Dillards still keeping a lower profile. Jill posted a picture on IG of Derick with Freddy but it is a month old. https://www.instagram.com/p/CiK-VZsArKf/

Glad they are keeping it low key but would like to know how the boys are doing in new school. Also would be fun to see pictures  of  Michelle helping out when Jill had her surgery. I am sure JB would not "allow it".

Looks like a genuine smile from Derick.  He seems to have “grown into” parenting, and enjoys his kids.

  2. I listened to the “So Long, Farewell” performance on Reddit.  It cracked up whe Sam sang “But firmly they repel us”.  If there’s any family I would want to repel, it would be this one.  They sang the first part of the song SO slowly, but the Not Nurie who began it does have a pretty voice.  BME must not have been able to learn the piano part that is played in between each of the kids’ part because she got the first few notes right then seemed to make up her own version.  That was also a terrible sounding piano - very tinny.  Sam held Janessa through most of the song as if she were a toddler but put her down at the end. They had very weird timing throughout the song and didn’t come in on the bar that you would expect them, but waited each time.  Tessie looked over it through the entire song - poor kid was probably dying of embarrassment.  How sad that all of them are forced into BME’s dreams of being a famous musical act, and never being allowed to pursue their own interests, or even have any.  I hope at least some of those kids can break free.

  3. Recovery time for gall bladder removal depends on whether or not the surgery was laparoscopic.  When I had mine out, the surgeon said recovery is about a week with some lift restrictions if it was laparoscopic.  But if they couldn’t do that, and I needed an open surgery (which they wouldn’t know until they started), it would be about a 6-8 week recovery.  I was very glad it was laparoscopic but I can’t imagine if I had to take care of a newborn after that.  Getting up from a sitting position was very painful.  Plus I get really sick from anesthesia, no matter what they give me.  So surgery recovery for me can be somewhat difficult.  Not going to knock Jill for having help, especially if she did have an open surgery.

I am beyond grossed out by the bare feet and what looks like a very wet diaper IN A FRIDGE!  Where you keep food.  That you fully intend to eat.

That being said, he and our neighbor’s son could be twins.

The Rodlet girls are barefoot so often their feet probably don’t bother them when they are biking. Between shoes that are too large or flip flops or barefoot, barefoot isn’t so bad!

A larger picture on Reddit shows that they’re biking in the rain.  On the road, in the rain, barefoot, no helmets.  It doesn’t take a lot to wipe out off a bike on wet pavement.  But a couple of daughters in the hospital gives BME more grifting opportunities!  Big time road rash, a broken bone here and there, concussions - will those bring in better money than a stroke?  (And I hate that I even typed that, but should something have happened to those girls, I’m sure Jillpm would have been busy calculating on her chubby little fingers just how much money their injuries were worth.)

  6. So glad to see Anna again.  I can’t take my eyes off her when she dances.  She should not have been eliminated when she was.  Would have been happy with either winner tonight, but Alexis really shined. Well deserved.

Haven’t watched the whole show yet (I was already spoiled for the winner and I approve) but needed to comment after the Keaton/Anna contemporary. It reinforced my feelings about Anna- she was voted out entirely too early. I could not take my eyes off of her during their dance.

We must have posted at the exact same time.  Totally agree about Anna.

  7. I wonder if Nurthans are moving to have another bedroom for the new baby.  But it seems weird not to take their furniture unless they are purchasing a fully furnished home.

Has anybody commented on Jill’s SM that they should get jobs instead of begging for money?  I’m blocked from even seeing her FB page (I’m guessing she probably saw some comment I made on some other snark page) and I think her IG is private, so I only know about what she posts through you all.  I imagine she’s glued to her phone, though, quickly deleting comments that dare to suggest they get jobs like the rest of us.  Evil awful woman.

  8. I like Beau but there’s no way Waverly should have gone before him.  Beau’s solo really showed off his lack of extension.  Raylynn has never stood out to me where Anna has - and I also really thought Anna’s solo was the best of the night.  Alexis sold that dance much more than Carter.  And wow, Essence and her mom look exactly alike.

All in all, this season has been a disappointment.  And I loved this show and couldn’t wait to watch each week.  I certainly wouldn’t buy tickets if any tour came to my city this year.

Ivy may be at the stage of picking her own clothes and wanted to wear a pretty dress. I'm sure she has shorts underneath, so she's just as dressed for a walk as the boys. It seems they pretty much stayed on the path, so sandals with socks aren't any less than sneakers, to me.

She has white leggings on.  Can’t tell if they’re knee length or rolled up but you can see them a a couple of pics.

I notice Jill is too busy taking pictures to actually DO the laundry.   Seriously the whole family had to go?

Because they have to show what a close loving family they are, who just can’t bear to be apart, and because god knows none of those kids can be home alone for a minute without falling into the hands of satan.  Or maybe they were expecting the second coming of Lord Daniel of the Laundromat!

I wonder which poor kid got the lucky job of washing and folding GWE’s tighty whities.

  11. I like Jordan.  I think she is very well trained and due to that makes things look effortless.  I’m not sure her choreography has challenged her that much and maybe that’s part of why she didn’t get the votes last night.   I also don’t remember her getting much broadcast time during the auditions.   Carter and Raylyn do absolutely nothing for me, and so far neither have Thiago and Essence, although I loved Essence in the audition rounds.  I think Virginia was the right woman to go, but I wish Carter had gone instead of Jim.  I like Jim but agree with Waverly staying if they had to make a choice between the two.  I’ve liked Anna since her original audition, and while she and Beau are a great partnership, I would love to see her with other partners too.  Keaton is still my favorite (and would love to see him and Anna do a number together), and he REALLY reminded me of Patrick Swayze last night, in the Dirty Dancing scene where we first see him dance with his blonde partner.  Patrick was still sexier though…

  12. God, I would love to call her or comment on her blog that she is not owed all the money she thinks people should give her.  Most adults work to pay the bills and try to have some funds set aside for an emergency (try being the key word - our emergency fund is pretty much a joke right now).  She and GWE can get jobs just like the rest of us.  Tell her to prioritize her children for a change - take them shopping for clothes that fit, buy them each a nice toy and book, feed them, bathe them, get them to bed at a decent hour.  Allow them to play, have friends and just be kids, not her little money makers.  Tell her to take her kids and the Nurthans off social media (since it seems like the Nurthans aren’t interested in SM).  Tell her to stop judging people by their appearance and before she gets a chance to see who they really are.  Tell her to look around at others in need and then help without broadcasting it on SM.  Allow her kids an education.

I could go on and on but of course she would have hung up on me, blocked me and then cried persecution once again.  Evil woman.

  13. I don’t know all the names yet (or am too lazy right now to go back and look) but I was underwhelmed by much of last night’s show.  1st dance - woman seemed too soft and mismatched with her partner.  Of course we’ll see how he does when/if they get to a contemporary piece.  Umbrella dance was good but I wanted more from it.  Beau and partner - I loved.  They sold that dance, had great personality and looked like they were having a ball.  Jive seemed lacking in energy and connection.  Essence - who decided that floral wreath was a good look?  I agree that her partner was given much more to do, where she felt muted.  Loved Keaton and partner and really couldn’t take my eyes off of him.  They are going to be a fun pair to watch.

I will continue to watch the show but miss Nigel, and wish they had replaced MM with a dancer or choreographer.  I think JoJo grew up a lot in the course of her DWTS season but it still feels like she needs a few years and some additional maturity before judging on this show.  I think she’s a naturally loud person (and from her back stories on DWTS, it seems her entire family is loud), which I get but for me it gets old quickly.  She does know dance but she’s still only 19.

I don’t feel like we really know much about most of these dancers yet.  As posted by somebody upthread, I hope we get to see the behind the scenes of them working with the choreographers.  I want to learn more about them as people, and the one day rushed choreography show in the auditions didn’t give us much.

Nigel always said he wants his men to dance masculine. I agree with him. Partner dancing is a lot of role playing. Heels guy will not convince me he is hot for his woman in a hot steamy partner dance.

The other gay men in past seasons have done it.  We don’t know for sure until we’ve seen him in that role.  Again, I don’t think he has the dance talent to make the top 12 but I’m not going to judge his ability to dance a masculine role based on the little bit we’ve seen.  Who was the contestant a few years ago who auditioned in drag, made it to Hollywood, did the first couple dances during Hollywood week in drag, then danced a ballroom round in a typical man’s costume and shocked the judges with how good he was?  People can surprise you.

And those people should not be in the final 24, IMHO. I value Nigel's expertise. For example.........the guy who auditioned in heels would certainly not have gone this far if Nigel was on the judge's panel and Nigel would be right in cutting him! Heels guy is overtly feminine and his body type is not typical of a dancer. He is not lithe like a dancer. He should not be there.

While I agree he is not one of the best dancers, and more talented dancers have been cut before him, what difference does it make that he’s overtly feminine?  That has nothing to do with anybody’s dancing ability.  There have been plenty of gay men and women on this show who have been able to dance and perform what the choreographers gave them and take on the role required of that dance.  While I don’t think this particular man will be able to dance whatever’s given to him, his sexuality, femininity or masculinity do not impact his skill as a dancer.

Exactly, it's the "look" they were going for. The whole "tiny baby" in a flower pot thing started the trend. Hopefully this is not how he is swaddled at home. I teach hospital based childbirth classes as a side gig leftover from my first career. We still teach swaddling as do our postpartum nurses - but obviously not photo style swaddling. Jed and Katey presumably were instructed about this before discharge.

I understand swaddling and that the photo shoot swaddle is completely different.  I just find the pictures so strange looking, like ‘where’s the rest of the baby?’

15 minutes of sit down school is fine for a 3 year old. I imagine she is teaching throughout the day in other ways as most engaged moms do.

Agreed.  Kids that age learn best through play.  They don’t need workbooks or flash cards.  Play, exploration, being read to and engaging in conversations are what they need, not “school”.
