg-I guess to show how female reporters on Fox News were expected to sexualize themselves? It's sad because if you look up "Abby Huntsman bombshell" on youtube you'll find these compilations of her on Fox News from 2-3 years ago, and the comments are...ugh. The difference between how she was styled on the View and how she was styled on Fox News is like night and day.
  14. Exactly. Also, it's a matter of legal precedent. So when a future president does something similar, we can look back on this case and show that there is a case for someone getting impeached for that behavior. But if we don't impeach, then we're setting the example that presidents can bribe foreign officials and get away with it.
  15. This. Every parent and grandparent I know hates the royal family because of what happened to Diana.
  16. ...Seriously? That happened? How has this woman survived to adulthood?
  17. Probably. That's a lot for any person to do, much less a cohost on one of the most widely syndicated shows in the nation. And I do admire her and think she does a great job generally, especially from what I hear about how she engages with the audience between takes.
  18. Is it just me or has the discussion really declined in quality recently? I'm starting to get really frustrated, even with Sunny. The main things that annoyed me about The View today: Them having yet another discussion about healthcare that was devoid of any real substance. Whoopi and Yang. Enough said. The entire Buttigieg thing. Specifically, seeing Meghan "Kaepernick is unpatriotic" McCain and Abby "Kaepernick is responsible for police killings" Huntsman act as if they actually cared about dismantling systemic racism. Nothing about this controversy makes any sense and the fact no one pointed that out was...disappointing. The whole "Warren falls in the polls" story felt super shady to me. As someone who reads about polls regularly, no one with a decent understanding of them would say that voters are not supporting Warren JUST because of "Medicare-for-All." I know this forum is not about politics, so I won't get into details, but again...disappointing. Sunny used to be the one person that would do research and bring up important points, but lately I feel like even she is not bringing up counterpoints like she used to.
  19. Didn't she come on the show pretty soon after her father was diagnosed with brain cancer?
  20. I've gotten a bit frustrated with this show lately with their political discussion. There's so many times where someone (mostly Meghan, but others too) make huge blanket statements about politics that are just completely wrong. I wish they had an actual expert on political science and U.S. history as a host who would correct them, because it's getting increasingly frustrating hearing misstatement after misstatement being said and never corrected. But then again...it's the View, not PBS.
  21. I think Meghan really needs to take a break. I feel like she's still not over the death of her father, and she's taking out her anger over her father's situation by arguing with everyone. I went through kind of a similar thing when my brother passed, and the only way I got over it was avoiding tense situations that would make me upset. Maybe I'm naive and she is just doing this all for ratings, but I can't help but wonder. She just seems so completely different on the show in 2009. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qbZuYqa_8g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imlnuB2JLl8
  22. Yessss. Especially Whoopi, she doesn't even make sense when she talks about Yang, she just makes a bunch of meaningless statements.
