  1. They need to take a long break between seasons. Bring back the first impression guess. Have singers perform more than 3 times to make it to the finals. Wait until famous people sign on

I know Cheyenne from 30 Rock, which is the same as not knowing him. I know the Goldbergs girl from maybe promos on ABC, so I also don't know her. Teyana is at least someone I know. Her body is more famous than she is, as they frequently compare her to Janet in her prime. She seems to invite Janet comparisons.
She is also in Coming 2 America (that's the sequel) as the prince's betrothed.

  2. I can't find the post, but it asks why Madison was talking about the stripper art at her bachelorette party.

I recently rewatched the episode of her bachelorette. The stripper asks if they would like to paint him fully nude, or in his boxers. Rebecca proudly responded "the former"

It was a funny moment and the kinda lighthearted memory you share at such an occasion. Maybe after the kids are in bed.

Once thing I'm confused about in regards to Deja being pregnant, if this episode was 10 years from the present, why is she only now getting pregnant for the first time and the first of Randall's kids having a baby? You would think within those 10 years, Deja at least would have had a baby before then given she was at least 18 in our present. If she became a doctor as I recall, maybe going to med school and establishing herself had her put off motherhood

My dad has 4 daughters. None of us gave him a grandkid until my middle sister turned 32. Next sister had her first baby at 36. I'm the youngest and doing fertility treatments at the moment.

Also, Tess is queer, so accidental pregnancies are unlikely. These are Gen Z characters, they are theoretically going to have babies even later than Millennials (like my sisters) do. Annie would be about 21. So that's pretty obvious to me why she hadn't reproduced.

Deja's 28 or 29. Happy accident, but not too early nor surprisingly late.

I am completely embarrassed to say this but I was getting Malik and Marcus jumbled up as in who is Deja’s baby daddy.

We all did, it was intentional

  5. Beth's goodbye to Rebecca, as 2022 Beth and then 2000 Beth both made me so happy and so sad. I ugly cried HARD. When she said "I've got it from here" (paraphrased) regarding taking care of Randall. I just couldn't hold it together. I had to pause to cry.

Dulé Hill is always welcome on my screen. I thought they'd tie to Edie somehow. But hated the fakeout with "who was Deja with?"

All the normal stuff made me cry too, seeing William, Dr K, having the 3 versions of the Pearson kids on the train. Kate being late made me cry. The 4 square made me cry. Look, I'm a Pisces.

I always wondered how they'd handle Miguel and Jack both waiting for her in the "afterlife" or train. I think it was a tad lopsided, but made sense to me.

  6. That reunion was emotional. Jason and Brett were so upset that Chrishell and Jason didn't work out.

Very upsetting to hear Maya had a stillborn at 38 weeks. Breaks my heart.

Chrishell's new love interest was one hell of a plot twist.

  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the twins who play Leo are girls. So "I'm a girl!" Was probably an easy line to get a 3 year old to say. But, also makes me think they are going to stick with Leo and this storyline as long as the show lives.

Three year olds both play pretend and also start to have a sense of their identity. It's all about just loving on your kid and taking their lead.

I hate Winston because who buys stuff BEFORE TESTING IT?

Winston got free samples. Wendell bought the stuff before testing it. Wendell looked so much like Bailey's favorite intern I thought my edible was playing tricks on me.

Winston's brother is an idiot for just buying up a product without testing it. But did I hear right that he's only out $10,000? I know that can be a lot for some people, but it is not really an insane amount a debt compared to what it could have been.

Wendell very clearly said the loan was "not from a bank" aka he likely used a loan shark and is now in danger. That was the stress on Winston's face. It's not debt. It's "pay 10k to keep your brother safe."

Right! and that made me applaud when Mere kind of went off on that Nick dude. I also felt it was like Ellen Pompeo personally saying -- I want to quit but all the people involved with the show are guilting me into staying! Haha!

I said out loud in my empty apartment "That's Ellen Pompeo saying these lines. NOT Meredith Grey!"

Bye Bailey's intern, glad you weren't a totally crazy stalker.

Totally misread this scene. It felt like she was fake firing him. The acting was so stiff that I couldn't read the room. I thought she only did it so Catherine would storm out or something and give her some privacy. Debbie was the only one acting human in that scene.

I was going to say something about Kelly McCreary's (Maggie) cheeks looking like she had work done. But I forgot she's breastfeeding and that's probably how her cute lil face gains weight.

Oof. I'm 52 and I thought Randall looked a decade older than that, at a minimum.

Sterling is quoted as saying "have you ever seen a Black man in his 50s?" Because they don't age like that. Black 50 year olds usually look exactly the same as Black 40 year olds. A sprinkle of grey in his beard is all they need.

Justin also disagreed with his aging makeup in the first episode he shows up at the 2032 family thing. He said "Kevin would age like Clooney" (the movie star, not the cat)

So the actors agree with us.

  10. Rest well, Miguel. We love ya.

Mike Rivers' part really made me laugh. (Because he told them his real name seconds after he was given the job. He outsmarted them and kept the job)

Because Kate's morbid obesity is not genetically based but rather caused by a lifelong eating disorder, overeating (binge eating) as a response to her emotions.

Also, if we recall, it spiraled after her abortion. Many times one trauma is enough to trigger morbid obesity in a person who didn't inherit it genetically. She had three in 2 years. Dad dies, abusive boyfriend, abortion.

There's a doctor who studies weight gain in people who aren't predisposed to obesity. He found an astonishing number of his morbidly obese clients were molested as children. While that (fortunately!) does not appear to be the case with Kate (it is the case with Chrissy), the traumas she did experience could trigger it as well.

    More info here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3961565/

But also, Camryn Manheim is her great aunt. The family isn't all twigs

  12. I couldn't care less about Kirstie these days. But I adored her growing up. She and John Travolta leave me so conflicted. My favorite movies as a kid starred them, and they aren't the person I have frozen in my mind. (It Takes Two and Grease, respectively)

She did DWTS, so yes, she's the exact type of person to do this show. Her breathing sounded like mine when I had long-haul covid. Just so much effort for oxygen! I'm not implying she had covid, just noting her breathing sounded strained.

I feel like we are supposed to think the exact opposite.  I’ve said it before but I don’t think Kate is supposed to be as heavy as Chrissy.

Oh, I feel the same. My quote was taken out of context. I said earlier Kate is 210 pounds and Chrissy is 400. That's the way I watch the show now. Makes it easier to ignore the accommodations she'd need at her real size.

I am really excited for Miguel's story next week. Took way too long.

Boogieburns, I think just the opposite.  Chrissy mentioned in an interview that she was wearing prosthetics for filming.  Chrissy is actually thinner than her character Kate is. (Thinner being relative.)  I don't know if we'll see her weighing less on TIU, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Same idea though. We both can visualize this smaller version of Chrissy that makes the story less complicated (by complicated I mean they aren't worried about her fitting on a car, they never even think about her size most episodes!)

I'd love to see how she looks now. I do hope she continues to work, regardless. There aren't many like her in the industry but there are many people like her in the world

  15. Literally never once noticed the car had small seats. And even then, didn't worry about Kate fitting in it.

Ignorance is bliss, y'all. Also, Kate's like 210 pounds in my mind these days. (As in, I don't think about her weight at all, she doesn't seem to, so I'll mentally agree she just isn't stick thin. I know Chrissy is closer to 400 pounds. But Chrissy isn't Kate. It makes no sense except in my very weird brain!)

Although, her being mean to Kate when they were kids still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I thought the bully at the pool was Sofie, purposely spelled different. She signed her lil name. I figured there were 2 Sophie/Sofies in their class

It said will you be my valentine, yes/no

Once he got her answer on the card, he took it back because she answered the question. That was my assumption

As for Ken, yeah, there were probably better ways to handle it considering Nick and most of that panel have done/said things that weren't exactly all without controversy.

Ken apparently took it personally that Rudy was openly against the covid vaccine. It seems either Jenny got vaccinated from covid (to stay on the show) or he can overlook it with her. But it wasn't technically political. He's just a doctor that was pissed one of the people against masking and vaxxing was given a chance to be on this show. (Again, Jenny may have evolved on vaccines, I have no idea.)

This is exactly how I feel.

This season is well worth skipping. If they have the same format next season, I'm out. How can I pick a winner on 3 performances total in over 14 episodes?

  20. Honestly though, a combination of Joe Pesci and Robert Duval is basically the nicest way to describe Jack in the Box.

The voice painted a picture of an older likely white, east-coaster with no rhythm. That's spot on lol

I am pissed they left in the nice things Robin/Ken said about Jack in the Box before the unmasking. That was hella shady. Bait and switch

Is it 5 years since the divorce? Kate's Alzheimer's has gotten so much worse. 😥

Less than 5. Because this wedding is 5 years after Kate and Toby returned from San Fransisco. So, 16 months later they filed. Big 3 are 46 at the MeanJerk wedding

Mandy Moore does know how to play piano. I think the hesitation was Rebecca, not Mandy.

Only reason I hope wedding singer ends up with Kevin is because she's midsize and us girls deserve hunks too! Also, Katie is also just adorable as a human.

Are none of Randall’s girls there?

They would have had to age them up 5 years and I think that would have been almost impossible with Annie and Tess. Randall implied they were there
