ITA. And if Deaven had maybe, I don't know, tried to learn some Korean, she could have communicated better with the parents? I don't expect the parents to rush out and learn English, but considering Deaven and Nell are moving to Korea, a few classes might be in order. Not that that's going to happen with that chick.

While that would have been nice I'd even be willing to give her a pass on that if she showed just the tiniest bit of empathy.  She knew before she even picked them up from the airport that they were going to have trouble dealing with Drascilla.  The MINUTE that kid started acting up she should have at least attempted to tone her down rather than expect every one to simply put up with her behavior.  Imagine, you are in a strange country, you do not speak the language and you are subjected to THAT child.  I give Jihoon's parents credit for not simply walking out.

I’m not buying him swigging down the booze. It had to be a bottle he planted there with ice tea or flat cola, possibly a bit of booze too. I think he wanted to give a tough guy appearance on camera.

He would have to be pretty demented to think that looked tough and not desperate.  Someone chugging THAT quantity of booze really ONLY comes off as alcoholic - not tough.

Totally agree. She is (allegedly) moving to Korea to live with them, not the other way around. She kept bleating on and on about needing to impress them with her domestic skills, so why not prepare a Korean meal? Oh, because that would require the utilization of her brain cells, never mind.

I'm going to cut her a break on the American meal.  Maybe she was hoping since they were in a foreign country they would appreciate experiencing foreign things, not just eat the same stuff they always get.  (They WERE commenting that American eggs were white and theirs were yellow - it is possible they would have genuinely appreciated the effort to show them something different.)

However, when it became apparent 5 minutes in to trying to cook said breakfast that neither Jihoon nor his parents were charmed be Dracilla's "manners" she should have dealt with her immediately and not tried to convince Jihoon that his parents were somehow wrong.

  4. I know they need to move the plot along somehow, but why was Xander even bothering to talk to Hope?  As he pointed out, more than once, she is NOT a cop and therefore has no authority whatsoever.  He could have simply said he bought it from Ted at the pawn shop (not that Hope even deserved that much of an explanation) and then left.  While it was entertaining to see Hope actually use the Salem brain today it would have made FAR more sense if she had asked him, he had answered, and she pretended to take his story at face value.  And then followed him.

And somehow, it is OK for her to be moving on but she gets the sadz because Rafe had a ONS with Carrie.  I guess every man she was ever with (even if she is the one who dumped him) must be doomed to spend the rest of his life pining for her.

I want a magic shirt like Ted's.  He was literally using it as a towel and then puts it back on.  Not only is it completely dry it is freshly ironed!

But, I think slamming a door has been considered rude in every culture throughout history that has had doors.

Exactly. Where I come from, no one ever slams doors. The rare times it may happen, it would be quite shocking.

I am they youngest of 7.  If there were an Olympic tag-team door slamming competition my family would have won the GOLD.  And Debbie was right when she said "I didn't slam the door.  THIS is slamming the door."  I really think Larissa is picking that particular thing because it is easy to say her perception was that Debbie slammed the door.

I remember she said this but I didn't buy it.  She never worked hard enough for any appreciable muscle gain.

This is when she was working with an actual trainer one on one.  Not someone who was letting her do two reps with 3 pound weights and calling it weight training.  She really was exercising for a while.  The scale just wasn't moving so she gave up.

Maybe she isn’t as immature as TLC is portraying but all she has done is squeal about how in love she is with Sumit and her new life then turn around and complain about everything (which she should have known already from her previous visit and the research she should have done).  The emotional swings seem like typical teenage behaviour and at 60 it’s either put on or she never really grew up.

Count me among those looking forward to the confrontation with Sumit’s parents.  I can already hear “I’m an American woman and we do/don’t (whatever)” LOL!!!

I'm not saying she is behaving like a mature adult in her relationship with Sumit.  To say she is acting like a teenager is insulting many teenagers.  I'm simply saying that judging her because she is leaving children and grandchildren behind is unfair.

It's different because men are twice as strong as women. And that's the average man.

Except not EVERY man is larger than the woman he is with.  Some men prefer larger women (or don't care.)   There are MANY women capable of packing a real wallop - especially if really angry.

    3 hours ago, zillabreeze said:

That's zackly right.  Either we (females) are equals or we aren't.  If a man is expected to control his temper in a conflict and NOT strike.  Then a woman has to play by the same rules.

AND, men are told to never strike a woman in anger.  While I agree, THEY SHOULDN'T they also shouldn't be expected to stand there and take it.

If she had emotional maturity, she would not be leaving her kids and grandkids and moving to India to be with someone so much younger than her.

Yes, she annoys me, too.   She had a lot in the US to keep her here, more than most.  You know this will not end well for her.

No one would fault her daughter (or say she was emotionally immature) if she chose to live away from her mother.  Why is Jenny considered emotionally immature because she does not want to live near her kids and grandkids?  Just because someone is older doesn't mean she needs to make her kids and grandkids her only focus in life.  There are many other grandparents who lead full lives of there own and are not criticized for it.  Maybe she doesn't want her kids and grandkids to feel they MUST be available to her because she is staying around for them.

Not familiar with the Bible either.

I had it mixed up with Little Red Riding Hood. But that wolf was dressed up like granny.

I just thought it was a really common expression - I didn't know it was from the Bible either - I thought it was from an Aesop's fable.

I always check other websites when I find something on Ebay to make sure it's not available cheaper somewhere else.

I am the same way and am proud of being frugal! 😊 When I saw Garrison post about the sundresses I did a google image search for "sunflower sundress" and got hits from AliExpress etc. for next to nothing. The black sunflower dress is $21.99 on amazon right now but it can be found a few places for under $7.00.  The same stock images are used for all the sites.

I think Alibaba/AliExpress/"Whatever" are Chinese companies = very low quality maybe same level as lulano! Basically a cheapo way to make $$. See the markup he is posting. Sad that he is going down this road too...

Yes, why would you pay more for something just because some "celebrity" is shilling it?  I think most of the kids start down that path (be interesting to see of some of the other sons resist all together) and SOME of them (primarily Logan, don't know yet if Maddie will still be doing the MLM crap after the next baby) come to the realization that this is NOT the way they want to live their lives.

Well good for Mykeltip for plugging away at LLR, I can't help but think that had she put this much energy into her bank job before she "quite", she would be enjoying the benefits of 9-5, pension plan, paid holidays and a modicum of security.

I dunno, for 23 years old, Mykelti appears matronly to me.  Maybe it's the clothes.

Given the fact that her posts are filled with typos I think she was woefully underqualified for her bank job.  She probably saw the writing on the wall before she "quite."  She'd probably be great in a job where she got to interact with the public on a regular basis (tour guide, docent, etc.)  I don't think she's cut out for the corporate world.

And yes, for 23 she does appear matronly and it IS the clothes.  Even if she manages to find something that fits reasonably well the fabric screams "I'm an old lady in a nursing home."

Are there toilets in that little room Ted and Kate are locked in?

    Isn't champagne sticky?

There is no bathroom - hence no water to drink or wash with.  Unless there's something in the corner they've been ignoring, we're supposed to think people can magically go for days with no need to pee.  I know this may qualify as a spoiler but they showed Ted today wiping himself off with his shirt.  He is shown in a spoiler wearing the same white shirt magically without stains or wrinkles!!!  I need one of those magic shirts.

Congratulations!  We've just officially hired you to be our "Mykelti to English" translator!

OOH does the job come with free contact paper nails?  (I can't ask if it comes with free Lulano - I wouldn't wear that crap to clean the chicken coop.)

Looks like an ok spread for guests, I mean, I'm not expecting gourmet cheese and fancy frou-frou at a free BnB picnic. And let's be honest, if she had expensive goodies out there people would be accusing her of living large and saying how it must be nice that she can afford all this high-falutin' food.

That being said, I like well-done dogs but those look both over and undercooked - black on the outside yet no splits or slices. And my OCD tendencies have an issue with eating food that's left sitting outside for any length of time. I don't like bugs of any kind with my food!

At least the meat WAS an attempt but they look like they were simply dropped on the charcoal - no grate.  I am a terrible cook but, if I ate hot dogs, I would definitely be able to cook them better than that!

Their "spread" is olives, tomatoes, and some white shredded stuff?  Wow.  Color me impressed.

But you're completely ignoring the TINY bowl of greens and the pickles!  Not to mention I see what looks like Kraft American cheese slices - if THAT isn't high end I don't know what is.

Oh, I forgot to mention this, I think the fact that everyone was watching fireworks there confirms that Salem Place (or whatever it's called) is not indoors.

Haven't you figured out yet it is a magical place that moves from indoors to outdoors based on need?  (Actually I thought the pub wasn't in Salem Place but the geography of Salem is so wonky Einstein couldn't figure it out - some days it takes 20 minutes to drive somewhere and the next day someone else walks there in 5 minutes.)
