I don't like Maxie's son James. His acting is like right out of an Our Gang comedy or something.
I can see Gladys sticking around after this. She may be at odds with Sasha for a while though.

Why would Jake show up to Charlie's with Charlotte like that? I guess he actually wants his family to know they're dating, but he could have kept it quiet.
Maybe the writers are trying to toughen Sasha up by throwing so many obstacles in her way. If it means that the character continues to grow and evolve, then it might be worth it in the long run.
I really dislike how they have mishandled the Esme character. I was hoping that she would regain her former memories and personality at some point, but now it just feels like they don't know what to do with her or are dragging their feet with this storyline.

Did Dex ever actually know anything about the flash drive with the fake info? I know he was watching Betty and left her alone in the penthouse to look around, but I can't remember if Sonny gave him all of the details.
Jake and Charlotte ain't blood related, so I guess that's cool. Although, wasn't Charlotte supposed to be the same age as Aiden? They were in the same class during that bullying story a few years back. I guess they have the Jake actor available so it's easier to use him.
Now I realize that Jake is dating his brother's former school bully lol.

I guess maybe Molly's tears at the end means she might just be done with her feud with Kristina and is ready to reconcile??

Olivia, it's "omerTAH," with the stress on the final syllable. FFS.
Only in the original Italian. In English, it's pronounced like "oMERtah" and so on. I wouldn't expect Olivia to necessarily use the original pronunciation.

Really dislike the character and everything she represents, but Sorkin's performance was one of a kind and the impact undeniable.

I don't recall Willow and Kristina interacting before.
Kristina was in that Dawn of Day cult run by Shiloh. Willow helped her during that storyline.

"We've never met before, but my name is Felicia Scorpio."
I'm pretty sure I remember Felicia and Stella meeting a few years ago, back when Stella caught Felicia and Mac having sex at the park in the middle of the day.

To be fair, I don't really think that the guy was supposed to be threatened by Dex, but by Sonny. Dex was just the messenger.

I guess that since they recast the characters of both Molly and Kristina the writers decided that their dynamic should also change. I don't necessarily think that's a bad idea. Their relationship is different from before, but I think that makes sense with new actors in the roles.
I think Gladys does still care about Sasha, but she cares about money a lot more. She's trash, but not entirely heartless or irredeemable in my view.

I think it's not the worst idea to ease audiences into the new universe with less well known, fresh characters, how Marvel did with Ironman (kinda on accident).
I agree, but it looks like the new DCU will be doing the exact opposite by starting off with a new Superman and new Batman right away.

I don't find any of it weird or odd at all. Johnson is playing Madame Web, and that's one of Madame Web's outfits, regardless of whether it's Cassandra or Julia. They certainly aren't gonna put her in her original classic outfit.
Webb in this film seems like she will be a mentor of sorts to the other Spider-Women. Perhaps, like in the comics, she will pass down her abilities onto Julia, who could even end up wearing the jacket maybe.

Yes, let's drag Connie into things, because slagging on a cousin who had the nerve to want to do more than stay in Bensonhurst is the worst thing someone could do.
I can't really blame Olivia in the case of her cousin. Kate/Connie carried so much self-hatred back then. She rejected her Italian ancestry, her working-class roots, and even her own family. It's understandable to me why Olivia would be so hurt by that. It's ok to want to leave your home for bigger and better things, but that doesn't mean you have to show so much shame and ugliness towards your identity.

I wonder if she'll be wearing the BNW Venom-esque costume JC wears in the comics.
I kind of doubt it, based off the vibe I get from set pics.

Something like that possibly, based on the rumored plot.

Too much single-use plastic in too many scenes. Totally unnecessary and irresponsible. At least let us see the characters recycling, damn.

It's unfortunate for the Sasha character but I really like watching her constantly dealing with horrible shit. Mattsson is enjoyable in the role and always seems committed to whatever the writers throw at her.
I also love watching the Gladys character sink further and further. She is entertaining to me and I wonder if she will continue to skate by or not.

I can't imagine that anyone wants the next Spidey movie to be the bloody Clone Saga.
I liked the Clone Saga and wouldn't mind if they attempted some kind of adaptation in the future.

Not sure what to think about them writing in HP's accident like that...

Betty (not a name I’d choose for someone her age)
I thought the same exact thing.

Somehow I doubt this will happen, especially now with the strikes. I can see these storylines lasting through to next spring/summer honestly.
1 hour ago, Auntie Velvet said:I was sure the rest of the summer would be Betty being unbearable and Ava being at her mercy.
I thought so too, but I was enjoying them and kind of liked the idea of more Betty vs. Ava.

I know they toned down the title character and made Lydia more cheerful for the cartoon but did the showrunners think that none of the cartoon viewers had seen the movie with the title character having nearly forced the teen Lydia to marry him?!
A lot of kids probably watched the cartoon before they had seen or even heard of the movie. Also, yeah, it's a forced marriage, but it was a fantasy/comedy film. It's an easy hand wave for me, especially if the characters continue on in cartoon form. Children particularly won't really care.

Gladys is terrible but I like how shameless she is and enjoy watching the character sink lower and lower.
Alcoholic Taggert? Hopefully this won't be some excuse to make him look bad in order to push Trina closer to Curtis.
Not to sound ageist or anything, but I love how this new Molly is like 15 years older than the last two, 10 years older than TJ, and a few years older than nuKristina to boot. With her new irrational personality and unpredictable behavior, it's honestly all very entertaining to me and I can't wait to see what the writers will try and pull with the character next lol.

Just in case there's any confusion, YouTube TV and YouTube are two different things. One is a subscription service for live television, and the other is for uploaded video sharing by users.

But for GH, I find that the background music completely overwhelms the voices, to the point where I feel a need to put it on mute and simply read the captions. Any thoughts?
You may have to switch the audio settings on your television or on your streaming device. Maybe something like switching from Dolby Surround to PCM, or vice versa. Just a possibility.

How shitty would it look if the guy dating the Black woman leaves her for the white woman who drugged and framed her? Cannot wait.
6 minutes ago, Katy M said:If the show were anti interracial couples, Sprina wouldn't be a thing at all.
You don't have to be 100% anti-Black to be anti-Black.
They can roll out as many interracial couples as they want to, but if the show is just going to end up tanking them over and over again then there might be a problem.

Ah, Henry Ducard. I wonder if they would have ended up doing a Dark Knight-style twist and make him Ra's when it was all said and done, or if they would have just kept him as a real person going forward. Charles Mesure seemed effective enough with the screen time he was given. But I guess we will never really know.
I hope that they would have just had him be Ducard and avoid any more white European Ras al Ghuls. Plus I think it would have been lame to copy the Nolan films again.
Batman Movies
in Movies
I agree with this. One of the reasons that the Chris Nolan films are so good is because of Nolan's talents as a filmmaker and the writing. Those are what elevate his films above the others. Also, they were the first films to really delve into the comic book mythos of Batman and explore it respectfully. As for the character himself, I enjoy Bale in the role, and don't really mind his Bat-voice.
Also, it seems like the earliest live action versions of Batman are often forgotten. The film serials Batman (1943) and its sequel Batman and Robin (1949) are worth a watch for anyone who hasn't seen them.
