But really, that stack of cash Todd handed Riley COULDN"T have been $1's right?  Momma Joyce was ALL OVER THAT STACK!  Seems like she'd get like that over a stack of $5's... or $10's..... But $1's????

    Hmmmm..... Possibly!

As a former banker, it looked like a purple strap of 20’s. 2 grand.

  2. Ehh. I didn’t like Christmas Chronicles 2 as much as I loved the first one but I hate the trope of creating an “evil villain” when it’s not necessary. I also liked Santa’s musical number better in the first one. You can just tell me the story of people losing their Christmas Spirit over and over again without creating an “evil villain”. I’m easy like that. I think The Santa Claus handled part two of their franchise pretty well but after that when they had to bring in the Tooth Fairy, Jack Frost, Father Time, etc. it was too much.

We family watched Disney’s Noelle for the first time last night and I liked it. The younger kids had trouble paying attention and my oldest (11) just asked questions the whole time but I thought it was cute.

  3. I’ve had no problem finding flour or yeast. Although I only started needing them until this month. December I go crazy cooking. Oddly enough one thing I can’t find that drives me crazy is that shower spray that you spray and leave when you are done showering. 🤷‍♀️

I can cook savory food pretty good so it’s always been a personal challenge of mine to be able to work with dough. I find I lack the patience. I love a good sourdough bread so I started my first ever “starter” a few days ago. It’s smelly but not bubbly yet 🤷‍♀️. I’m on day four. I made several loves of Challah over Thanksgiving and impressed myself so I’m hoping to get some sourdough going soon! Tomorrow I’m planning on making beef pot pie. I made the dough last week and froze it so the jury’s still out on if it was successful. I’ll find out tomorrow!

  4. My cable company is having a fight with CBS or somebody so I’ve had to pay extra for the CBS app just to watch this and happily I can now stop. Except of course if the Panthers game happens to be on CBS but usually it’s on Fox so I should be good. The alliance thing is bullshit and I wasn’t upset at Deangello’s attitude at the mat. Yes he should have not said what he did but I’d probably be pretty salty too. I followed his career in football and he’s really a good guy. I hope the boyfriends lose miserably as I think they did the least amount of work in the alliance to get to the final three. I won’t tune in to find out.

  5. Well the Panthers finally won a game! With at least two of their starters benched. Maybe that’s a sign. I’ve never understood the Bridgewater signing. 🤷‍♀️

Feel bad for Burrow. I don’t follow college football at all but last January I went to a VA Tech game because they were playing at Panthers stadium and my cousin plays in their marching band. I don’t even remember who they were playing but I digress. I’m a completionist so I watched the rest of the college season at home and saw the talent Burrow had. I was interested to see where his career took him.

  6. I’m already having a hard time with the struggling musician trope. Tonight’s movie makes the third (?) movie with a stringed instrumentalist struggling in some way or other. Maybe because I’m a musician myself that has been unable to play with my group (I play in a flute choir) or even practice at home because of my kids being on zooms all day or never leaving my side to give me a moment alone due to COVID I just can’t even pretend to watch these even though they have at least one likeable lead.

So far I’ve noticed struggling musicians or struggling blogger/vlogger/writer seems to be key in these movies.

I’m a sucker for time travel so I am looking forward to Sunday’s offering!

DeAngelo was a bit salty at the last task, just assuming he would have conquered it immediately and they would have been leaders.  He was not very patient.  There's confidence, and there's arrogance.  DeAngelo didn't display any confidence in his partner

Gary did the best he could.

I agree with that. I was unspoiled going into this season who any of the racers were and recognized DeAngelo immediately. I’m a huge Panthers fan so that instantly gave me a team to pull for. Have no idea who his teammate is. I liked the interviews they had together and that they seem to be real friends.

    Yes.

    They could be the Jets.

Not only did the Panthers lose miserably the only player who can seem to score points (McCaffrey) was benched with an injury. I love him for my team but hate watching what he goes through every week. Bridgewater is a mess. Three turnovers this game. Nuts!

I didn't see this episode, but I live in Asheville.  When we first moved here we learned very quickly to keep our garage door closed at all times so the bears won't come and snack on what's in our garbage can.  We've heard of car doors getting ripped off by bears seeking food. I doubt a bungee cord will deter them. (There are special anti-bear garbage cans, but they cost a fortune.)  Off to find this episode on demand!

Hi there! We live in Asheville too- actually Leicester. Approximately 3 miles outside of city limits where homes are (were) much more affordable. Can’t walk to downtown but back in 2009 when we bought our home we paid about  $185,000 for it. 1900 sq. Ft. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an acre of land. We’ve since added an additional full bathroom and Zillow tells me my home is now worth $300,000.

My husband frequently works on Town Mountain and comes home with bear prints on his door handles from where they’ve tried to open his door. Fortunately we don’t have bear out here in the country. They seem to be mostly a problem closer to the city.

You guuuuuys.  I am rooting for Cam Newton.  And you know that means the corollary to that is...I am rooting for the Patriots.  I hate myself.

Yea- I have family in New England and our thing is that I hate the Patriots and they give me a hard time about it. As a life long Panthers fan it gives me an ulcer just to even contemplate giving the Patriots an ounce of my attention because Cam is on the team. I’ve also never had an irrational hatred of Cam like many other Panthers fans have. I wish nothing but the best for him it just sucks it has to be with the Pats.

  11. How old is Spurgeon? I only barely paid any attention to this but I don’t give my kids steak. It’s too chewy and I’m afraid of them choking. It’s not until they turn about 7 or 8 that I let them really have more than a small piece of it. I do make them something else to eat though 🙂

Also, I’m of the mind that he really shouldn’t have been there in the first place. My in laws will frequently do a girls night and invite all the nieces (6 total) and it bugs that crap out of me because you know the only person that has boys in the family-me. So my two kids never get to be included in anything with their cousins because they are boys. Either invite all kids or no kids. Personally I prefer my girls nights to be kid free.

  12. Someone has to take the place of Alex when the unfortunately inevitable event occurs. I’d be fine with Ken. I pay no attention to him outside of his Jeopardy appearances so he doesn’t bother me. I’d prefer him over some other random celebrity personality that has no ties to Jeopardy.

  13. My kids haven’t gotten sick at all during lock down (knock on wood). I was almost at the point of having to have my youngest get ear tubes because of her constant ear infections, decided against it and she hasn’t had an ear infection since. So-great! But once they are able to be back in public I think they will be even more likely to get sick because we’ve been keeping them in a mostly germ free bubble. I mean it’s been great to not have the throwing up stomach bug this year but now we are just going to get it with a vengeance!

It is my opinion that virtual learning is a complete joke and we are doing our children (our future) a huge disservice by not coming up with a way to give them a proper education. If that means bubble wrap and masks and on days/off days what ever. It’s our children who are paying the price here.

Your kids and you are probably safer with virtual right now. Just because people are tiring of the pandemic doesn’t mean it’s getting any better. And winter is coming.

Don’t believe that but thanks. Now all these kids are going to get every Illness known to man because they haven’t been exposed to any germs in months. Pumping everyone with Vitamin D, C and a multi daily. The education system is a joke right now so yea- I’m with the Dullards on this one. Kids need to be in school. And now I’m probably banned 🙂

  15. Personally, I’m jealous they get to send their kids to an actual school building at all! We are all virtual here.
I have been a parent volunteer at my kids charter school in the past years. I had to attend an orientation meeting one time and then each year I have to renew my volunteer badge through something called BIB. They do a background check and it costs me something like $20.00. All field trips were done by bus and parents weren’t even allowed on the bus. We had to drive our own vehicles.  I was frequently left alone with the children in the classroom so the teacher could use the restroom or key copies, etc. I found it very rewarding because I would also be given my own group of about five or six kids that I would work with independently on reading or math, etc.

My renewal email came this week and I didn’t even bother because who knows when my kids will even be back to real school. My youngest is four and her preschool is closed. Not even a virtual option. I purchased a preschool curriculum and starting tomorrow will have my two nieces plus a preschool friend here at my home 3 days a week to do at home preschool. Every kid deserves an opportunity to learn 🙂

Vicki bought a vacation home in North Carolina.  She's going to make sure she keeps her nose in her daughter's business no matter how far away she's moved.

Lovely- hope it’s not at the lake I frequent. I’d hate to have her whooping it up ruin my good time at the lake or even worse end up getting an Air BNB next door to her- yikes!

  17. Yea- no. I didn’t get racist vibes at all from this show. Noel himself clearly misrepresented himself and how to pronounce his own name. It’s an easy name to question the pronunciation of. Selling Sunset didn’t even have a single person of color on the show. Maybe just a blanket statement of all real estate shows are racist would fit here. I didn’t get any different vibe here than from any of the Million Dollar Listing shows either.

  18. I definitely like this better than Selling Sunset. Actual properties! Some drama. I’m on episode 3 and wish the episodes were a bit longer but I am loving the real estate so far!

Noel seems a bit of a pompous ass. Changing his name so it doesn’t rhyme with his twin brother’s only for Joel to call him out on it had me LOL!

I can’t remember the football player guy’s name who is having a baby but he’s got eyes that verge on serial killer and it finally dawned on me who he looks like- Darren Criss. That’s all I got for now.

  19. I thought it was completely ridiculous that someone who owns a business called Emergency Plumbing, blah , blah, blah had to even question if he was essential. Really? Of course you are essential dumbass!

I too was surprised at the lack of face coverings but that was at the very early stages of the pandemic when people were being told that masks didn’t make a difference.

Aubrey in Indy was a real control freak.  I feel sorry for her husband.

I don't get these overengaged moms on HH who need to be right next to their kids.  Don't you have a life of your own???

Life of your own? Ha! Since March I’ve had nothing of my own. I have three kids. When I was house hunting I had no idea I’d need to find a house with a school room in it for my kids.

I do get what your saying though 😉
