  1. I hope Brennan stabbing himself means that we’ll see him more often on screen. Doesn’t seem like he ran it by his boss Valentin before doing it though…

Maxie looked great in her dress but Brooklyn’s skirt was too meringue for me. I did enjoy Maxie’s toast though and her interactions with Spinelli and Natalia.

I’ve recently been called a GH hater so I’m trying to discuss positives before I have to stop watching again.

I don’t think Dex will press charges against Sonny and the attack will be the start of the “you haven’t been drugged enough” fix.

Perhaps the storyline could’ve originally been a long fall from grace and then redemption, but I don’t see it happening now.

  2. I’m very disappointed to hear this. I really enjoyed the better dialogue and had a lot of hope pinned on PM but clearly he was hampered by legacy people. Korte was bad enough but having Chris remain after he was supposedly fired and then Alley Mills inadvertently telling us he never left, the writing was on the wall (no pun intended).

I know having most characters changing jobs and Anna and Laura changing their minds about Sonny was weird and I wasn’t a fan of Blaze and her bigoted mom, but with newJagger, gorgeous Brennan, Nina getting her spine back, Tracy in all her glory, etc., GH was still more enjoyable to me than Mafia Hospital with the triangle from hell (Carly/Jason/Sonny).

I know the ratings were down but I also wonder if the triangle actors were complaining.

  3. Something I never thought I’d say: “I’m having more fun watching Sonny and the many women in his life than the Quatermaine shenanigans”.

I couldn’t stand Kate Mansi as Abigail on Days of Our Lives. But even after enjoying the last actress in the role, I really like KM as Kristina on GH.  She’s doing a great at job and has chemistry with her costars.

    Same!

Why is Anna turning into a bully? First with Molly, now Dante. And tomorrow’s previews have her crying. It’s almost like Valentin has messed with her meds too but as far as I know, she isn’t taking any.

Cynthia has revived a previously flopped recast in CM.

She certainly has, right after reviving a dead as a doornail Sonny.

The actress is a treasure and I hope GH recognizes it.

  5. Carly’s dress is from last year, I remember it. Sasha looked gorgeous in hers and similar dresses are usually very comfortable so I’m #TeamTealDress.

In spite of the new refreshing styling trend on the show (yeah, colours!), I do agree that most stylists are challenged by women who aren’t both slim and tall and rarely rise to the occasion.

I’m also enjoying the truths bombs actor are finally able to say in their dialogue (the Ava/Nina confrontation- chef’s kiss!)

But where’s John? Are the writers already tired of this storyline?

He’s my third favourite person to see on, after Tracy and Adorable Ace.

Over a year of hearing her howl about how she wouldn't take it or the money for it from anyone and Jason blinks three times and she gets giggly and acts like he gave her his class ring.  Pathetic.

Joss crying to Anna, Anna being a snit to Molly, Lois dictating plus-ones: not a good day for the woman folk of PC.

We can add Nina being delusional about Sonny too.

  7. I understand why Sonny is all over the emotional map, but what’s happening with Anna?

Tristan seemed quite frail in his last scenes which might be why Robert can’t have a major role in prosecuting Sonny (or not), but Anna went unhinged in trying to convince Molly to do it.

Are we supposed to think it’s because of Joss’ funeral tirade?

Or did Valentin do something to her off screen?

Come to think of it, everyone was so emotional today including, of all people, Jason.

  8. I watched the ABC version and a bit of the CityTV version while doing others things so I’m now totally confused.

I liked the Laura/Cyrus - new writers have thankfully moved him away from radio preacher guy plot and she wants him to press charges against Sonny.

    Maxie/Felicia - cute convo.

Ava meeting with Sonny - stabbing Nina in the back yet not telling us anything about her motives.

    Sonny/Brick - muted.

    Jordan/Brick - muted.

    TJ/Gregory - why?

  9. Finally watched all of Season 2.

Cannot stand Maddie being a cop and the actress playing tough (working in a law office was a much better fit). She was good in the buried alive scenes but I had to skip most of ep 1-2 because I hate, hate, buried alive plots (most recently seen in Silent Witness). Hate them.

I did however see the ridiculousness of having Bosch and Honey go by themselves with her wearing a blazer and holding her purse (!) to save the day.

Love Mimi Kennedy but not a fan of the dark colour clashing with a normally aging beautiful face. She makes the Honey/Maddie scenes so enjoyable and I like the easy chemistry her character has with Bosch.

Can’t wait to see Honey as the new DA, but I’m sad for her betraying her longtime friend and losing that friendship. I watched both Bosch series and can’t remember how that could possibly be acceptable collateral damage.

Seeing Lance Reddick one last time. 😭😭😭

Very happy Mo isn’t as dumb as most of the season made him look. They didn’t tell us when he figured it out, but I think the FBI asking him to inform on the undercover agent plus Honey and Bosch with no connection between them would’ve given away the gig. Glad his character took precautions either way.

Bosch should talk about having a death wish. Both him and his daughter are oblivious to risk when pursuing “bad people” and it makes them both look like total idiots most of the time, which I’m not fond of at all.

Lastly, very sorry Max Martini’s character was such a bad guy because he is a very fine looking man.

Tamara Braun was my favorite Carly.  Of course, only Sarah Brown’s Carly ever had a romantic relationship with Jason if you can call it that.  But Tamara and her vulnerability could pull it off.  I just can’t see it with Laura’s Carly.

For having seen Tamara and SB trying to get it on on the other soap, he would have to give a lot more to the pairing because it was really one directional and they moved away for the pairing quite quickly.

Looks like they are trying to build up this bantering relationship between Drew and Nina, which is fun and different, except the dialogue is so stupid. The storyline was stupid when Nina constantly was putting her self in situations for Carly's rants and now she is in her office taking this crap from Drew, who would ever do that? They can banter but change the topic!!

Yes, we’re not at the level of fun banter yet (Drew’s dig about Nina being alone was disgusting), but I like the fact that she was allowed to fight back and tell truth bombs herself. I much prefer this Nina to her pitifully taking it.

In the scene with Anna and Jason, there seemed to be a lot of focus on both how long Jason had been working for the FBI, and the exact date that Britt died. Is it possible that Britt still had other things that could have gotten her jailed again, and he's just now finding out he was protecting a dead woman?

This would’ve been a 10,000 times better scenario than the lame “protecting Carly” even if the result would’ve been the same for his mom and the kids.

If you're not on Twitter, Charles Mesure and Adam Harrington were a delight this past week. Bantering with each about their characters.  Now, that's how you do Twitter PR for your show.

Thanks for pointing me in this direction- they are fun. CM even RTd MB saying he hasn’t had this much fun acting “in a long time”.

I hope that both the John and the Brennan characters can stick around.

  14. With all the abuse stories on filming sets (including a fellow soap for a long time), hot sex scenes are harder for my brain to get into period.

A few years ago I thought the Jason/Britt sex was fine and before that Julian (William deVry then in his mid to late 40s), was really hot in the way he carried himself and I could totally believe Alexis (NLG in her 50s) was totally into him.

Valentin/Anna (50s/60s) wore much less clothing but did nothing for me in bedroom scenes despite good choreography.

Things don’t have to get graphic, Liesl/Scotty, Lucy/Martin were more fun that hot but they played it as enjoying themselves fully and I liked that aspect a lot.

I'm going to be the lone outlier on this, but I rather like Carly and Jason together. At least when it seems like SBu is actually working a bit rather than borging. Admittedly, I haven't watched GH regularly since way way way back so I have missed most of Jason's pairings.

I agree. I think Carly sparked a bit with Brennan, but the Carson pairing was painful and her and Drew made my teeth hurt.

Although LW/SB will never go to the hotness level of Sarah Brown’s Carly and SB, when together they cancel each other’s worst traits (him flat boring, her screetchingly entitled) and that’s fine.

To me, seeing Sam or Liz go back to Jason would be a regression (although I think RH deserved a better romance partner than ME can provide).

Tristan really does not look well and I'm very concerned.

Same. Despite keeping the twinkle in his eyes (love him to pieces), he’s been looking and sounding much more frail in his scenes.

That was deliberate on Jason's part, though. He doesn't want to tell Sonny or Carly what the FBI is holding over him, so it's easier to say he's protecting himself. Given that it likely involves stupid Michael, Carly, at least, will fall all over Jason to thank him for keeping them safe. Depending on where things are with Sonny, he might give Jason a grudging thanks.

Someone on another board said he didn’t want to say names in front of Ava. I thought it made sense at the time but why mention the FBI to Sonny at all then.

I’m just happy I don’t know what will happen, watching is much more fun this way.

Maybe I just missed it, but why is Brennan cooling his heels in prison when strings could be pulled to get him out and hide him somewhere? Is he just there as cover to throw people off about Pikeman or was he getting intel for Pikeman? I wouldn’t put it past Val to have him shanked in prison to get rid of him (ETA: Never mind on the last as I hadn’t watched to the end, it seems the guard let him go)

I don’t understand this either and worried Brennan was only brought back to  be killed. I think the guard brought him back to the prison.

What did the guard sign at the end to Brennan? My very rusty signing ability suggests he indicated Brennan needed to go thataway to meet Val or Val had set up a place for him to stay? I assume Brennan’s surprised reaction was because it turns out the guard couldn’t hear all his jabbering or his and Val’s discussion

Yes, assume he was trying to make better contact with him and realized he was wasting his time as he hadn’t heard anything.

  19. The writing is now top notch and I’m enjoying most of what’s on my screen.

Happy to see Brennan back but don’t understand why he’s still in jail instead of running Pikeman, especially if Val doesn’t want to be linked the organization.

In case there’s any doubt, yes I much rather have Brennan on my screen than Val.

Curious to find out how he convinced Ava to get w/ his program and shun her bestie and risk Avery blowback.

As big an ass as Sonny is, it was hardly out of the norm that he would want to spend the time with his son who’s in a coma.

He kept saying this, but he’s been in his living room with Ava all week. 😂

  22. I thought John was being snarky to Carly by apologizing for thinking she was harbouring a fugitive, because he was now in custody.

At least that’s how I play it in my head.

I would love this. Also, good luck with your new hip Heather, if Jason finds out you’re her murderer.

Ideally, he would also never forgive Joss and Dex for abandoning Britt on the pier.

  23. The “flashback” in the last minutes better not mean Jason/Carly/Sonny will be treated has as heroes for overcoming the bad FBI/Pikeman.

Also, don’t you try to take away sexy Beach Boy Jagger from me, show!

  24. Well, today was anticlimactic. I would have preferred Jason stay with Carly (or anyone, really) rather than involve his son.

And yeah, as Danny said, at this point a bathroom first aid kit won’t help.

Heather Killer of Britt and future kidnapper of Ace (writing on the wall in bright lights) has overstayed her welcome.
