Is Sara Ramirez non-binary or just her character?
-
Face it, Carrie had the affair with Big to validate her own insecurities. She was furious that Big never wanted to marry her but proposed to Natasha. She rationalised it with the whole 'complicated girl' argument to dismiss Natasha as pretty but dim. Then when she got the chance she had the affair- then she felt she had won after all. To be honest I find Natasha a far more interesting character than Carrie- she showed strength dignity and kindness throughout. Would love to see Natasha spin-off.😄

And just like that... Carrie reminds us what a shitty person she is. Stalking Natasha and refusing to respect her boundaries... again. Seriously Natasha is a bloody saint! In her shoes I wouldn't have given Carrie the time of day. The fact that the first half of the episode was a rehash of a previous one was also rather jarring. But mostly dismissing Charlotte's concerns about Miranda (a mini party in her back pack, really????) even though Miranda drops everything to support her through her grief. Asking Charlotte to stop noticing things was the shittiest comment possible. Carrie was always a selfish friend and after 20 years she clearly hasn't changed. PS isn't Gogi the computer password? It seemed so obvious.

Yes but I thought they were specifically protecting Bran as Three Eyed Raven in Waiting and friend of the Forest. There's such a contrast between the North and the South that it feels the northerners are Children of the Forest and the South is the conquering force. They even have opposing gods.

Didn't they show the Children of Men creating the Walkers to fight the First Men? Now they're shown as united against them- I am confused. ETA: in the show at least. Pretty dramatic reveal to them switch and show them fighting together. With all this food situation I have a feeling Dany might try to steal the Winterfell supplies. And I am clearly the only one on these forums who doesn't like the dragons. They eat children. I was rooting for Bronn against Drogon.

I just thought I saw his head bandage and then his dad was talking about the open door policy which was a present time thing? The whole time shift is a problem for me. There are times where it shifts in seconds and I am so busy working out the when that the emotional impact of the show disappears. It feels more of a murder mystery than the unravelling of a vulnerable girl which is a shame- and this whole posturing driving around in each other's cars broodily is too much. It reminds me of that old horror film with Elijah Wood and Josh Hartnett and Jon Stewart where the high school students are possessed by water aliens and walk around all zombie-like. So far the only poignant part (for me) is Hannah' s devastated mother.

Ok just catching up with this show now. Was Clay masturbating to the picture of Hannah and Courtney after listening to the tape??? That is just twisted. So far curious about the whole thing but getting increasingly frustrated about this whole tape back and forth thing. It's just rather gimmicky.

I didn't get bad vibes between the husband and wife either. I like fact that she joked he deserved to get laid for making pancakes and the way he immediately stopped and wanted to make sure she was ok when she freaked out during sex, rather than being grumpy and frustrated. I also got rapist/stalker vibes from 117 guy. She seemed really freaked out when she found her FB profile on his laptop. I like the show- the characters work for me (although agree police chief was acting odd and dismissive re the trailer) and I am intrigued to see where it goes. I watched all three episodes in a row and really want to watch the next one.

Yes he is creepy.

When will they announce casting?

I don't think it's the storyline. I thought his storyline with Angelique was relevant in the long run as it was meant to lull us in a false sense of romance. They were a sweet pair, he defended her honour, threw her a ball etc which should have made her murder a shock and a massive shift for the character. It should have been THE moment where we truly saw Dorian's amorality and coldness. Instead there was no difference in range and paired with Lily who positively radiates menace he looks like a silly little boy. Through the two seasons all the characters have grown and gained in depth. The idea that Dorian is so fascinating that everyone, man or woman, falls under his spell just doesn't work for me. The actor hasn't grown in range at all unlike all the others.

Actually Ethan said it this season when he was telling Vanessa the story about riding his father's horse as a child.

I agree. I feel that in a weird way there are each other's guardian angels. Ultimately Caliban is looking for acceptance. This season he was confronted with horror- if the Putneys weren't bad enough it turns out his ideal mate is even more of a monster than they were. This is why he decides to run away- he's given up on life until his meeting with Vanessa. He still leaves but not without hope and friendship which all he's always wanted. God that scene really moved me.

Yes he shot her after she called him a 'grubby little boy' or something to that effect. I suppose in his defence the only (dubious) redeeming factor is that he knew at that point she was a 'monster' as opposed to the sweet little corpse bride he believed her to be.

Well that was bright and cheerful.... Vanessa's scene with Caliban was heartbreaking. Everyone was just so sad. And then we have Dorian. Sigh. Lily is so malevolent and strong that she made him look like a silly little boy (not helped by the outfit and the bad hair). When Lily was taunting Victor I was horrified. When Dorian did I cringed. If he is meant to be the Devil's brother on earth (as suggested by the painting and Vanessa's possession last series) he better step up a bit. Right now he is as annoying as the smug f*cking inspector. Nice touch as Caliban was walking away from the Putneys' was hearing Lavinia's horrified screams when she no doubt stepped on her mother's head. So is Lily going to go after Caliban or will she lose interest now that she has Dorian? I can see her furious that he left without her knowledge. She clearly had plans for him. I think Caliban will be Vanessa's saviour.
