All I know is I re-watched the media-training episode from last season, and she was great. She talked about her pet pig.

I don't get it either. Why are they doing this? There have been enough guest choreographers who've praised her by name. They don't need to screw with the editing too. This just shows that there's an agenda they're trying to push.

And the year that Holly and Erica both left, they had at least three rookies performing at some show group thing for Jerry Jones. Kalyssa, Lauren, and someone else I can't remember.

These doggies need to be out of the heat. 😞

She is. I have no issues with her look, like some posters do. But she looks better more natural.

It was so forced. All of the dialogue felt so insincere and stilted. I've been watching old seasons, and she looks so much better now--in her face, I mean. What did she do? Is it just the hair?

And when the show addressed it, she seemed defensive about it. Like, oh, I didn't know any better but I guess I should have. WTH!

Watching season 6 (I think?) now on Pluto, and saw a flash of Whitney, remembered how she went in black face to a Halloween party, and got pissed all over again.

It really should be a 21 minimum age requirement. I know there have been some great youngin's in the past (Lacey), but the cheerleaders should look like women, not little girls.

Random question: why didn't they show calendar shoot this season?

Because of her weight. It was too obvious. If she looked like she does now last year, she absolutely would have made it. No denying she looks really good this year. I think she's really pretty, actually.

This is the thing. VK doesn't have to stand out. She will automatically be noticed because of who she is. And during deliberations, the judges--consciously or not--are going to want to vote her in because of who she is and what she means to Kelli (and some of them, as well). It is what it is, but let's not claim she's in the top 18 dance or performance-wise.

OMG, this. I'm not a dancer, but this is exactly what I see. Her movements are heavy, uncontrolled. To my untrained eye, she looks fine--even good--in the DCC power pom style. But she does not have the same technique as the rest of the dancers on Show Group. Even rookie Taylor seemed to out-dance her at the SG auditions.

I'm telling you, it feels like we're being gaslighted. They're trying to convince us that VK is the best of the best. And I'm sure a lot of passive viewers buy it.

I think it's both. From past Show Group performances we've seen on the show, they do big corporate events, special events for the Cowboys, and other paid performances. I think the main reason they need to be the best dancers on the team is because they have to adapt quickly to last-minute changes and/or stage space.

Hard disagree with this. To each his own, but Jalyn is clearly one of the most technical dancers they have.

Also just want to say that if Kelli cut Jalyn from Show Group because of some nonsense with VK, it's completely passive aggressive not to tell her why. If it's a punishment for some 'supposed' bad behavior (like Jenna being pulled as point and made to sit out for the HOF game), then freaking TELL her that. Otherwise, you're just creating an atmosphere of anxiety and distrust.

Oh, man. I just watched that season again on Pluto, and for the life of me, I can't understand why they even brought Colby into finals if they were that against her from the start. I know she only made TC because of the fan vote (which Kelli didn't hesitate to tell her), but she wouldn't have had the chance to get there if they'd cut her at semis. She seemed like a sweet person, very sophisticated and mature, and if they didn't like her look, they shouldn't have let her get that far. I feel for her. Imagine how difficult it must have been to hear Kelli saying those things about her face on TV. And undeserved too. Yes, she was underweight and had lip fillers. But she was still a beautiful woman--just not the DCC look. Back on topic--Jalyn. Fabulous dancer, one of my favorite rookies last season, and you could tell by how she behaved in the office that she was completely perplexed about the whole thing. It's messed up. And did anyone else notice that VK seemed less than surprised when her name was called for Show Group? Like she expected to get it. I wasn't impressed with her turns across the stage. It looked like she almost fell out of one and went into a roll to cover it up--I don't know what the dance terms for these things are. But there was a marked difference between her and the badass dancers like Daphne, Caroline, Bridget, JALYN, and Ashlee (who brought it!).

I agree with this. It was strange. There's definitely something we don't know--more to the story. And Jalyn comported herself well in the office too.

Also, Alexandra. 😞 Poor baby. She handled herself well.

Daphne. Good lawd that leap during Show Group auditions. Jaw on the floor. And she's never been one of my favorites. Other stand-outs: Hannah (of course), Ashlee (YAY!), Kelsey, Amanda, Bridget, and from what I saw, JAYLYN. She always brings it. I don't get it. 😞

And, sadly, still is. I hear she’s even worse now that she’s been given a spot on the team. #illegitimatedcc Can you elaborate? What does she do to piss everyone off?

Watching season 12, I realized that when they announced the four group leaders and they said Erika's name, they showed Kashara instead. LOL

The only song I hear over and over is that terrible “Meet Me in Vegas” or whatever the hell it is. And then the singer starts chanting, V E G A S! My ears are bleeding.
