I’m not sure his “exoneration” as he called it, came off like he thought it did.  I think he’s clueless.  Just best not to revisit commenting on a woman’s body.

Wow, Chris was sobbing, Justin style. I’m sure there is a solution and the apartment may make an exception anyway since it’s short term.

EXONERATE and EXUDE! Clint needs a thesaurus.  What a blowhard!

I thought Nicole was treating Chris like a child, and I think that was actually what he needed at that moment.  It made me slightly uncomfortable--though I understood and love dogs.

Kylee, nooooooooo! Zach is not the guy who wants to hear about the drama unless you’re planning on sacrificing yourself on the way out, like Brianna with Christina. But I guess bring here for internet clout is the biggest sin. “Here for the wrong intentions” ad libbing the lines. Everyone knows it’s Here For the Wrong Reasons TM.

Kylee is one of the least articulate contestants I have ever seen on this show and that is saying something.  She is constantly talking pompous word salad--i.e. "speak on"--and it really hurt my ears.

Yeah, the whole “I specialize in gingers” and “My ginger clients aren’t offended” was really giving me similar vibes as a racist saying “I have Black friends.” You are not helping yourself here!

Their biggest problem is that they both said something insulting, but then they each doubled-down that the other was in the wrong. Clint at least recognized that they both said something insulting. But instead of apologizing for what he said and saying he was hurt by what she said—full stop. It was like, you can’t be mad at me because you said this first. Then Gina was just only you were wrong and what I said was fine because I own a salon that gingers frequent. If they can’t acknowledge the other’s perspective, then they have no chance of ever having a successful relationship with anyone.

ETA: Also, is it just me or do Clint and Gina practically have the exact same hair color??

Thank you!! Ginger Pot meet Ginger Kettle!!

Chris told the guys Nic holds his hand more than he'd like. Bahaha. That's funny that was his "complaint."

I thought it was a bit of a red flag and his way of saying that she might smother him.  She should also stop asking him if he loves her.  They are both way too needy and I hope that works in their favor but I'm not sure it will.

Can't find where anyone commented on Christina's twisted mouth every time another girl was called down for a rose.  So I will.

Thank you!! I did notice that! the word I came up with to describe it is "simpering"!

I did give a point to Christina for not feigning upset over Bailey's departure.  The obligatory mourning ritual every time someone leaves is a bit much.  But of course she should have kept that to herself.

Christina looks so picturesque leaning against the yellow wall between the red drapes. I wonder if production posed her there or if she chose that spot to weep.

LOLLL yes.  And it was priceless when they all walked past her and ignored her until a few kind souls took pity on her.

I wonder if Zach felt like he had to give her a rose otherwise he’d look like a cad who rejected her because of her daughter. He seems to have a lot more trepidation than other bachelors in the past with the women who have kids.

That is a point in his favor IMO--he's only in his mid-twenties right?

I have a few more observations:

    1) Christina--or should I say CHRISTINA MANDRELL-- does look exactly like her famous aunt, and from certain angles she looks a lot like Reese Witherspoon.  I don't find her genuine--but maybe she is, because I also note that she doesn't know what to do with her face and especially with her mouth when the camera is on her.

    1) Ariel has a chin that reminds me of Squidward.

No, it's Jasmine who's a pageant queen. Kirsten is a college graduate and currently works in the real estate field. I don't know if she's a broker or just an agent. I think I heard her tell Shaq that she was a teacher at some point, but not quite sure I heard that right.

I agree that she's too full of herself. Yes, she is very pretty, but so what? Looks fade over time. Shaq is very accomplished and seems like a nice person. She could do worse.  She's not attracted to him and his bald head and if he doesn't measure up in the bedroom, that's another strike against him. She was not a good choice for this experiment, imo.

Kirsten has stated many times that she has a Masters and they are being matched because they are both EDUCATED.  Which clearly is not enough of a basis on which to match people.

I also wanted to note that Gina's mom from certain angles looks like a little person--am I the only one who sees this?

I’m dying!  Gina is going to eat Clint alive and I’m here for every second.

(I’m still holding out hope that Clint’s tie is in his pocket and he’ll whip it out any second now and put it on.)

With those teeth and that shark grin on her way up the aisle, I really thought Gina might actually devour Clint! it was scary!

Alexis saying he needs to work on his thrusting was right up there!

She is in a class by herself for the self-portrait of her vagina, the boob sling, and a million other ways in which she flaunted her assets and put down her spouse in the crudest way possible.

  12. When Dollar Tree Chuck Norris (brilliant moniker) asked the other grooms if they were willing to be stuck with one vagina for their entire life, I hated him with the heat of a thousand suns.  And I didn't appreciate Arris's picking up the locution.

My bad!! I was over-reading given all of Albie's tentativeness before this.  you are right of course.

She was also a regular on 2 Broke Girls. Probably not a show that is received as well as others but it was one of her most consistent roles.

I don't think there's much different about Albie.  He was respectful about the wants of the women he was with even if that got him rejected and played.  I feared potential aggression but we never really saw it towards the women even after he was dumped both times.  I think Portia changed more after being with someone who wasn't as respectful.

I'm not saying that Albie fundamentally changed and became just like the two patriarchs he resisted throughout the show.  What I mean is that he gained something from his transactions with both Lucia and Dominic that made that final shot of the three of them ogling the beautiful woman in unison make a kind of sense it couldn't have made at the beginning of the series.

Albie knew it wasn’t a pimp threat.  He said to his father that she should have a chance at a better life.  And maybe she’ll come to LA to visit at some point.  And maybe she will after she tires of that life.

I agree. Albie had an interesting arc.  I think it took Lucia's expert "playing" of him and giving him what he wanted to make him own his masculinity in a different way.  Remember at first he had to ask permission to come when receiving a blow job? That same woke passivity (with the potential for aggression underneath as many noted) was part of what made Portia turn him down. Lucia genuinely liked him AND played him.  He got to enjoy himself without worrying about offending her.  I think that alone and the hope she might visit was worth 50K to him. I also think that's why all three men in his family turned to check out that woman as one in the end. Albie was finally a man with an id just like his father and grandfather.

It did seem like she enjoyed it, and/or like she was milking the moment for TV.

It was the ultimate mike-drop for her.  She will never EVER lose an an argument and she held on to every argument they had and won them all at the altar.  Not a good look.

As others have said, Zanab also holds on very hard to her loss.  After the dancing lesson with Cole, when they actually seemed to have been enjoying each other, he says how much fun it was and she says, I am so sad I can't have a father/daughter dance.  When she chose her dress, she cried that her mother wasn't there.  The two empty seats at the wedding were the final touch. It's like she can't ever allow herself to move on and experience joy in the present.  I have renewed respect for her stepmother's (aunt's?) patience, grace, and obvious love of Zanab.  I find myself wondering if Zanab's refusal to let go of her childhood loss, devastating as it was, isn't connected to her refusal to let go of any perceived slight.  It must be.

I was really annoyed with Bartise at the (bachelor party?) saying he was conflicted because his family was against Nancy, but his sister came right out and said they supported him.  And bringing up her ex'es involvement in her real estate business, I never heard anything about the ex since that time they saw the rental house, its not like he's all in their business.  He's looking for excuses so he can go find someone that looks like Raven and will break his heart in 6 months.

so much this!! Not to mention, the reason why Bartise's family was "against" Nancy was because he brought up their abortion conversation in order to sabotage her without appearing to have done so.  He is the absolute worst, takes no accountability, and is dumb as rocks IMO.

  18. Am I the only one who is getting a kind of "My Brilliant Friend" vibe from Lucia and Mia?  they even look a bit like Lila and Lenu.  And like them they're both trying to escape.  I do remember that one of the teen girls from last season was reading Ferrante's novel at the pool.

Random observation: Michael Imperioli is just so damn good in this.  Yes there is rage but so much sadness too.  He is making the whole thing worth it for me, plus Aubrey of couse.

Wells is no Jesse Palmer.  Jesse has been working on his hosting skills for years (Currently he is hosting Holiday Baking Championship Mondays at 8 eastern).  He is warm and fun/funny without being smarmy or condescending.   I get the impression Wells thinks he is the smartest guy in the room.  Besides Aaron, of course.

    THAT'S BIG FACTS!

Am I the only one who doesn’t like Brandon?  I find him very effeminate and I think everything he says sounds like a cheesy pickup line. Like when he says “I love you Serene Full name”.   He did the same thing with Michelle which just makes it seem so fake to me.  He’s just so corny esp how he cries over everything. And I agree with the above poster, I hate how he callls her “baby girl”.  Ewwwww.

Also, I didn’t understand Danielle’s comment about leaving “as long as she can wake up and fall asleep with Michael everyday”.  How can she do that when she hasn’t even met his son and as of now, Michael isn’t sure when he will introduce them to each other.  She seems super sweet but I personally cannot stand her voice and something about her just rubs me the wrong way.  Not that she’s a bad person, just something about her is annoying and I can’t put my finger on it.

You are not the only one! Brandon is utterly cringey and fake to me.  Yes he is in love with baby girl Serene, but he was also in love with Rodney and in both cases his completely over the top way of expressing it made me crazy.

I like Danielle but I also found that comment very odd and confusing.

So very little mention if the “ boom boom room” are we to beleive none of these final couples have had sex? Yeah brandon and serena are almost obnoxiously sweet, but i hope it works out for them. Hate how they had to all make out in front of each other at the rose ceremony. Ugh.

this season felt more like a cult than any other.  Ritual performances of love to a bored and judgmental audience.  Like BIP met Lord of the Flies.

  21. I am wondering, when did the star of this show Krysten become Kris?  Mitch and Alexis both called her that.  Is this part of her new persona?

That weird meeting between Alexis and Justin in front of what looked like a creek was very perplexing.  He said she wanted to talk.  She said hello and never looked up from her phone. WTF was happening??

And Alexis insulted his sexual prowess CONSTANTLY, not just that one time.  So she had zero legs to stand on, and his apologies to everyone else seemed sincere as anything else on the show to me.

I kind of think Jessenia and Andrew just fell into a relationship almost by accident, if that makes sense.  But that’s not a life commitment.   He seems like a nice guy, and he felt bad, but he did nothing wrong.

I think Andrew slept through most of his relationship with Jessenia.

Gosh, I was just going to say something about the gowns!!

Why are they dressed as if they are expecting a sash, crown and roses??

may I add that when you are built like a linebacker you don't show off your shoulders.  And call me old-fashioned, but a sequined pageant gown plus hulking shoulders plus tatoos is not a good look.
