Things are finally starting to get interesting now! East coast shreds? It was 2 east coasters targetting a third! Or did I misunderstand? Adam - "I gave that HOH to Corey. I could have won that easily." Are you frickin kidding me?!! She would have slayed him. Lol I hope Sam gets backdoored. She lied to Corey's face. I get that it's a game, but that could have been handled differently. I think I would have told the truth, with my reasoning behind it..and then be promptly voted out I guess. Feels like mountains are made out of molehills sometimes. I absolutely loved when Corey shut Kyra down. Kyra - "it feels like you're quizzing me right now." Corey - " you could take it that way." Love it! Good episode. This is the first time that I'm looking forward to the next one...

Oops. I probably mixed them up. 😮 So are showmances or PDA normal with this franchise? Survivor is much less forgiving with "power couples" ...so it's weird that it's so naturally accepted here.

What week is this? Hasn't it been long enough now that everyone should be actively playing the game? Just me? Maybe it's a "polite" Canadian thing where no one wants to have blood on their hands? Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the show, I'm just frustrated with all of the "safe" plays. I think Dane sidled up to Kiki 90% for strategy and 10% for "whatever"...he probably wasn't that into her. I kind of liked her but not so much the bitter exit. Sam is asking the right questions to Adam, and is actually surprising me at times. But why oh why doesn't she follow through? I for one, can NOT wait for one of them to have to betray the other. Surely they won't be the final two and be so much in love that they walk off with the winnings together? Please no..omg. Poor Este.. she'll probably be the next easy "pick off". Kyra's outfits. Puh-leeze!

Oh shoot, I forgot to mention...you guys make some excellent points. Especially about why the veto necklace or whatever it's called wasn't fiercely competed over. I listened to the rules, and the players spent time confused and speculating over their lack of clarity too...then mentioned some risks. Eg if you have the veto and use it on someone else, could a twist happen that would allow for you then to be put on the block. Or at least this was my take on it. Still, so what? Taking that necklace would have been the hill I'd choose to die on.... and then let the games begin! Their decision was just disappointing.

At this rate, the pretty boys will be final 4 and have to eat their own. Or maybe it's being edited to look that way...at least to me it does. I sure hope not because that would be boring. I see too many players being all talk no action... and playing it safe. Yawn.

This is way better than the celebrity edition. I thought my original lack of interest in this show might be a smidge ageist...as I approach "get off my lawn" territory myself. lol And yes there still is a high-school clique element that brings back flashbacks, but overall I'm enjoying the strategies and guessing who/how the votes will play out. Now to the fun stuff - snarking and kudos... Kiki's matte brown lipstick looked like it was applied using a milk chocolate coloured crayon... or poo. Also, too bad she's into Dane... I lost a little respect for her there. (although he's surprising me with his good game!) Adam - There's something wrong with that mustache! A tad evil cartoon character-ish. Plus he's not the sharpest tool in the toolshed, but he seems to think he's "all that" in the house. Okay, sure Jan. Can't wait for him to be gone... preferably blindsided. Eddie - bye-eeee! The seamless shift between obsequious toadying and sly nastiness, was a total disconnect for me. He wasn't boring, he was unlikeable. Chelsea just can't help herself with getting her closeups on all available cameras! lol. I was squirming last week when she was practically drunk on power during her hoh stint. What a turnaround this week for her! Yet I was almost rooting for her to stay..., probably because Kiera annoys me to distraction. Sam must be ovulating! Please dial that back omg. That food competition was so gross last week, I practically gagged, as slop water rained down off their hair onto the plate and whatever that was they were cramming into their mouths. Blek. I would have liked to have seen more of Caylin (psychic lady) so too bad about that. I think she could have been interesting. I'm glad Corey won that competition. She needs to step up her game though. Still too early to say who I'd like to see win. Anyone know how many episodes are in a season?

I am so confused! I have no idea where this is going. How are they going to fill 2 hours tonight? Gah. Random thoughts that I'm trying to put together to make sense of this... 1. Cassie verbatum..."I can't wait to, like, be with my family, friends back home and you know, move on with my life." She actually said that!! Oh and as she's leaving with her luggage?! So wth? Did they just move her to another hotel? I thought she was long gone. I think/hope that preview is a fake. And yet, I'm probably wishful thinking. 2. I replayed the guys on the couch with CH... my 80's rock-concert-damaged ears require closed captioning, ...which didn't stand a chance with "The Women Yell All" interrupting-fest btw - (TM some clever poster here, tx)...anyway I could be wrong, but I don't think Blake spilled any beans. He was stumbling over his words but as per closed captioning, he prefaced the sentence with "If Colton picks Cassie, she'll ... I'm paraphrasing this next part...be okay with Colton's dates with the other women because afterall, look at the hoops/fences he jumped for her. " What dreck... I kind of liked Blake and his horse. Dumb statement though. And Garret (big fan btw) reminds me of the Gronk, and the other two, yawn. Filler. I agree with those of you about no means no. Colton dropped several points in my estimation of him after last night's episode. He's selfish... and childish. Where's that pacifier! 3. I thought I heard CH say they're announcing the next bachelorette during tonight's finale. I'm worried about this. A lot. Normally I don't care who the lead is...but this season has changed all of that. Bleh. 4. I thought Colton's facial expression (he had "back-off" eyeballs bigtime)...in response to a CH question/comment...I think it was with Hannah on the couch... I thought he also looked a bit pissed off and as though he's had it with all of them. 5. Cassie better get a good agent to drum up her next reality show gig. She seems fairly universally disliked...oh but wait, that might draw a few viewers. To me she's been totally exposed for the famewhore fake that she is. I hope I never see her again. Hard to believe that she was my favourite for the first few weeks. I feel so fooled. 😞

Wow! I am super impressed with Cory! She's my favourite hands down. Disclaimer, I'm still learning names... Hockey puck mouth surprised me with his game...smarter than I thought. Also the dad backstory threw me a bit. Everyone crying ... I just don't know. I'm really enjoying the show...way more than the celebrity edition...none of whom I recognised anyway, well except for Kato Kaylin. So many neat twists already in our Canadian version. The veto competition should be interesting on Wednesday! Can't wait. 🙂

I've only watched the two Celebrity BB seasons and read the forums here on those...which seem to indicate wild differences in strategy etc to the actual BB US and BB Canada shows. I guess I'm about to find out. I'm Canadian so I thought I'd watch this season...and go from there deciding if I watch the next BB US season. I also can't really explain why I'm so late to this "party". So having said that, I apologise for not being able to offer up helpful comparisons to previous seasons..although I do like reading about them! So only two episodes in, I can't find anyone that is relatable to me yet or to root for. But I can point out a couple of contestants that already seem to be chaffing my hide. The Newfie girl (sorry Easterners - I love you!)... but her with the wraparound legs hug?!? Ugh! What a parasite. She could be awesome for all I know...but her first impression didn't land well with me. Bleh. Eddie. Come off it! Nobody likes a superiority complex asshole that can't stop judging his and everyone else's level of intelligence. I can't figure out if this guy is for real, or just choosing a very boring and unoriginal script. Whatever, he's overcompensating for something. So is Chelsea... rubbing me the wrong way. Can't put a finger on it. I'm a fellow Albertan so I'll be hoping for some redeeming qualities from her as we go. Afterall the Calgarian is already gone. BTW she reminded me of Amber Rose. Just me?

I've asked myself, what was I even thinking by mentioning the concept of "female empowerment" on a discussion forum for a show like The Bachelor to begin with! 😋 But Demi aside, I do enjoy reading you all, and hearing different viewpoints and opinions. I've had a few lightbulb moments, that actually surprised me. So thanks for those. Warning though, if Demi is on BIP, I'll be pretty vocal in those threads ...and expect that I'll have my work cut out for me explaining the joy I find in "some" of her actions! 😉 I can hardly wait for tomorrow and Tuesday episodes! And I look forward to catching up here again then. 😃

I'm new here and don't want to piss anyone off, but if I could just chime in for a second on Demi. Some of my favourite posters hate her. I think if I were in my 20's, and not my 50's...she would drive me nuts. But...I kind of like her "sass"! And I admire her sticking up for herself and calling bullshit when she sees it. I'm all about female empowerment and I even found it refreshing when she unapologetically referred to herself as promiscuous. I lean towards prudish personally, but I still believe it's about time that it's okay for women to enjoy sex...and lots of it, (I guess in her case). Lol She's a little spitfire... and she is wildly entertaining (to me)! I think that the producers picked her for a reason...and she's delivering in spades. I doubt (hope) she's not thaaaat over the top in real life. As for the pacifier incident...I've refrained on commenting for fear I'll go on a rant, grr...but suffice it to say, it didn't escape my notice that the producers really skipped past that outburst post haste!...and I have an idea why --- lawsuit! I don't dislike Courtney btw...but you do NOT lay hands on anyone like that. I hope they're not in BIP together...or the other two - Oneyka and Nicole. Then again maybe I do. 😈

Good question...I'll try my best to explain... Firstly that interview was so unlike any of the same interviews (timing/topic) from all previous seasons. There were none of the usual declarations of his actually finding someone and being in love. This was in January so pretty fresh off the Cassie heartbreak btw. Also for a season that has beat me over the head with it's obsession with virginity...I found that Colton dodged that topic and I was left thinking he is/was still a virgin. So the show has wrapped...and where's the love? It could be that he didn't want to "kiss and tell" (replace kiss with...you know) but it was more vague and overall awkward than usual. His body language looked like his discomfort was actually painful. (to him for sure but I as well, couldn't help but empathise). I'll try to Google the actual interview but no guarantees I can find it ..partly because I'm quite the techno-luddite. This is my first and only discussion board that I'm a part of...(I can't even figure out how to use the quotes feature yet! lol)

Oh I should maybe clarify... I don't watch Jimmy Kimmel's Bachelor "predictions" segment because I think his wife Molly follows Reality Steve. Just a hunch. 😎

Katie for b'ette!!..which won't happen but I'm glad we got some elaboration/confirmation on the Caelyn and Cassie super-fakes allegations. I liked how Hannah B came across...and didn't personally see her as auditioning...but if she thought it, I guess, so what? I'd take her over almost anyone else. I liked Elyse too but she's probably too "mature" for the producers, who seem to think we all want to watch neverending shitstorms of women debasing themselves in catfights over a guy. I admit it, the odd one I'll be interested in watching...but sometimes it gets to be too much. Oneyka and Nicole- sigh. I pick Nicole's side even though she maybe slips in to the victim role a little too easily sometimes. I will mention though that the best laugh ever ..was earlier in the season when Sydney came in banging the pots and pans! Awesome! Omg is there a gif of that?! The last 20 minutes of the show I had to replay, as they were the most interesting to me. And then, because I dvr everything...I had saved Colton's interview (unwatched up to that point because I committed to being unspoiled) with Jimmy Kimmel on January 14th. Has anyone seen that? His whole demeanour (and word choice) make a lot of sense to me now, given where we're at at this time with this show. As other people have speculated...maybe they'll bring Cassie back in for the most dramatic and romantic "get back together" episode ...but if I had to guess I don't think they're together today. I could so easily be wrong...just a gut feeling right now. Oh and you guys are right about the weight loss on Colton! Makes me wonder if it's stress or heartbreak related. I know I've dropped a few lbs after a breakup. I feel bad for him overall.

Wow. Just finished watching, and catching up here. I did NOT see that coming. Cassie is cringeworthy...looking right into the camera (repeatedly)...ugh! Like others have said...where do they possibly go from here? Hannah as f1 (for 3 nanoseconds until she watches this episode!)..or her even as next B'ette seems a stretch. Taisha on BIP maybe? (I hope Demi is there too btw!) And with any luck, Cassie never crossing my radar again. 😑 FWIW - I don't think her father had much to do with her decision. She can barely conceal how much she wants more reality show/social media exposure. <vomit> Poor Colton. I think the producers did set him up. But I'm sure he'll find someone eventually...preferably in 10 years and off-air. That might work.

So I've always enjoyed watching this show, searching for the rare moments of truth.. and this is the first season where I'm having some trouble finding any with these girls. Colton has surprised me though. I initially was going to skip this season, but he seems like a kind and sensitive guy, if not a bit immature and out of the shallows now. 😏 Incoming snark alert... Taisha is fierce and all about the "win". But her smile reminds me of Cartman's upside down triangle mouth, gah! I think she'll do well in life though. Btw who decides the order of the fantasy suites? These two aren't there yet as I'm only 20 minutes into the episode...plus I haven't read the first 5 pages of this thread yet, but I predict/hope that these 2 won't or shouldn't go forward with "that". Cassie - her "innocence and freshness" schtick is just too manufactured in my opinion. Doesn't contrivance normally imply some degree of intelligence? Colour me confused because I don't see anything more there. Can't wait to see how their fs goes... Hannah - aka younger Meg Ryan, cookie cutter cute girl. Couldn't stand her in the beginning but lately she seems like the best bet, bleh. Two thoughts right now...in 6-8 months, if I remember to care, I expect to hear Colton is single. Or maybe sticking it out and miserable, due to his strong desire to please. Although I expect whatever woman to bail on him first. Sad. Also.. if any of the 3 girls left is the next bachelorette, I think the producers should have their heads examined. It'll be too insulting for this viewer to watch. I think bringing in a totally fresh crop of unknowns would really reboot this franchise..because it's just becoming farcical at this point. 😒 Women tell all - I look forward to seeing/hearing from some of the far more fascinating previous contestants. Will finish watching this episode now and look forward to reading this thread after!
