  1. I’m sure that doesn’t stop some podcasters
  2. Maybe bring up Capone’s name as someone who was there and is a celebrity and then insinuate various things, including that Thomas could be the “T” in the note
  3. The lineup for POV's 36th season https://deadline.com/2023/05/pbs-pov-36-season-lineup-announcement-1235356270/
  4. I thought Lexi wanted to be recurring so she could pursue other projects and that's why we don't see Kristina very often. Did I get wrong info? Maybe we'll see Kristina more with the recast
  5. The last 2 episodes of the season, May 13 and 20, have now been canceled due to the strike https://tvline.com/2023/05/04/snl-season-48-finale-cancelled-jennifer-coolidge-finale-host/
  6. Update: It looks like the Trucks doc has been moved to June and the doc "After Uvalde: Guns, Grief & Texas Politics" will be shown on the 30th. Also, Frontline doc "Once Upon a Time in Fallujah" will be shown on the 23rd Regarding the streaming 5 part doc series "Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland", it looks like that will drop on May 22
  7. The cancer storyline is dark and difficult material but I agree that it’s so well done and is really making this a terrific season I’m surprised a Black Canary got cancer and can’t fight it off naturally but maybe I assume too much
  8. Uh oh, the hospital is changing to for-profit. I guess they’ll be ignoring the poor and uninsured folks or quickly transferring them to another hospital The deaf patient with the voices was interesting. I had always assumed that the voices with schizophrenics were always negative. I’m glad to see Archer finally accept a kidney from his sin
  9. I’m not sure I understand the decision for so few live weeks; it looks like only 2 live weeks when the viewing audience gets involved before the 2 night finale. They’ve been cutting down on the live performance nights for a couple of seasons now and that reduces the chance of these performers getting enough exposure and gaining fans via voting. It’s just self sabotaging. Maybe the ratings have just decreased too much for NBC and they want to get the show off sooner
  10. Most enjoyed: Noivas (advanced) Kala Jamar Grace (advanced) Ray (advanced) I’m really impressed by Noivas. I think I’ve liked him from the start or close to it. He comes across as a quiet meek guy until he sings and then he’s a powerhouse. Country could use someone like him, especially since it has so few people of color, but I’m not sure what lane he gravitates to. If he wins or gets close to it, I can see him becoming a real star if he gets the right support Some people wobbled too much for me, like Manessah I don’t know about Sorelle. Their performance felt like too much this week and their act generally gives me a corny old timey vibe, like a poster above saying an act from the 80s. But it generally feels older than that, like the 50s or 60s, or maybe something you would see on a 70s variety show
  11. Taylor Kinney will miss the rest of the season https://www.givememyremote.com/remote/2023/05/02/when-is-taylor-kinney-returning-to-chicago-fire/
  12. It would seem “Mike” the kidney procurer was being sloppy and I assume the doctor was assuming the kidneys were being matched
  13. Next doc is in June with 4-parter "The Luckiest Guy in the World" about NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton. Parts 1 & 2 will be shown on ESPN on Tuesday June 6 at 8pm ET and Parts 3 & 4 will be shown on Tuesday June 13 at 8pm ET. The series will premiere on streaming service ESPN+ immediately after the linear premiere. Also, a companion podcast starting May 8 Press release http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2023/05/02/espn-films-latest-30-for-30-the-luckiest-guy-in-the-world-about-nba-hall-of-famer-bill-walton-premieres-june-6-and-13-302514/20230502espn01/
  14. Plus they have a child together and marriage or some legal partnership makes sense to ensure the child is taken care of plus help reduce some expenses, like taxes
  15. Same with me! Or at least close to that S/L
  16. And they remarked that Dottie had recovered from her stroke after posters here had commented about it. Seems she’s bored now Christina was left holding the bag though, with her mom staying permanently instead of a temporary thing
  17. The irony is that the studio making the show is 20th Century Fox television (now 20th Television), which was owned by…Fox before Rupert Murdoch sold off nearly all of 21st Century Fox’s assets except for the Fox network
  18. I’m not sure Malcolm should be dating his professor
  19. Jesse Spencer returning for finale https://www.givememyremote.com/remote/2023/05/01/chicago-fire-jesse-spencer-season-11-finale/
