Now why would Shred be interested in a low-life freeloader who blatantly steals food and gets into other people's drinks? That did not make sense to me at all. Like you see that and that is who sparks your romantic interest? 🤔

Well, the finale sounds really good at least. And Ogechi is something Chukwuemeka and Kemi always had to address, so it is good the show doesn't shy away from that.

Abishola suddenly being so agreeable with everything is just weird
It is not sudden. There were many episodes focusing on Dele's undeniable desire to be a dancer and they clashed over it many times. Whenever they argued about anything, Abishola always lost and had to give in to Dele in the end - just think of the haircut fiasco - it seems she learned with time to just be supportive and leave it at that. Which, I don't think she should do. I still think Dele's dream to be a dancer is extremely stupid. There are so many viable career options that would provide a better future and he goes for that? And Abishola doesn't stop him? Pathetic. But I know this is a feel good TV show, so whatever.

Interesting.
I based my comment from this quote from Gadd, "I honestly couldn’t speak as to whether she would watch it. Her reactions to things varied so much that I almost couldn’t predict how she’d react to anything. She was quite an idiosyncratic person. We’ve gone to such great lengths to disguise her to the point that I don’t think she would recognize herself. What’s been borrowed is an emotional truth, not a fact-by-fact profile of someone," he said."
Yeah it is interesting because I ready that interview yesterday and then it turned out he didn't change that much. I think in this case we have to take into account that PR people probably told him what to say in interviews.

I'm about two or three in so far. She is scary and he's essentially an enabler regardless if he felt sorry for her or not. Jessica Gunning is doing a really good job with the role. I'm really curious about the real "Martha". I've read that Gadd said he wrote her with so many differences that the real "Martha" probably wouldn't recognize herself.
This is not that true, the real Martha has been identified. She is still active on facebook and she is not that different. Even the casting is close to what she looks like.

Frank was super cute in this episode with his enthusiasm towards settling down and monogamy. Too bad it didn't work out with that woman.

Do adults really do that "I like you LIKE you" thing? I thought everyone in this episode was acting like an idiot tween.
This year the actress playing Nell starred as the lead in the romantic comedy "Players" (which I liked enough to watch twice) and in that one they also use this "like him LIKE him" lingo. So I guess it is something Gina Rodriguez carries around with her.

I know I always write about how this show is the highlight of my entire existence but like come on now! That trailer was so good! Watching Penelope work on her confidence like that!? Yes please! Eloise becoming friends with Cressida just to spite Penelope? And the production value of it all? Hell yes. Give it to me all. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

I had a really hard time understanding most of what the grandma said. I wish I had subtitles.

Oh wow, what a strong episode. I loved all the alpha / dominance fights between Frank and the teacher. And it was so funny when he joked that Patel eats like a dog or something along those lines.
The Bethany - Shred subplot was entertaining as well, and it made perfect sense with both of their characters.
They are writing season 2 very well so far.

Watching this episode, I started questioning if the network told the showrunners to make the show more "male appealing" or something like that, there were a lot more male characters in this episode compared to what the show used to have, and they were getting a lot of the screen time as well.
I still feel that Lexi's dad is a waste of screen time and not fun to watch, unless when the show deals with Lexi's daddy issues. Yet, we are subjected to watch him so much. That is bad tv.
And Nell...do we really need to give her a romance? What for? It's so whatever. Her emotional journey with Phillip last season was a lot more emotionally impactful than whatever they are doing here.
The one good part of the episode was Nell trying to follow the dating advice, and gathering advice from social media. That was funny. The rest....not so much. And this show used to be so entertaining.

The showrunner teased the following things as upcoming storylines in season 4 in a new interview:
Spoiler- The grays don't just let the stolen baby be taken away from them, they will want to get it back
- D'arcy will continue being a loose cannon
- Kate will continue to be regularly abducted and we are going to learn more about why that happens and what the Greys are trying to get out of it
- Joseph will probably still be included
- At some point, Heather will be back
- Big Black will trust Liv more, their dynamic is going to change
- The Mantid alien will kill someone and cause mayhem in Patience

They must be really confident about that season 4 renewal because this episode opened up a bunch of new storylines without concluding many at all.

It also made no sense. Sure, Bob said it in the heat of the moment, but he already started another business and it was a success. It is time for him to rest. No need to start another company.

I really appreciate that all through the season (so far) they are writing Bob & Abishola as such a cute couple who really get along well. Like in today's episode their scene of thinking about moving to Italy was so sweet but also funny. And it was surprising to see Abishola encourage Bob to relax instead of being productive.

Malcom was really completely stupid in this episode and that was out of character for him, he is usually smarter than that. On the flipside, at least Marty's baby mama was not in the episode. They really don't know how to write the kids dating stories in a good way.
Trey had the best lines in the episode.

So many thoughts about this episode. It was really good.
The best part was that little kid calling Frank a bitch for walking on the sidewalk 😅 And Shred is just okay with that, he is the protector of the neighborhood. Niceeeeeeeee

With that fight scene I was like what is that, did they want to give all the cast and more minor characters on extra scene to film or what?

Ugh. That 20 seconds was better than my entire year so far. This show is on another level.

Ebun had the status of being a well-known host in her home country. If she valued that so much, she should have stayed there instead of stealing her sister's thing. I liked that Abishola called out Ebun's bs at least.
Abishola being happy about being mistreated by her mom was a really cute touch.

I really liked the break-up scene and emotionally devastated Harry. And that deep fight between Asta and the red haired one. That is quality television and the acting was on point.🤯

I love the way Jacob and Melissa's friendship has shaken up dynamics. The way he chimed into Melissa and Barbara's conversation today felt appropriate because of that.

This was a really good episode. Frank being upset that the office didn't do anything for his pneumonia was funny 😆 And so was when he missed the stop sign.
I am not sure where they are going with Templeton's character.

Oh wow, the 2 dead people really were an extremely minor part of this episode. It doesn't really bother me, but the people on here pointing it out made it very noticeable.
The Edward - Lexi storyline was really fun. It was great when in the end Nell looked like the obsessed one. I don't think we need to see Lexi's dad not in relation to her. He is not that interesting. It seems like he was inserted into the show while Cricket was greatly removed. But Cricket was more fun than he is.

S02.E09/S02.E10: Not The End Yet/Not A Ghost Yet
in Not Dead Yet
LoL Nell pretending that Edward remembered her birthday was so cute. It was nice to see her in such a cheerful state.
