  1. OK.  It's official.  Dylan is my current TV boyfriend.

When Remo dumped the water on him, I kept saying, "His shirt is wet!  That must be uncomfortable!  Shouldn't he take his shirt off?"  I don't know that my husband was amused.

I loved Emma getting some.  I especially loved when she goes to take the oxygen off, and Cupcake says, "Is that going to be alright?"  And she says, "Unless we're going underwater.  We're not, are we?"  And he says, "Not that i know of."  Hee.  I hope he turns out to just be a sweet pot selling guy with some farming ambitions, and not someone who is going to do Emma harm.

For reasons I don't fully understand, I hate Romero, so I did not enjoy the exchanges between him and Norma.  Although she was great.  "I'd be outta town right away because I figure you'd be on my ass."  And I have to say, I agree with Romero on one thing.  DON'T DO MY LAUNDRY WITHOUT PERMISSION.  They're called boundaries, Norma.  I know you don't believe in them but others do.

I hope Sir Drug Lord will be out of the picture soon.  At the rate that the drug kingpins fall in this town, I might get my wish.

Cody is a snot but she is a huge improvement over Bradley.  She has a personality, however unpleasant it may be.  And I'm sort of interested in finding out her backstory.

  2. She did mention that she made a whole meatloaf although it was just B-Man and her for dinner.  She said something like meatloaf is the best ever leftover (I happen to agree it's good, but my vote for best is beef stew).  The loaf was on the larger side but not colossal.  I think two pounds of ground beef maybe and the typical amount of bread soaked in milk.  (Oh sorry, it was Ciabatta to make it Italian).  So I'm thinking it was not quadruple sized.

And thanks for reminding me of the second Bassett's name!  I could only remember Charlie.  They are the uncredited stars of the show.

  3. I saw the rum cake and floating island rehearsal dinner show today. That was one of the only times I felt like she really fell short!

I agree.  But part of me likes watching to see the bitch face on the bride-to-be when she's presented with her choices.  Because I'm perverse that way.

And not even that, she just brings that kitchenaid bowl out, doesn't even bother to put the whipped cream into a nicer bowl??

This always bothers me too.  I get the argument that it's meant to be down-home or whatever.  But she puts things in STERLING SILVER bowls when it's just her and Jeffery for Friday night chicken.

  4. Trying to fit into the norms of my new land so I am creating an espisode thread.

I had to look up the season and episode number, and I am amazed.  This is the 7th season???

Anyway, I watched the Bryceeeee episode the other day.  Bryce is a cute kid and you can tell he does have animated expressions like Ree said in her voiceover.  Of course he was on camera and probably mugs it up more in real life - I'm sure he is quite funny.  I wonder if he likes being called either B-Man or Bryceeee.

Ree made an Italian meatloaf.  And she used FOUR eggs!  I usually use one.  Are four eggs typical?

I saw the recipe for the "salad" was called "B-Man Salad."  It should have been "B-Man Dressed Lettuce," because literally that's all it was.

I loved the scene of B-Man with the Bassett hound.  Those dogs are the best part of this show.

  5. For me, I found Victor at his best with Ashley and then later on Hope.  I thought he was truly tender and very endearing with Hope.

I completely agree with this.  Both of these women managed to bring out the best in Victor (at least back in the day; the most recent Ashley/Victor retread not so much).  This is part of why I absolutely HATED what they did to Adam.  No child raised by Hope would be turn out to be a vent-crawling gaslighting babynapping DNA-planting (probably) murderer.  If they needed to do all that crap for DRAH-MA they should have brought on a new character.  If they needed to tie that character to the canvas they should have made him a Fisher or a Baldwin - there's plenty of dysfunction and crazy in that family.  But Hope's son?  Just, no.

I really hope when Thing is recast with the rest of Adam, he has had a turnaround and maybe had a brain tumor removed or something.

And yes, I also hope they don't pair him with Sharon.  She didn't bat an eye when he died and he tossed evidence that could clear her of murder into the river and didn't blink.  They're a more toxic pair than Nikki and Victor, and that's saying something.

  6. Just popping in to say hello, and ooh, the shiny!

Hee, I'm with you, I love the shiny too!

So one more time we got to hear that Ridge is a different man since returning from Paris.  I was not among those who originally thought this was a big middle finger to Ronnnnnn Moss.  But now they've said it so many times now I'm starting to wonder.

I'm also wondering if they really are wiping the slate clean for Brooke and Bill.  The scenes with FakeRidge and Brooke have been so very flat.  Well, part of that is TK's wooden delivery, but he is marginally better with Katie - if they didn't want to stick a stake in Ridge and Brooke they could try a little harder for some heat.

Eh.  Who am I kidding?  This will last six weeks on the outside and Ridge and Brooke will be reuniting.

  7. Welcome to everyone!  I am so glad to see everyone here; it give me hope that our grand tradition of snarking on this hot mess of a show will continue!

A belated thanks to Dave for moving this over into its own forum.  And for what it's worth I like Forrester's Rangers.  :-)

I agree with you, Snaporaz, they do seem to be pushing Aly into Sheila Carter territory.  That gets old fast and it's a shame because she's one of the most interesting things on the show these days.

The flashbacks today with Quinn and Bill reminded me of something.  They look too much alike for my tastes.  In the flashback they were even dressed alike almost, in the same black skinny jeans.  They SEEM too much alike too . . . almost like siblings.  I just don't like them together although it was nice to see sex depicted as not "a great romance destiny we'll be together forever!" but just plain fun between adults.

I like what Bill says about Ridge.  I think Bill is an awful person but Ridge is a tool and  it can't be said often enough for me.

  8. I dunno, I thought shirtless Dylan was pretty good.  </shallow>

But yeah, a dirty little secret of mine is that I like this show, but I can't stay awake for the whole episode the first time.  Monday is not a good night for me for staying awake for the slow parts.  I always have to go back and watch it On Demand to see what I missed.
