  1. I don’t need to see another round of Nik kidnapping Esmé.

Sonny is acting like a mobster who’s wife cheated on him with his best friend, not like someone who found out she reported a crime he was in no way involved with.

Beating a guy to a pulp, even if it’s Cyrus, IN CHURCH, is a crime he should pay dearly for, but won’t.

I see we’re back to Mafia General just in time for a return.

I muted most of the Carly/Nina/Drew convo, hearing C. say N. should’ve known her mom had passed was enough for me. I see it got much worse.

Bobbie’s passing will be all about Sonny and Carly. Yuck.

I had hopes for this show. Emphasis on had.

I think that would originally have been JOsslyn, but with Eden out because of her mother's passing, they gave it to Drew.

I would’ve preferred Olivia, whom I can’t even stand, but they had to have the SEC crap hit the fan at the same time.

The tree decorating as a trigger made perfect sense. Good job, show!

Wonder if this means we’ll see Nik again.

    Called it.

Have to say, of all the people harping about reporting a crime being worse than the crime, I can see how Sonny as a mobster, would see “the ratting” as a non-negotiable offense.

Love Nina’s black dress, not so much Ava’s fuchsia coat and lipstick.

I really appreciated the JZ flashbacks and having LH, GF, and KS reminisce together. I wish I could’ve watched LW more, but CM was insufferable.

I would love to see Nina helping Carly through her grief and not have them at each other’s throats for a change, sadly I see a Sonny/Carly reunion instead. 🤮

Willow waking up to Michael’s deceit was wonderful though.

I wish the call to Carly re Bobbie dying hadn't been mixed up with Drew coming back.  That deserved its own moment.

I agree. It was also weird to have the announcement was followed by no preview scenes but fun Holiday music accompanying the year-end credits.

RS was really rocking that weird NYE outfit but her makeup was more House of Horrors. I hope this is not how the visit of a legacy character ends, because that’s quite damning.

They really milked that “Nina did it” thing. Never saw someone take so long to meet up w/ her SO on NYE.

Is his character on DOOL still wearing those loud outfits? I didn't really watch that show when it was still on broadcast TV, but I did often notice when GR was on because of the insane clothes his character wore. He was like Salem's version of the Joker. (From Batman, not a deck of cards. 😉)

The Joker is a very good way to describe his character, clothes included.

  6. Hello, everyone!

In the spirit of the Holidays I thought I should watch a few episodes. I loved CZ on ATWT but couldn’t master the courage to watch an imprisoned and now drunk (again!) Nikki.

I would’ve preferred CZ as a recurrIng corporate mogul since Y&R can’t get over the corporate aspect which is rinse, repeat, boring with Tucker being the villain, again and Kyle being an annoying ping pong ball.  At least she would’ve given the joint some much needed class.

Speaking of rinse repeat, although I don’t mind Cricket, Danny is so cringe and Phyllis butting in… Yuck.

It was nice to see Lauren and Michael (and the actor looking so healthy), although they looked quite orange on my screen - bed scenes require it apparently.

I don’t know why I expected better of Christmas episodes.

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year filled with health and laughter.

P.S. In spite of being 100% sober, I mistakenly posted this text in the backstage thread - apologies for duplication, but double the wishes!

  8. The priest is still alive, the Cyrus character can live another day! His advice to Nina wasn’t bad, even if it was completely self-serving.

I hate the fact that Nina rambled on tried to tell Carly the truth and she reacted by acting sh*tty, a repetition of Nina trying to tell her Sonny was alive. Rinse, repeat. Yuck.

Not sure why so many people had to head over to Wyndemere to… pick up a red glove. Ho, ho, ho.

Disappointed in the Esmé dénouement. Ditch the other glove, E!

Yes, if they use Kristina's eggs the process isn't IVF, rather IUI (intrauterine insemination), where the sperm is inserted directly into the uterus.  The only time restriction would be knowing when Kristina is ovulating.

So Kristina and TJ will have a fully biological child and Molly… will not. I'm seeing a storyline coming and don't like it.

  10. Damn. Jane Elliott even looks gorgeous with lighted Christmas antlers on her head.

Poor KW having to utter a nonsense excuse about Mac not being there, knowing why JJY wasn’t on set.

We’ll see on Tuesday what Silas Cyrus did with the priest. Will he be irredeemable or not? Mind you, listening to someone’s confession is very gross in itself.

    Happy Holidays everyone.

Sparing special thoughts for anyone struggling through this time.

  11. They had Stephanie sleep (maybe?) with Harris? WHY? It wasn’t sexy or anything, it wasn’t even on screen. Why?

To get pregnant?! To have Ava go back to being a homicidal maniac from jealousy?

    Just yuck.

I skipped all the heart wrenching scenes between Nicole and EJ. I hate this stolen baby story. SO. MUCH. and knew they would break my heart for nothing.

I do like how supportive EJ is being, and used to almost enjoy Eric with Sloan and breaking the two couples up contributes to my storyline hatred.

Interesting that the show ended on Esme remembering rather than EvilWSB stalking Anna and Dante. Esme remembering is a more subtle story than this show usually goes for.

It's weird that they honored the first and latest of this slew of GH losses, but did little or nothing for Jackie and Billy?

It was also cringe to me to have Valenti (looking like a ghost and seeming to have concentration issues) acknowledge Sonia and a BTS person who died this year, but not TC, BM, or especially JZ.

Robert Gossett saying his son passed this year, with Kristina Wagner (and Jack) also losing their son just over a year ago, the show has had so many terribly sad events.

On another note, it was lovely to see Kelly Thiebaud looking gorgeous happy to be there, acknowledging a vet.

I wasn’t a fan of how her ark ended, but Alley Mills looks fantastic and in a good place accepting her award. “A serial killer with a heart of gold” does sum up Heather pretty well 😂. (I would’ve liked to see her acknowledge Robin Mattson along with Valenti (and IIRC, he wasn’t the character creator at all, but that’s just me being picky.)

Thinking of JJ York and hoping for his continued good health, the original clips of him and Felicia followed by a current scene of them together was lovely.

  14. LIESL!!! Yesss!

I hope the breakup doesn’t mean that we’ll never see her again.

Love to have Jane Elliott back too but wish it would’ve started the JZ tribute.  I guess instead, calls will be received by Carly at some point to highlight LW. Sigh…

I was wondering if Tracy was reacting to something about Bobbie.

I thought the same thing. As much as I love Jane Elliott, I’m not sure why we had scenes of her mourning Luke, outside of making it the reason why she’ll be a grinch to Olivia and Lois.

And I’m a grinch to O&L too because man that was a boring convo.

An essentially boring episode that felt like Dec. 23 when we have weeks to go before then, so weird.

Its only redeeming quality is that Anna and Valentin, the world’s biggest doofus, are finally done. Suffering through Valentin’s ridiculous arguments was a pain though.

Diane should be professional enough to be civil to Gregory even if she is on the other side of the case.

    (…)

Why is the show torturing me with Robert/Diane? They just don't fit as a couple. Both deserve better.

If it wasn’t for his illness, I could see Gregory and Diane giving it shot instead.

WSB/Pikeman guy gave off creepy more than flirty today. I don’t want creepy. I want hot and mysterious and I’ll probably have to find it somewhere else…
