I thought that was strange as well. One of the writers came up with "tornado" after reading a synopsis of one of the original recipe Roseanne shows.  ("that's the ticket"!)

It's the Midwest. There are dozens of tornados every year. It would be weird  if they ALL bypassed Lanford. I'd bet it was just a way to explain the lack of friends and family and an excuse to have Jackie perform the ceremony.

I actually prefer it to her other costumes, especially the cleavage-baring ones, which are not family friendly.  She should wear this all the time!  It's the only one that's actually farm-related.

I have never seen Amy in an R-rated costume. Let alone one that was objectionable for children.

If you check out her (Wendy Williams) thread you will see that many of us have predicted this. We believe she is having issues due to substance abuse and neurosis. I’m glad TPTB have finally agreed to have someone take over the helm of her show. It is doubtful if she will ever return in good form.

They're claiming it's due to complications from Graves disease which  can cause some pretty serious hormone issues.

In the first show, I always thought of her as Roseanne's cool little sister that helped Becky get on birth control and smoked pot in the bathtub and thought it was the sink.

I know her mother drives her crazy, and I wish they had a story about her son that would explain her behavior. Family is so important to her, and being estranged from her son would be hard for her.

Apparently Andy and Fred never existed.

I agree that $24 per person is way too much. I checked three places near me and they ranged from $5 to $14. In my opinion the $5 one was the best, with live entertainment, 70 craft vendors, dozens of farm animals, kids activities, food vendors, and both apples AND pumpkins. The $14 one only included a corn maze and had one food truck. I’m guessing the Roloff price is to keep lookey loos out.

Also, 16 and under to the $5 place is FREE.

I would think  looky loos are exactly who Matt wants. Willing to spend , spend, spend just to be there.

That's a little harsh.  I don't think anyone, including Shatner, feels he's an actual astronaut but he is definitely an icon and Star Trek has inspired generations of people to think hopefully about the possibilities of space and space travel.

Shatner absolutely sees himself as a HERO. I've seen that huge ego in action at far too many Star Trek conventions.

There's a lot we don't know about the situation.  While she is getting criticism for how she shared the story, we don't know how Shonda or Denzel felt about it at the end of the day.  Perhaps they just brushed it off as a creative flareup and everyone gets along great.

As for not wanting to keep her around--they wanted their show to go on.  Technically, Grey's Anatomy is a medical term and the show could go on, in theory, without Meredith Grey.  Realistically, everyone knows that Meredith is the titular character.  And when this happened, they had just lost Patrick Dempsey and Sandra Oh about a year earlier. Only Alex, Bailey and Richard were the original characters left other than Meredith.

Grey's Anatomy is the book widely used in anatomy classes.

Being embarrassing isn’t irresponsible. Part of growing up is realizing that your parents are actual people you don’t exist just to revolve around you.

You don’t know that. None of us know that. She said that she believed she shouldn’t have to be evaluated again because other conservatorships have ended without an evaluation.  The key word there is again. She’s been evaluated in the past. She is still under the conservatorship and it stands to reason that she is still receiving mental health care and is constantly being evaluated in one form or another. If the judge decides to end the conservatorship there is no reason to believe the the opinion of her actual doctors were not taken into account.

She specifically asked to end the conservatorship without examination.

Few parents are responsible.  And ooooh ahhhh they might be embarrassed parents. That's a lot better for them than their mother being under conservatorship that's not warranted.  By law, children are not entitled to parents who aren't embarrassing.

The fact that so many people infantalized Britney, while at the same time being just fine with sports figures who have traumatic brain injury and are unable to make any coherent decisions, just really disturbs me. Is it because Britney needs looks young? Or is it just misogyny?

We don't know if it's warranted. Brittany refuses to take the psych exam.

In my memory, seems like she was planning to get surgery, but she just didn't wake up one morning due to overdosing.

I'm pretty sure Dan said that she had the surgery and he was controlling her meds which is why her overdosing was such a blow. When he was yelling at Mary Steenburgen on the porch the girls ran out with bags of pills Roseanne ha hidden forcing Dan to accept that she was an addict.

Right about what?  It's a pretty weak point to conclude there is no God around.  The Noah's Ark story is one of the oldest stories humanity has.  Either it was a local event that appeared to be worldwide from the perspective of the writer, and for all practical purposes might as well be.  Or it was truly a worldwide event and life was saved on one boat - in which case it was such a huge miracle and supernatural event that picking apart details about it seems silly - such as assuming they only had middle eastern animals (which is not part of the story, by the way).

It's a valid and logical comment. Period. And you appear to be accepting  the Bible as written.  Not everybody does. If you wish to continue  this you may PM me.
