  1.  I think Donny is the one who has changed on the child issue. I had the impression that they were married urbanites before, career focused and having children wasn't an issue. Now Donny wants the big wedding, house in the 'burbs and 2.3 kids. Kate seems like she's trying to get on board because she loves him and he seem to want it so badly.  That's probably more thought than the writers of this show put into that relationship.

I thought the whole doll/ kid thing was creepy good stuff.

  2. Wow.  This is painful to watch.  The best moment of the show happened in the second episode.  Eddie tries to carry a drunk LeAnn off to bed & cracks her head on the wall.

Yes! It confirms for me that there are no "accidents" lol

  3. I'm intrigued. I rather liked it. I thought Hayes firing Lennon made sense. He apparently has an agenda and she is quite the maverick so they were doomed from the start. She made it clear she was not going to be cooperative so she got the boot. No real reason to keep her since she admitted that she didn't know why the process worked on those specific eggs.  Sure it would have been smarter for him to contain her and now he has the perfect reason to do so.

I agree with those who said Lennon didn't make very smart decisions, hopefully that will improve.

I liked the father and son plot and am interested to see where that goes.

They really got the Big Bad Gov'mt all up in everybody's business. "Mandatory Fertility Testing"  and not being told the results.

Maybe cause it's Summer and there's not much on but I'm in.

  4.

At this point, I'm tired of Maxie. She was never this naive or stupid.

I agree whole-heartedly with being tired of her but beg to differ. She has always been this naïve and stupid IMO. Pillowena? Spin? Just two of the many examples.

  5.

I think she'd cut Franco's throat, without  a shred of guilt, to protect herself or her kids or Sonny.  I don't think she'd do the same to Sonny to protect Franco.

This is why the relationship just fundamentally doesn't work. This is why Jax didn't work. Carly doesn't get that the fault lies with her not that the guy just can't accept Sonny in her life, he can't accept her putting Sonny first and he shouldn't.  Jax finally had enough and Franco will too.

    Sonny ruins everything.

  6. I just watched Friday's show and I have to say the "drama" really fell flat for me. I didn't really care about Baby Shammy nor did I care much about Rafe, other than it's sad when kids die and I am not a heartless monster but I didn't see Patrick or anyone other than Sobby really invested in that baby. Except for when he was dying/dead.

Rafe had more story but still not much, he was for the most part a huge douche and I never saw any real connection to guilty, grieving Sigh-less. So they're dead. To me, so what? Patrick and Silas are so bent out of shape because they didn't give two shits about these kids until they were dead and feel really guilty about it. Which could be good story if played that way but not like  this.  I'd much rather see the guilt of Patrick saying he never wanted Shamwow  because that would strike me as honest. Silas say regretfully how he had ignored Rafe after the way he got him, for Sam, then Nina and feeling that weight. But I get nothing from ME as Silas even though I liked McBain.

I was so un-invested that all I could think about when ME and MSt were in the room with brain dead Rafe is that I was glad Rafe was on the ventilator because of the combined power of the huge and flared nostrils of them was sucking all the O2 out of that room.

I believe Patrick story, sure he's a selfish cheating man-child but if he had really wanted Rafe dead he could have simply refused to operate. BFD if Dr O fired him.  He has been a lot of things but I don't think a liar is one of them.

Maxie can sure connect the dots to blame Nathan for ratting out Levi but she could not figure out Levi ratting Nathan out to the judge when he was the only other person who knew Nathan lied? She deserves Levi.

  7. So the Dunkleroo has a visa problem from a country that doesn't need visas and Maxie is trying to be worthy of seeing her child but lets go protest the reno of a brownstone and get arrested for JUSTICE!  These two maroons deserve each other. Yes I know, it's only a plot point to get them married but the stupid, it burns.

Patrick and Silas are both upset about the loss of children they gave no shits about until minutes before they were dead. Seems to me they have more in common than they think and should sue the hospital together. Patrick didn't want to do the surgery and said so. He said he was compromised and Dr O ordered him to do it anyway. It's on her AFAIC.  Isn't Silas supposed to be a Doctor? Why wouldn't he know that sometimes patients die? Oh, right, that tricky plot point , again.

"don't know how to connect the dotes with real story telling."

Hahaha! I read this as "connect the dolts" and it was hilarious snark. Still true, though.

  8. Cat, you lovely beast, so glad you found some conditioner for your hair and a comb.

The opening number was pretty good and really looked Broadway-esque.

Gah, did not like Tanisha and Rudy's thing. Sadly, I think Tanisha has some skill and has been unfortunate in her partners. Her hair do was not flattering. At all. Rudy is this season's Jose.

Ricky and Valerie were just okay.  I felt nothing but they didn't suck.

Emilio and Bridget were cute little hobbit-y hip hop-ers but I really didn't care for the routine.

Love to see Benji but when your choreo causes a shoulder to dislocate, man, you need to re-think it, just saying.

Nick and Jessica really bombed that.  It was bad all around.

Serge and Carly were shockingly good. Best of the night IMO.

Teddy and Emily were okay, he was definitely better, IMO. I found it entertaining but not great.

I had high hopes for Malene and Stanley but this was just bad.  Even if you took the phones out, there was little content and no connection. It really did look like they were dancing two different pieces.

Jourdan and Marcquet, sucked. Sloppy  and out of control.

Casey and Brooklyn were quite good. I bought it,  I liked their connection and control, it wasn't the most complicated of tangos but it was well done.

I liked the African  Jazz but I noticed Zack looked stiff in the shoulders while Jacque was giving it her all.

Nigel was his usual ass-y self, Mary was fairly irrelevant and I thought Misty had some good critiques.

Not a stellar night for this show but not terrible either.

  9. Yes, I felt that dwelling on Serge's sweatiness was rather like throwing him under the bus.

I agree and it made me like Brooklyn even less for bringing it up. It's disappointing because he was my favorite of the ballroom guys before this. He danced well for a guy dancing with a limp noodle. I thought Brooklyn was less than average and dragged him down. I also thought Nick dragged Tanisha down and would much rather have seen Serge and Tanisha paired.  I thought Marquet and Malene were good, great samba rolls but a little frantic and lacking control.

I liked Zach much more than Valerie.  I felt bad for the poor ballerinas, they were screwed. I liked both Hip hop guys, I hope they stick around.

I'm not a huge fan of Comtemp and even less of Sonya, so I was taken completely by surprise with my reaction to Ricky and Jessica. Like that judge, I forgot to breathe, I was invested from the moment he touched her neck and she smiled.  The rest of the Contemp kinda blurred but I recall that liked Casey and Emily and was shocked that I enjoyed Bridget and Stanley.  That's all I remember.

  10. I do see Liam as kind of weak but then I usually see the middle part of the triangle as weak.  Like Ridge when he was and like Hope currently is. Not physically weak but mentally. I get that people can change their mind but the back and forth and over and over comes off as weak, to me. Liam isn't the middle right now and he's come a long way but I don't totally buy that he'd stick with Hope if Steffy was to return.

I think that as soon as Liam raises a hand to Quinn he would be seen as in the wrong because who would believe a 25 year old man would be terrorized by a small 45 year old woman?  So I like that he doesn't or hasn't yet gotten physical with her. I think she's expecting him to and at that point she would cry victim. Someone not knowing the situation would totally believe her. Just saying.
