  1. "Oh, it's so creamy...mmm, the way it lays on my tongue."
  2. To make room for all the magic food that saved the town. :-)
  3. I like how all the people in town seemed shocked to learn that the food was running low. Don't you guys remember when you were rioting over food a few days ago?
  4. That was a nice banner someone made to hang outside on the building to let everyone know where to bring the food.
  5. That's where he came up with the name "Black Mamba Salsa" or whatever he made for the green screen challenge on the Great Wall of China.
  6. He was Canadian and served in WWII. He lost a finger when he was wounded on D-Day after landing at Juno Beach.
  7. Indy's Butcher Babe dishes on 'Food Network Star' http://www.indystar.com/story/entertainment/dining/2014/07/27/food-network-star-loreal-gavin/13174989/
  8. Just for fun a couple of weeks ago I looked at another message board to see what people were saying about the show. The people on there seriously think this is the most awesomely awesome show ever. Some people had screen names like "Pink Stars" and avatars of Barbie and Julia kissing. One thread I read started with posts like, "OMG! Only 12 more hours until tonight's episode! I don't know if I can wait that long! OMG! What do you think will happen with Julia and Barbie? OMG! OMG!" These people are absolutely enthralled with all the awesome and clever twists and turns.
  9. Nicole seems to be a little better when she's talking to actual human beings than just talking to a camera. When she is on camera she has the deer in the headlights/I can't remember what I was about to say syndrome going on. If she ever got a show she would need LOTS of work before she was ready. Being natural and relaxed on camera comes more naturally to some people, but others never seem to really get it. If it doesn't come naturally it can be a hard thing to master and takes a lot of work.
  10. Mrs. Fields, Marshall Fields and Neiman-Marcus have all been named in different versions of the cookie recipe legend.http://www.snopes.com/business/consumer/cookie.asp
  11. Melanie (aka Drownsie). Rebecca is the evil mad scientist/high school teacher.
  12. I said it after the last episode and I'll say it again, they should just say, "The Dome turned the power back on!". It would make much more sense than keeping up the embarrassing premise that the entire town is running off of a couple of emergency home generators. This also brings up the other question I had. Where is the fuel for the cars and magic generators coming from?
  13. I think I found the inspiration for Emma's burned pigs story. http://amazingribs.com/BBQ_articles/dissertation_on_roast_pork.html
  14. -Why are they not rationing food? Is everyone just hanging out at the diner everyday eating all the food they want? -How is Rebecca some sort of mad scientist? She's a small town high school science teacher who can't be more than a few years out of college.
  15. That's one of the things that turned me off about Nicole early on. In one of the early episodes she said they had a "sick pantry" (or kitchen, I'm not sure) to work from. Not only does it make you sound like you're 15, I really don't want to hear the word "sick" when someone is talking about food.
  16. I don't think any of them really knew what to do with sea urchin. I've never even tasted it. It's one of the things I avoid when I get sushi because I don't like how it looks.
  17. Which may be an indication that she wasn't selected as one of the 3 finalists...or it might be a red herring. ;)
  18. Apparently he's still alive but hasn't been seen since last season. I can't remember the last episode he appeared in. I remember he helped Angie bury Rose.
  19. Yes, she introduced herself as being from Lafayette, LA.
  20. Yeah, I think you're right. I forgot about that.
  21. Are we supposed to believe that Dwight Yoakam, who is 57, was a high school student in 1988? Am I missing something, or isn't that what is implied by the picture of Sam, Pauline and Lyle from 1988?
  22. Apparently they get to come back in future seasons and compete in the Star Salvation thing. I don't know if they win any kind of prize.
  23. If she's one of the final 3 she's known for months and is just waiting to shoot the finale. If she's already been eliminated what's the point of monitoring the voting?
