So, watching the game day takeover on insta, and Marissa is announced as the promise girl. What’s that? I’ve seen game day girl… sideline sweetheart… announcement of whoever gets Abbey Bear… but promise girl is a new one on me. Can anyone shed any light?

Gosh, I’ll tell you what y’all. Disclaimer, I haven’t finished watching the Netflix show yet… but the one who has stood out to me massively is Caroline. During her tenure I always thought she was a bit bland, but she has shown tons more personality than I feel she ever did on MTT.

I did wonder why she was at auditions. Tess I got, as she’s the Director of the Miami Hurricanettes (I think that’s right?) but Jessika? She’s always been bland to me. Always thought they should have taken Kyndall over her when it came to their “two for one special” but there we are.

I only remember because it has been on fairly recently in the UK. Yes, that’s what I was getting at. Alanna was barely mentioned but Sarah got huge praise, certainly in the early rounds.

No, I believe that was Sarah. Both Laker Girls but only Alanna made it to Training Camp. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure the vibe was that Sarah was the stronger dancer. Katy was the UCLA dancer. Absolutely loved her - and with Charm’s backing… she obviously had something. Who did they compare her to, where they said similar look but less fluff?

It’s not just VK I’ve noticed. So the uniform fitting segments, when Kelli discusses the bra sizes of the ladies etc … think season 9 Loren “… they’re mine!” All cut from MTV’s broadcast. Most weight discussions they’ve cut… although camera angles where they’ve zoomed in on stomachs have remained, so that doesn’t quite add up. Maybe they felt it was too intrusive to have their weight discussed? But then why have the lingering camera angles?

I honestly thought I’d missed a bit. One minute VK has her head in her hands “There’s still 7 cuts, what if I’m one of them!” And the next Jinelle is offering to help her… with no context as to why. I wondered if it was just because it was weight, could it be deemed a more sensitive conversation so that’s why it was edited out? They have been showing season 3/4 over the weekend, which had the fat test when the ladies had to turn up in their bikinis and got their body fat percentage, so will have to see if any of that is cut!

Thank you @DCC-UK for alerting me to the fact that making the team is on MTV! As you say, it’s been great to watch on a TV as opposed to a dodgy internet stream. So we’re on season 13 atm which I love for the rookies (Hannah, Bridget, Jalyn, Ashlee, Erin, Brennan, Cianna, Gabby … honestly I love this class). Interestingly, they’ve edited out VK’s weight conversations. You see her in the office with Jinelle, and you only see her say “I’d love to empty my brain into yours”, Kitty who says “Give her the respect” but they’ve completely cut the actual weight conversation. So if you were a first time viewer you’d have no idea what Kitty meant with her respect comment. Wondered if US TV/Pluto has done the same thing? Or if that’s just UK/MTV editing?
